We rented a Deluxe cabin for three nights my partner myself and our dog. Upon our arrival we noticed many different things wrong. The first thing , was the floors hadn’t been cleaned , there was pet hair everywhere (some in the bathtub as well)and if you walked bare feet, your feet would be black. We bought a mop the next day and some cleaner and cleaned the floor, next thing was the water. They had a sign posted above the sink for how to run the water to make it hot, which it worked fine in the kitchen area but for the bathtub/shower , even with following the instructions, it didn’t /never worked for us . So we were unable to have a shower in the cabin for the whole three days that we were there. I did call and speak to someone at the KOA campground , they had sent their maintenance guy out to fix our propane which was just turning up of the propane itself to make it work. (I had called the afternoon of the 2nd day to get help with it and was told it was after hours so there was. Nothing they could do ) We were told he would be back to fix or show us how to work the hot water, I did text them and let them know that we were there and they could send him over anytime which they never did The blinds were bent up or broken. The bathroom door lock is completely broken/really loose. The front door door handle is super loose. The queen room with the queen mattress was disgusting ! If they were going to keep something like that in the cabin they should’ve had some kind of a mattress cover or something so customers wouldn’t see that I would be embarrassed if that was my place of business. We paid almost $500 for three nights, we should absolutely be compensated for at least half of that considering we wasted $80 in food because we were unable to get the propane to work and we had no access in our cabin to hot water. I will be posting pictures of our stay. I have stayed at many KOA’s and this was by far the worst one. Very disappointed won’t be coming back and won’t be recommending .

*Update I just received a response from the KOA Campground in Spokane, they said they contacted me multiple times, which was a lie, I reached out to them and they responded through a text only one time. The very first time I called I spoke to somebody in Utah who told me she would email the current KOA where I was staying and make them aware of everything wrong with the cabin, I never heard back so I called the lady again and she said “oh you’re the girl I talk to earlier I did send them an email , I still never heard anything back from anyone. The next day I called it was after hours and spoke to a lady who said she would make a note of it and have the maintenance guy come over the next day to look at the propane which she did. I wasn’t home when he showed up so I got a text saying he stopped by and to Let them know when I would be there so the maintenance guy could come back over and show me how to work the hot water in the bathroom, which I did. Again no response from anyone. I reached out multiple times not them I did. They never did fix the hot water or send anyone over like they said they would. They are giving me a refund for one night. (Still waiting on that as I checked my acct and nothing is pending from them as of yet ) As far as being unaware if the cabin was clean or not should be something someone should double check prior to renting it. I do not recommend this place.

*As of 08/31/2024 we still haven’t been refunded like they stated on here that we would , I have even Emailed them with NO response.

Newest Update 09/06 : As of today we still have yet to get refunded for 1 of the Three days that we stayed there As they stated they would do so. Email sent to them regarding the refund no response. They have not reached out in anyway to...

The management will not respond if you have a problem. In fact they will BLOCK YOUR PHONE SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO RESPOND TO YOU. We chose this KOA specifically to do our laundry at a campground on our way that had their laundry facilities open. When we checked in, I bought a roll of quarters and was never told that the dryer would burn my clothes. I did my laundry and checked on the dryers frequently because there was a sign that stated the dryers were hot. The first dryer was set at medium and burned my dryer sheet without drying my clothes completely. The third dryer was set at hot and burned the 12 bath towels that I had loaded in it. Most of my clothes in the second dryer had to be rewashed at another campground location. The office was closed after we did the laundry, so we waited until morning to notify them of our problem. The manager was not there, and the assistant told me it was my fault for using the dryer because it was posted that you shouldn't use the hot setting. I went back to the laundry room to see if I had misunderstood the sign, but what she said was incorrect. We returned to the office and asked to speak to the manager. She took my number and said he would call us when he came in at noon. I called him at 12:10 p.m., and he had BLOCKED MY PHONE NUMBER! I called repeatedly, and my phone and my husband's phone were both blocked. I contacted our credit card company, and they informed me that I was charged for a second day which we never authorized, nor were we on the premises after checkout time the first day. All I have tried to do is discuss the matter. We spent $9.75 at their laundry, had to buy several new bath towels because the burned ones were ruined. I tried washing them, but the burn would not was out, so they had to be thrown out. It just seemed to me that the management should know that they have an issue with their dryers, and they should help us out in some way, not charge us for an extra day we never used nor asked for. They did refund the extra day, on their own, but we have camped for 29 years and spent many nights at KOAs across the country. NEVER, have we been treated so poorly! This situation escalated to a ridiculous problem that I would have been happy to discuss and solve the first day. It is now thirteen days later and I am still waiting for a call. I called the main KOA offices the first day, and they assured me that they would email the Spokane Valley KOA location and ask the manager to call me, but I have never yet been contacted. In an effort to be fair, the location is very pretty, and has a very nice camp store and dog park. It is located beside a train track 50 yards away and near a main intersection, and my husband got very little sleep. Between being tired and looking for a laundromat, we had a very aggravating day after leaving...

UPDATE: So after reading the response from KOA stating they hadn’t charged me I had to make the call to get to the bottom of things. Upon calling the gentleman on the phone said he was just about to call me, and that he now sees that I have been charged. He refunded me the cost of the upgraded site, apologized, and I can confirm the refund went through. I still had to call and do the leg work, point out my charges, but I am glad it is settled. The KOA was exactly what we wanted for camping, and now that this is settled I can recommend the place for its amenities. I still can not attest to responsiveness, but they did stand by their word and refund me.

I arrive at 630 pm after driving seven hours with newborn and dog in the car. This usually is not an issue, you just pick up your packet at the office and head to your site. This time there was not packet, again not a problem, you should just be able to call the staff on site or text the number they give you available until 9pm. Except after several attempts to call and a few texts, no response. So now I have a crying kid, hungry dog, hungry myself, and I need to hook up so I can start getting people fed and get to sleep. I know I have a pull through site, check the remaining reservations, and pick an empty pull through and hook up. After getting everything going I call to leave a message to let them know where I am in the KOA. This gentleman Alex finally picks up, seems friendly enough. Says I can stay where I am, makes sense because I am there for just one more day. No sense in unhooking and setting up again when I am not even spending time there the next day either, just needed a camping spot to travel into Spokane. No talk of extra charges yet, just "okay, enjoy your stay". Next day around mid day I receive a call that is checking from the calls we placed yesterday, at the end the lady says we are going to have to charge you extra cause your in a premium spot. This premium spot differs from a regular spot by adding a swinging bench.... I communicated that this seems like bad practice because I was not taken care of yesterday and had spoke with someone that said I am good where I am. She said she will hold off charging me, but I should speak with the office when I get back. Again I was gone for the rest of the day, so the responsibility of setting it straight somehow falls on me. Any who, saw some employees a few time never bringing anything up or even acknowledging me. Left today and they charged me for forgetting to have a site for me and choosing a pull through with a bench. That's bad practice and certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. Do right by the customer, especially if you make a mistake. Own it. Not even a discount...

Depends what you’re looking for. This KOA is very clean and well-organized from the short 7 hr overnight stay I had. Other reviews say that “there’s plenty for kids to do,” which I don’t doubt. There are showers, and the lawns are kept trim and green. The problem for me is the location and the overall campsite plotting. Just on the other side of a thick fence I could hear a (not distant) train tooting its horn late into the evening and early in the morning. And my tent site had a forever-humming electric sounding tower. The sites are all crammed together, with sometimes only a young tree between them, and supposedly you can get WIFI (and cell service for me to write this). Hardly an “outdoor” experience. It would be better if it were just a little less like a quaint suburb where it is acceptable to live out of your trailer and in the woods somewhere more remote. But again, it depends what you’re looking for. Lastly, and somewhat peripherally, they apparently made an effort to start recycling, but didn’t think far ahead enough to enable guests to place larger recyclables through the tiny holes in the wall (see picture). People seem to be enjoying their stay, but I won’t be back unless I am desperate. Thank you for the night nevertheless.

We pulled in and the front entry area is the only weeded and kept area in the park. We have a huge pile of mushrooms growing at our site along with NUMEROUS weeds. We had to sweep our own concrete pad, it was filthy. Cigarette butts lingering trash. There are also pockets of long term rentals(live in’s ) and an old permanent run down double wide near the entry way. We paid premium dollars for a run down jam packed (rv slots lined up like cord wood) place. The good thing is they are renovating the pool and front facilities(too bad they chose peak season to do so, no pool now) but a little bit of fertilizer and round up and upkeep wouldn’t hurt. The front staff said, “ no excuses” at least. She was nice to talk to. Apparently ownership does have their eyes on this place to fix. A company staffer just arrived up from Utah offered us a small discount. Up from 1 to 2 stars because of that small gesture. (Update, they did come dig out the mushrooms).
