Upon our 'unexpected' 2 and a half week stay at "Yosemite Paradise Inn",... located in Greeley Hill, California - a 'Gateway', just moments away from "Yosemite National Park"....is the moment my husband and I had decided to conclude that this 'first' vacation from home, on the border of Central Washington and Canada...a "First-Class-Official-Flop"!! The trains, buses, an added day of travel....which caught us stranded at our last train station!....and for an added bonus: an automobile that was not only a gas hog but Constantly exposed severe issues which were leading Us, to experience Our issues! As the wind blew, we were lead apprx 2 miles NW, off hwy 120s beautiful green forests, with the promise of Yosemites' picturesque existence in the near, yet distant view up ahead...is when we arrive at Yosemites Paradise Inn. Our introduction began on a unpaved dirt road, with gentle bends, escorted by Pine trees, with splinters of the Sun smiling lightly thru. We continued and crossed over the sturdy, little colorfully lit bridge, that crossed a creek, * it was perfectly framed with cat-tails and pussywillows that quietly purged into a lovely pond, decorated by the lush green floor that birthed the Pines and the other assorted trees. All appeared to proudly show off the beautiful colors I smelled, thru the wisps of each breeze that touched the surrounding flora and fauna. Exhausted and hoping for a second breath to kick in...I slowly ascended the 3 steps that announced a heightened awareness of the natural elements encompassing me and the long patio deck that led me to the entrance of this beautiful 'Bed-n-Breakfast'. I was graciously greeted by Hostess: Marilynn, her spouse Larry and a handsome 3 year old 'clone' of themselves named: Patrick. After a lovely introduction and tour-I located my room. Opening the door, I found a suite that was comparable to a Beverley Hills, 5-Star accommodation... minus over priced mini fridge! The rest of my experience will be jotted down in my future book of travels and can guarantee- my entire stay continued as it had begun....and even Better. This experience will be called: Fairy Tales ARE Real at Yosemite Paradise...
Read moreThe room with a Queen was just right for me. Clean, roomy, work desk, mini fridge, micro, TV and Internet. Just right for a bit of business on the road. Bright, clean bathroom. The shower was good but with water restrictions, a bit less than sporty water flow. Small issue. Our hosts are awesome. Like others have said; they waited up for me. Waking up to Quail and Deer each morning outside my window was so wonderful. The breakfast on the deck was very enjoyable with the fresh smell of the trees and the view of the pond and camp sites just below, with humming birds busy at their feeders. Marylin and Larry are so friendly and supportive. The Covid thing has put a crimp in their normal food service but they provided me with a more than I expected selection for breakfast. They even provide heat and serve food in the room. Both are world travel experienced and can interact with travelers from all over the world. Larry and I talked extensively as we have experienced many of the same things around the world. That was very relaxing for me. Marylin is a dynamo of a hostess. I'm coming back for sure. It is a unique place. It will re-set your attitudes toward your...
Read moreWe were visiting California for a short getaway. We could not find any hotel nearby Yosemite National Park. My friend stumbled and tried to forego with BNB type of accommodation. Upon reading the positive reviews from the site of AirBnB my friend booked it. Driving from Yosemite going to the this place was a bit long since the usual route that was supposed to be taken has been flooded due to rain, and we had been advised to take a different route. As we arrived at almost 6pm Marilyn was the one who welcome us with a genuine smile, ushered us to our room, showed us the place. The warm hospitality was amazing, making our first BnB experience unforgettable. Larry and Marilyn made sure that we have the amenities we needed during our stay. They also made sure the place is squeaky clean. You will never regret staying at Marilyn and Larry's place. ||- just a helpful tip to travelers: if you will try to put the address on the GPS it may not be able to find it, but all you have to do is locate it through the...
