This was a great hotel but it also had a lot of quirks and there were many weird things about our stay. First, the main guy that was there did seem friendly but he also had very slurred speech and I could never tell what he was saying. Another thing, it would have been fun if they actually had their pool functioning and heated during our stay. The first day we were there, it was almost ice cold. I got in the next day and it was so cold that I couldn’t be in there for more than 15 seconds and felt like I might faint. It was very odd how after this, they had someone come to “fix” it but it was still just as cold for the rest of our stay. Also, it was kind of frustrating that they only provided us one bar of soap and one bottle of lotion as well as never looked to refill the body wash or shampoo. The hotel room itself was really nice an I loved how it had a full fridge, dishwasher, plates, cups, mugs, bowls, silverware, and a whole sink as well as the full bathroom with a handheld shower head. These were all very nice additions. Also, the breakfast here was good but it also could have been better with a waffle maker. Also, another thing about the room that I found super special. The housekeeping folded our towels in the bathroom into different shapes like flowers and animals. This was a really nice touch and something they did not need to do. It almost made me feel like I was staying on a cruise ship. The heating and cooling unit in here was super nice in that you could actually control the thermostat temperature. The gym here was very nice as well as the laundry room. The best things about this place were it’s free breakfast, free gym, the location and the room. It would have been nice if the pool was heated and working and if they had a hot tub. If that is a big deal to you, stay in the Residence Inn down the road, they look to have both of those. This hotel is very new and in a convenient location about an hour away from New York City and Philadelphia as well as about 30 minutes away from Six Flags...
Read moreFirst let’s talk about management Matt Lincoln....Let’s start there!!! ..Here’s one thing that happened we were’s residing there in a pandemic ....the whole Marriott was empty it was only us there ...he was trying to get us to move out of that room into another room during a pandemic !!! so I had to go to corporate and inform them he’s trying to make us move during a pandemic ( There was supposed to be nobody moving at all) we don’t know who moved out of the other place where he was TRYING to move us into, and he didn’t care until we went to corporate and they stopped it. After that he had hate in his eyes .!!!!!! it was wrong what he was doing but like I said I can go on and on about things. he’s unprofessional ...two faced....Sneaky...Poor management skills...He has a smile but it’s fake and it’s sneaky . He does NOT care about people or YOUR stay at Marriott...I had to go higher to corporate to get any kind of results...During the summer we resided there at one of the suites...I wouldn’t go there -I wouldn’t deal with him Ever again. I work for for the government and I will NEVER refer ANYONE to that Marriott because of him. I can name a whole bunch of other things and how we were treated which I feel are discriminatory , but we’re not gonna even go there !!! don’t take your chances or stay there, There are plenty of other places in this area of Monmouth Junction to stay at that are Appropriate... Very unprofessional management , you’ll be sorry if you go there And...

Here on business for a few days. I usually try to stay at "suites" hotels if I am there for more than a day or two. I saw this hotel was a short 5-minute drive to the office and had consistently good reviews.
Large parking lot. Efficient check-in process. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern hallways and rooms.
Rooms had kitchenette with stovetop, dinnerware, coffee maker, microwave and full-sized refrigerator. Large wall-mounted TV on swivel mount with lots of channels and free HBO. Also internet TV like youtube available. Comfy bed with clean sheets. Efficient room temperature controls. Desk with chair. Ottoman. Spacious and clean bathroom with great water pressure. Lots of electrical and USB outlets throughout the room; desk and bedsides.
The gym was adequate with an elliptical, two treadmills, free weights and a weight rack machine.
The free breakfast had two hot items (sausage and eggs) and other packaged/ready items: bagels, muffins, milk, juice, cereal, oatmeal, oranges, tea and coffee. Tea and coffee are available all day in the lobby.
There is a small "pantry" section with drinks and snacks for sale.
There is a Wendy's in the parking lot but it closes early so you may need to use the drive through later on.
This is a pet friendly hotel...I did hear one dog barking intermittently on my floor but I was further down the hall and did not hear anything...
