We were most disappointed to find out when we arrived on our site, all they had were 20 amps. By the 20/30 amps written in Trailer Life, one would think both would be on the posts. The branches were so low, we had to actually break off some branches before getting into a spot after trying to get into several. I do realize they had just opened, but they should have been ready for campers by the first day. At least, if all the sites aren't ready, direct us to the ones that are!! The site was not even close to being level. It seems like the owner wants what comes in and does nothing to make the place a decent place to stay. We only wanted to stay one night, but it doesn't matter if we want one or ten nights, it should be decent. The manager was courteous and tried to be helpful, but it was getting dark, and not a lot could be done. We had looked for other campgrounds earlier, but never could find any, so we arrived later than usual after traffic in DC/Baltimore!! It might be good for tents, but leaves a lot to be desired for RVs. After 16 years of full time RVing, this is the first time I've ever written a review, and this is because this is the first time I would give a place less than 1...
Read moreI love this campground. Ryan and Dave are wonderful - even my dog loves them and she hates everyone. It’s quiet. No loud parties or music. I feel very safe when I’m camping here. Ryan and Dave know every single camper here - and their cars. No one gets in here without them knowing who they are.
There is a lot of wildlife - especially down by the creek. I’ve seen foxes and blue herons and hummingbirds and tons of deer.
They keep the camp sites in great condition and are putting in a few more tent sites that overlook the creek. Very dog friendly too plus it is extremely close to the rail trail - there is a trail that takes you right to it. There is a small camp store that is surprisingly well stocked for its size and they sell firewood and will deliver it to your site. The bathrooms are spotless. They get cleaned regularly. It’s a very family friendly place.
They also helped me with my RV - Dave helped me repair my slide and replaced the toilet in my camper for me. Dave can fix pretty much anything. Lol.
Oh and they will back your camper in for you so don’t worry that the sites are not pull through....
Read moreStayed here 2 nights to visit with family close by. Very small campground and not the place to bring kids if you are used to a "resort campground" with activities, playground and pool, because this campground has none of these. Just shaded sites along one side of the loop with full hook ups but with only 20 amp service. The big plus is that you can access the York Heritage rail trail directly from the campground. It was the quietest campground we ever stayed at. Unfortunately the fire pits are across the gravel road from the RV sites in the grass area which is strange and not convenient (there is a horseshoe pit and tether ball). All back in sites and some are narrower than others. Although there were some class A's in the sites, fifth wheels would have a hard time there due to low hanging branches. Women's bathhouse had only one shower working and the kind you have to keep pressing the button every 10 seconds to keep water flowing (but free). Surprisingly their wifi was very good and free as well. We will be back because we love to bike and you can't beat having access to the rail trail right from...
