Majestic mountain accommodations with breathtaking views. The Cedar Bend cabin at Whispering Oaks Ranch was a vacation that our family will cherish for years. Set upon a ledge just below the peaks of the La Sal Mountains, the western views included Moab, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The cabin itself is large and spacious with a downstairs gathering area around the fireplace and a large dining area and kitchen. There were ample supplies for preparing and serving meals. We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner. Upstairs had a game room replete with activities for everyone. All six rooms had private bathrooms and were impeccably decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the hot tub revealed a starry sky undimmed by city lights. The drive from Moab took about 35 minutes with a climb to 7,800 feet. The temperature difference in November was 10 -15 degrees cooler. We truly appreciated the quiet isolation and tranquil peace found at the remote Cedar Bend cabin, especially at the height of the pandemic. The cost was comparable to what we would have incurred to stay at multiple condos or hotels in Moab to accommodate our large extended family. We had the perfect vacation and family reunion. We would definitely return.

I used Whispering Oaks Ranch for my July 6th wedding. I had 35 guests to include the wedding party which worked out perfectly. We had half the cabins rented from Wednesday on and all the cabins Friday and Saturday. This allowed everyone to spend a long weekend together enjoying the beautiful La Sals and Arches National Park before the wedding itself. It was very important for me to have all the visiting family and friends get to spend more than an afternoon getting to know each other so Whispering Oaks was PERFECT. There is no time wasted bouncing around town from venue to venue for ceremony and reception and your guests get to relax and enjoy them selves the ENTIRE time. The weather was great, not too hot during the day and only a little chilly at night. Wind only began to pick up as we were wrapping up the reception and was not bad enough to affect anything. The views and property are truly stunning and the stars at night were unreal. The cabins are gorgeous, very well maintained and are stocked with anything you need (Iron/Ironing board/ pots/pans/etc). The Hubby and I will definitely be going back for an anniversary vacation someday!

I had to cancel my birthday plans with friends because of the COVID mandate in Utah. I decided to take my dogs with me on a little solo getaway instead. We are very familiar with the area and usually go camping. For a special occasion, I am so glad i found this gem. My dogs loved the property, The Sagewood had every amenity we could hope for. We didn't see anyone almost the whole time we were there, and coming from the city we really really enjoyed the quiet location and stars from the hot tub! The price was just right during off season. A few recommendations: if you bring pets during a muddy/snowy season i recommend bringing your own towels for muddy paws. My dogs shed quite a bit and i also brought some of my own extra blankets to cover the furniture since dogs aren't allowed up on them. (mine stay off but sometimes sneak onto a bed/couch during the night when i'm sleeping). If you can get there before dark, i'd recommend it. the drive is beautiful and we saw some wildlife and ice on the road heading up. i was glad it was still light out. Bring your own dog poop bags!

This cabin experience was amazing to say the least. The ride up was very scenic and beautiful. The cabin (Grey Dawn) was right off the main road and provided privacy in an intimate space and property. We were pleasantly surprised to see the outdoor hot tub (which we used as soon as we settled in). We were also surprised to see a black and white cat approach our front door as soon as we pulled up. Later to find out that the property has 4 cats that are used to roam the area for mice. The cat (which we named Oreo) was harmless and didn't bother us too much (I am not a cat person, but it was nice to have a guardian of the cabin). The amenities in the cabin were great, good coffee choices, hot plates, griddles. A small downside was we had to wash our dishes (who likes doing dishes?). We had stayed at another cabin in Zion where the dishes were washed for us and that was convenient. The views from the second floor bedroom were amazing, as well as the view from the hot tub. I would recommend getting everything you need (food, alcohol, etc) beforehand, because its a pretty good drive to anything close. We walked the property a bit. The "ponds" that they have were not really that impressive (we only went to two of them), but the cabana area was nice (we didn't spend too much time there), You could read a book or just hang out if you don't have much to do. Its very quiet and scenic in the area. We didn't see 1 other person from the time we checked in (just right into the open cabin with the keys inside for us) to the time we left. Everything in the cabin was clean and up to date (as much as a "cabin" can be). They had Direct TV and an electric fireplace which was nice. The bathroom toilet was a little finicky but they warn you about that in the literature. Without having seen anyone from the property or talked to anyone on the phone, I still felt that the management were so helpful and accommodating. I received multiple pieces of literature about the property, directions, etc in my email prior to our arrival, and then when we arrived there was a similar packet with much more additional information right on the table when we checked in. It really made it feel like they wanted you there and that you were truly their guests. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again without a doubt. If you don't mind a little bit of a ride (25-30 mins) down the mountain to get to Moab, then I would recommend you stay here, definitely worth the trip. I felt like i was vacationing like a King when I was there, and the cost was very affordable (for what you are provided with)....

Whispering Oaks Ranch made the wedding of my dreams possible, safely, when Covid attempted to shut it down.

Whispering Oaks Ranch is outstanding and private with ponds and 4x4 trails right outside the cabins. I had originally planned my entire wedding to be at Whispering Oaks this summer. Due to Covid, we had to change our plans. During the changes that were needed whispering Oaks was absolutely incredible with their customer service. They treated me like family. And they still made sure I got the wedding of my dreams despite the Covid cloud of doom. The administration and customer service is bar none, I would hire them for my own company in an instant.

My family occupied one cabin on the resort and we use it as home base. It is not too far from Moab at all, and if you take the scenic route which takes 10 minutes longer you will be captivated by the beauty Moab has to offer and will wish the drive took longer. This location is close to arches, Moab, canyonlands, Dead horse State Park, and is nestled up in the lasalle mountains. It was absolutely incredible seeing the red rocks in the distance while maintaining a mountain feel.

without whispering Oaks ranch and their work ability, I would not have been able to enjoy the wedding of my dreams. They were so accommodating and lovely, and the rooms and cabins are out of a story book. We stayed in the lone Branch cabin which has the most adorable old-fashioned yet brand new appliances, and a quaint beautiful feel. My glam squad came up the morning of the wedding to get us ready, and we sat on the deck overlooking the LaSalle mountains and Moab as we got ready, not a bad setup if you ask me!

My mother-in-law who came in town from back east was absolutely shaken by the enormous amount of beauty that surrounded us everywhere we went, especially during our stay out whispering Oaks. She has since begun assembling plans to get her entire European family out here from Belgium to see all the beauty and experience the wonderness of Whispering Oaks.

Please support this beautiful business, you will not regret it. I will...

We found Whispering Oaks Ranch a couple of months ago when I was looking for a cabin to surprise my wife on a short trip to Moab, and what an outstanding surprise it was. It suited our tastes and desires perfectly. The “Ranch” is about a half hour outside Moab in the foothills of the beautiful La Sal Mountain range. The town of Moab, The Arches and The Canyonlands National Parks are spread out before you, integrating themselves into the most amazing sunrises and sunsets you have ever seen. We just came back from our second visit. This time we took a few of our sons friends who were visiting from out of the area. We wanted the trip to be special as our son is a high school senior and we know the opportunity for time together is waning. To see the surprise on these teenage boys’ faces when they arrived and watch them enjoy three days of perfection at the Ranch was priceless. The Ranch is made up of various size cabins from a studio to a mind boggling 6 bedroom residence (sleeps 24). We stayed at Wildflower (a one bedroom) and stayed with the boys at Cedar Bend (the 6 bedroom), but after a walk around the property and the secluded cabins, we would gladly stay at any one of them. I am in the Hospitality industry, working at a Colorado ski resort and when we get away we really like seclusion, but do not want to find ourselves lacking in comfort or amenities. Whispering Oaks Ranch fits the bill and I see many return trips in our future. The entire experience from booking, to pre-arrival and post stay (oops forgot something in the cabin)...
