We just got back from a week snowmobiling at Beaver Creek and it was amazing!. It has been years since we have done snowmobiling so we wanted a place that everything was included and we didn't have to worry about the proper gear and making purchases we would never use again since we are from Florida. We also wanted a place where we did not have to drive around much since we were worried about road conditions. Beaver Creek had it all and we did a guide for the 1st day to make sure we were comfortable and got paired up with Kyle and enjoyed him so much that we asked for him for 3 more days. Kyle made us feel very comfortable on the snowmobiles and assessed our skill level and took us on trails that matched that level. Every day he would tell us what we he was thinking, how difficult the trail was and what we would see. Without the guide we would not have seen as much as we did even though there are miles and miles of groomed trails that we could easily have done on our own. We did get stuck or turn the snowmobile on its side many times and Kyle always had a smile on his face as he helped us out. We also enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him. Every guide we had an interaction with was very nice and helpful and everyone asked us if there was anything they could do to make our experience better.||Savanah, in the main office, could not have been more helpful in helping us plan the trip, answer all our novice questions and adjust our trip details as we learned more.||The setting is spectacular and you park your snowmobiles right in front of your room. Beaver Creek is a snowmobilers delight. The gear given us to borrow kept us very warm and comfortable and we did 5 8 plus hour days on the snowmobiles.||The rooms are very comfortable and we were amazed at how much hot water there was. Even when the Lodge was full there was plenty of hot water when you got back from a full day of snowmobiling. We liked the microwave in every room that helped with a hot cup of cocoa in the evening.||We chose to do the meals at the Lodge and Sean and Shelly did a great job. There was plenty of food and lots of variety and it was always hot and very good. We enjoyed listening to the other groups around us talk about their day and what they did and saw. ||We had so much fun that we are already planning our return for next year. Thank you Beaver Creek Lodge for...
Read moreWe booked our trip late September and opted in for the getaway package, renting two sleds and spent a full day snowmobiling. Melissa in the office answered all of my questions before booking and while getting checked in, she was great to work with.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Bryan, with a warm handshake and some great excitement. He asked if we had been before or if this was our first time. We shared with him it was our first time and he kindly suggested signing up for a guide. Normally I personally don't go this route but in this case, it was one of the best choices we made, in addition to renting sleds with them.
They made sure we were adequately dressed to stay warm, which we were grateful for. Once we were suited up, we were given very clear and easy instructions on how to operate the sleds. They were brand new and still being broken in, they certainly didn't disappoint.
After the instruction, we were introduced to Corbin. Oh Man Corbin! Right out of the gate, he was personable, kind, entertaining, HELPFUL and encouraging. We were in a small group (5 including him) and we had a lot of fun. The other couple was from Kentucky and delightful to chat with, great people! While out and about, Corbin made sure we were informed every step of the way. Not only did he guide us when appropriate but gave us room/time to play in different areas.
As you can see from out pictures, we were blessed to see some back country that most other people didn't/won't get to see unless you're super experienced or have a guide who knows where to go.
Overall, our experience was amazing and we will be back. The beauty of nature in 3 ft of snow and having someone to show you that was just breath-taking and immaculate.
As a Google Local Guide, I would highly recommend this place. If you want to add to your personal experience, make sure you meet Gerald and Vivian, their food was amazing and their personalities/service was that of a 5 star rating.
If you felt the same way but don't want to write a review, give this a thumbs up!

Read moreI can't speak for how an actual stay at Beaver Creek Lodge rates (though the building is nice enough, I did saw inside a few rooms, which were furnished with utilitarian bunk beds, a table and chair, but clean and well-lit), but their horseback trail rides are outstanding. My only regret was booking a 90 min ride instead of the three hour version. Unlike many horseback rides in which a line of horses shamble over a flat route, nose to tail, and their riders could literally drop the reins and fall asleep without affecting anything, the riding at Beaver Creek requires a little bit of horsemanship. A guide is always there to to direct the route and help as needed, of course, but riders must keep an eye out for branches, speed up to close gaps, push the horses through the creek, keep the saddle on steep inclines and as their horses step over logs and small rocks, and weave through boulders and bushes. There are spots where the trail splits then comes back together, and potential wrong turns that lead to other parts of trails the horses might walk on a different days, so again, riders need to be comfortable bringing their horses to a halt, spurring them to a light canter, or turning them hard in either direction to reform the line. It's not demanding for anyone reasonably familiar with riding horses, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for someone's first time in the saddle--seriously. The other people my party were grouped with had a couple kids and a couple adults who had never ridden, and they where NOT comfortable at times, like going up steep parts of the trail, or when their horses would miss a step on rock and stumble a little. I don't want to discourage people from riding at Beaver Creek, especially because in addition to a fun ride, the views were amazing. But if you've never been on a horse, book a short ride somewhere less demanding first, the book Beaver Creek. That's all the experience necessary to enjoy oneself, but conversely, even experienced riders will have a good time. Hands down the best trail ride I've...
