They make you check in and out like you are a child! Thanks to all the people who live there and get social services called to a camper at a campground because you put Indian acres lot 67 glen 4 as your address ! Crazy that’s why we sold our lot if you want to have a cookout and invite your friends they better not have already visited 15 times that year because if they did they won’t be allowed in. Crazy you pay ridiculous for a camper and lot you pay $1400 a year in dues whether you stay there during the year or not and your not allowed to bring your family to a lot you own but 15 times a year! Yeah no I think I’ll take my money elsewhere ! If I own something there should be be someone else who has nothing to do with what I own telling me when and who I can bring and for how long I can stay! I got a fine for leaving the light on on my porch during the day I guess my $1400 a year isn’t enough money to cover that light bill. That’s why I have people breaking into my camper because I’m not allowed to leave the light on so they know for sure no one is there. I had to cut my vacation short and drive 6 hours from South Carolina back to Indian acres to turn off a light, they said if I didn’t I would be banned from my own property!! And in addition to the $1400 dues you pay yearly whether your there or not you have to pay a water bill whether your there to use it or not I haven’t used any water in 2 years I had past due bill of like $80 they said they were cutting off the water I had to pay $250 cutoff fee and $250 fee to get it back! Indian acres a wonderful place to buy a camper and lot you better...

This camping site use to be the most beautiful place to come and relax while living in Virginia.Every years we use to pay our annual fees in cash in full and getting a receip.Mrs Cushman was the property manager of the site and Indian acres had their own security paid by us toward our dues. But at the office the employees working there had no background ckeck and where taking money from our deposit.we where the owner of Glen 13 Lot 285 for over 20 some years. One year we where sued for not paying our dues we had the receip and found an employee by Mrs Sullivan was taking money from our account because we where paying with cash. Indian acres of Thornburg today is not the place to invest to go on vacation,no one no one from the management office do anything or just barely to come to visit or offer the campers of resulting on many complains in regard of their site.Am retired and was in the United State for 25 year and out of miserable camping area which we call Indian acres of Thornburg.Think very hard and twice before you make any investment because they do not care they just want your money.See all the reviews and those making good remark belong to a small team who are freindly with the administration the others are people like me who got scew up and where smart enough to live that place.Their other site who are better well control and care for the owners I do belong to another one out...

My family and I love the Acres. Great time with friends and family. Is Indian Acres perfect, of course not. Are there abandoned campers, absolutely. Are there some ugly lots, of course. Think about what it would take to make your neighbor at home to clean up their yard and get rid of junk cars. It is very difficult. The lots at Indian Acres are all privately owned. A lot of the owners of abandoned lots are deceased. Kinda hard to get a hold of them lol. Over the last several years that I have been there, a lot of cleanup has been going on. Can security be a pain, absolutely. They do the best they can with what they are told. Better management and organization of security is whats needed. Overall, very nice campground, a lot of good folks that are always willing to help one another. We have met a lot of good people here that have become, what I call FRAMILY. Don't pay attention to some peoples facebook drama. Come in do your thing, and enjoy your time. If you need something just ask, someone is always...

This place is a hidden gem tucked in the outskirts of Thornburg. It is a private campground. But stay with me on this. You can OWN a (deeded) lot here for $1550 which includes electric! Water is $10 a month. You can park an RV, trailer, or park model here. There are a number of lakes here too. But the $1550 also includes swimming pools, basketball / tennis courts, nature trails, 9 hole golf course, putt putt, shooting range, etc. These are ALL included. And the people and staff are great. I can go on forever, but just come to the open house(s) and see it for yourself. You will not find a private campground anywhere for this low of a price.

We have been owners here for 7 or 8 years now. I call my hideaway "The Halfway Inn", as it is pretty close to halfway between NH (where all my family is) and Florida where we live. I can go all week and barely see anyone or take advantage of all the great amenities by the clubhouse. It's 15 minutes to the historic towns of Fredericksburg and Richmond, 11/2 hours to Colonial Williamsburg, and about an hour to Washington DC. There are many lots available for sale in all kinds of price ranges and locations within the 800 acres of Indian Acres.

Why rent, when you can own?!?!? Best decision EVER to go with a permanent campsite. Deeded property, fun activities every weekend, golf cart parades, DJ’s, live bands, restaurant, camp store, private club 4th of July fireworks, haunted trail, and trunk or treat for the kids. And most importantly, “FRAMILY”. Camping friends, who become like family! Open year round, 210 night limit annually. More amenities than you can count. (You cannot live here) This is a Camping Club ❤️
