I really like the motel for the price! This motel is one of those drive up motels so you get a parking spot right near the room and there’s plenty of parking. The front desk lady is friendly and helpful. But be aware that they will take your card number even if you book on a third party site. It was a convenient check in that’s done virtually. The receptionist sends you a link. You upload your info, I’d, and card number on your phone. She replies with your room code. So you don’t have to worry about physically checking. It’s so much more convenient that way. I love that I can also text the front desk questions. The room appeared to be clean and had no pests or smells. It was small but not uncomfortably so. It was a reasonable rate. It had a fridge, microwave, desk, 2 chairs, and a tv. The tv was a smart tv that you can stream on instead of the fossils at other motels. The fridge/freezer worked well enough but the freezer wasn’t cold enough to freeze my smoothie. The bed was pretty firm but bearable. The bathroom was clean and stocked. There was an ac in the unit. The temp was comfortable despite it being the summer. There were several outlets. There was no mirror in the room but there is one over the bathroom sink. The rooms have doors adjoined to the neighboring guest’s rooms. These were closed the entire time and I assumed they are locked. The walls are thin and we could hear the tv of the guests next to us. I felt safe outside the property. There were no sketchy people around the hotel or anyone causing trouble. They even have a little patch of grass behind the motel you can walk on with a picnic table. There aren’t any stores/businesses in walking distance so it’s very quiet. The only downside is they said they have complimentary water, coffee, and snacks. There are no snacks. They do have free water and coffee in the lobby. But the coffee (or maybe the powdered creamer?) was gross and we couldn’t drink it. So I suggest not using creamer. I’d suggest they add snacks or a light continental breakfast like prepackaged bagels, muffins, pastries, and rolls since there are no businesses in walking distance. If they add a continental breakfast and a shelf stable liquid creamer then the motel would be perfect. It was still a good place for the price though.

Google won't give me enough stars to properly review this ABSOLUTE GEM! My husband and I are HS truck drivers. We've stayed in many hotels, ranging from IHG, HH, to the non-big chain hotel/ motel. We didn't arrive until almost 10pm. Immediately..comfort, secure, peace of mind.. this place is perfectly located off the beaten path, clean from the outside & has a unique entry process to each room. Super convenient, as our boss called ahead & had the air turned on, got our room #, location & we didn't have to hassle with going to the office for check-in. The hotel is set-up with self check-in and check-out!! LOVE IT!! Parking was great, as we have a 45' Flatbed trailer on our truck- so we're about 53' long. Came in the room to the cleanest, most quaint, adorable, "homey" little room EVER!! The manager/ owner had even left a couple of waters & chips out on the table in our room for us *awe :-) The bed was incredibly comfortable! There little pleasantries about this place that just made it perfect. The slightly larger fridge/freezer combo, remote for the ac, the keyless secured entry... there's even REAL shower curtains!! Not like at the chain hotels, where they leak water through to all over the floors. The blackout curtains were great combined with the way the front awning of the building & how the hotels is situated.. it allows minimal light at any entry point, allowing the curtains to really do their job. Speaking of job..housekeeping is THE SWEETEST EVER!! I got to meet her & she is one of a few.. but she does a wonderful job tending to the rooms! A clean room makes all the difference! I was fortunate enough to speak with the manager.. she's simply wonderful as well! Everyone & everything was so unbelievably pleasant from start to finish! I pray they are blessed & continue this wonderful business they have! And I pray my husband and I find our way back to this hidden gem!! **small disclosure.. all the wonderful reviews are so accurate! I'm a HUGE reviews person!! I hope this helps someone find & decide to make this their stop, too!!

I made a reservation through Expedia for the Hilltop Motel with the benefit of a no charge cancelation within 48 hours. Unfortunately, I had to cancel. I tried to cancel through Expedia and they made it very difficult, so I decided to call the Hilltop Motel directly. Well let me tell you that the lady who answered the phone at the front desk was wonderful. She was very friendly and was of great help. She said she wasn't sure if she could do the cancelation since I had made the reservation through Expedia, but she said she would try on her end. She went on her computer, looked up my reservation, and managed to cancel and I received the cancelation confirmation instantly. I am rescheduling my trip for the fall and I will definitely book a room at the Hilltop Motel. I hope to meet this wonderful lady who helped me out. Great service and thank you! An update: I was able to reschedule my trip and had a chance to stay at the Hilltop Motel. I had an excellent stay here. The rooms are clean, comfortable and peaceful. The lady who operates the hotel is excellent. She cares about the guests, is very friendly, and she keeps everything well maintained. This place is a great value for the money.

Prior to arrival I received a code for the electronic lock on the door to my room. We arrived after 4:30 and tried to get into the room but had some trouble. We entered the motel office to seek help but there was no one to be found. There were instructions to ring a bell (we did) make a video call through the tablet that was set up, (we did) text (I did) or call., which I did not. I did receive a text back providing assistance. Soon thereafter assistance arrived, and the lock entry code was reprogrammed, and we were able to enter our room.||The room is a typical motel style with no frills. There was a good-sized refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a microwave, a table, a bed, a chair, and a desk. The bathroom is very small with no counter space to even put a small toiletry bag. |I was really turned off when I found a glue trap behind the tv stand. Glue traps are inhumane. If a rodent is trapped, why would I want to listen to it cry out in distress? Also, it would be an inconvenience to have to call to have it removed if a critter was trapped because I would not be removing it myself.||We were there for one night, it served its purpose, and the price was...
