I'm writing from the perspective of a "big rig" at 43' long. While I think a 45' MH could also use the CG it might seem a tad more claustrophobic all around.

When you get to the turn off to the CG it is a touch on the rough and hilly side...hey...what do you expect in the hills of SC? The road is a tad narrow if you were to meet someone coming the other way but it isn't long so just be aware of that. As you get to the office you also need to be aware of your width as there is a small island that you go around (both inbound and outbound) that only gives you a couple feet of clearance on each side of the wheels. It is quite doable even with a toad but just be aware of that. On the outbound keep an eye out for a set of steps on your right side that lead from the upper CG area to the pool. That is even a bit tighter.

We were greeted at the office and the folks were very friendly and ready to help us to the site. We unhooked our toad at the office before we made the trek up to the area of pull throughs. The roads are still on the narrow side but the turns are well paved so at no time did we need to travel over grass. Also...they have done a GREAT job in keeping tree limbs trimmed back away from the routes around the CG. No danger of scratching the coach.

We had site 33. It and all the other pull throughs seem pretty level and had excellent satellite access. Our site was plenty long enough for us and our toad. Once level we needed to use our portable steps at their lowest setting. The patio is plenty long enough to reach most any location of RV stairs so no need to step into the red clay that is prominent in that area.

Hook ups are well laid out. Water pressure was 50 PSI or better. Water quality seems very good too. WIFI was a tad on the slow side but sufficient for general use and even watching some You Tube stuff.

Departure route turns are just a tad tighter so we elected to do our hook ups outside of the CG near the main road leading to it. I really don't think we needed to but we tend to be cautious maneuvering in these tighter road ways.

Besides the pull through sites there are several other back in sites that would be reasonable options for longer set ups. Looking at those sited I think they might not be as level as the one we had but I didn't see any wheels off the ground either.

All and all...if we come back to that area we would...

We booked this park approximately 6 months in advance to visit the Spartanburg and Greenville areas. We found the location super convenient and within driving distance to lots of eateries, grocery stores, etc.... Our kiddo's enjoyed the jumping pad and game room. We stayed in site #33 which had a built in Fireplace. Also had a premium set of table and chairs, and concrete pad and patio. Overall, we were very pleased with the site itself.

Pro's:

  1. Lots of amenities. Fishing, Game Room, Pool (open during summer), Jump Pillow, small playground, several greens spaces, community fire pit, and a random basketball hoop in the grass.
  2. Site #33 was a level concrete pad. Long enough for us to fit both our 46' Fifth wheel and both vehicles.
  3. Overall, the campground seemed quite clean, and the seasonal/annual campers kept their campsites clean and orderly. Transient sites cleaned daily, and the campground hosts were all real nice.
  4. Propane sold onsite! Great small general store as well.
  5. Only 10 minutes from Walmart, restaurants, and other convenient stores.
  6. Quiet and friendly. No road noise and pretty easy access.
  7. Good value when you book early and stay at least a week. Premium site was only $55/night all in!

Con's:

  1. Can be pretty tight for big rigs. The skinny road in can be a bit tricky and some of the turns within the park are pretty tight.
  2. Game room needs a dehumidifier. Pretty musty smelling and damp feeling.
  3. Interior roads have had recent construction? Gravel patches across old asphalt. Realistically, roads all need to be redone, but it may be more economical to just rip all the old asphalt out and just go nice compact gravel through to make it uniform and less bumpy. Some pretty good potholes throughout.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever found ourselves in...

Pine Ridge Campground is a big rig friendly RV park. We stayed in a 45' 5th wheel for a month and had no issues navigating the park. There is a steep hill when entering the RV park. However, we navigated this without any problems. The park management also requests that all outbound RVs leave before noon and incoming RVs arrive after 2 pm. Anyone coming early with an RV will be greeted at the road entrance and escorted. Everyone we interacted with at the park was friendly and helpful. The sites are level and include a fire pit and picnic table with a mix of back-in and pull-through sites. The sites range in length, so mention your rig size when making a reservation. The water quality was excellent, and the pressure and flow were also perfect. They have a small fenced-in dog park and plenty of open spaces to walk your four-legged friends. In addition, they have a catch-and-release lake and many benches to relax and feed the ducks. They have a good-sized pool, playground, a huge blow-up bounce pad, and a fun walking trail that take you through the woods. The restroom and laundry facility was spotless and always stocked. The park adheres to quiet times and is far enough away from roads, making this a very tranquil place. The park is located minutes away from many restaurants and shopping. This location has good cell service. We used an amplified antenna, and the following speeds were observed. AT&T 30 Mbps down, 20 Mbps up. T-Mobile was 5 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up, and Verizon was 5 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up. If this review was helpful, please give it a...

This is a nice campground, nothing fancy, but good easily accessible sites, full hookups, clean bathhouse and laundry facilities. We stayed one night in February, and there were many long term campers, with large campground supplied propane tanks. There were plenty of empty sites to choose from, and the owners were very accommodating to let us choose whichever one we wanted. They have online booking and at the time even offered a 10% discount for doing so. There's a playground for kids and a little pond. The sites are a mix of gravel, asphalt, and concrete. The electrical receptacle was fairly new looking, though ours was a little too close to the ground, so our surge protector sort of laid on the ground. Not a big problem but it was raining and the cover on ours doesn't close all they way, so I covered it with a small tub. I believe the rate for the pull through site we were in was $42.00 without the online booking discount, so price was very reasonable. They have WiFi but say it's not good enough for streaming, and it priced too be a little sketchy even for continuous internet connectivity during our overnight stay. We had just enough Verizon 4G signal to do regular internet stuff though we didn't try it for streaming. We had several OTA channels though the NBC station we watched was a weak signal, pixelated and audio issues. Some other channels were better. All-in-all this was a nice campground, with friendly, accommodating staff. We would stay here again if we find ourselves in the area (it's very convenient to Spartanburg).
