The gentleman who lives on site that cares for the grounds was very polite and helpful, but that is where the positives of our stay ended. Camp sites are in very close proximity to one another, and on multiple occasions we had to tend with other "campers" just mozying on through our camp site. The 10pm "quiet time" rule is not at all enforced, and our two night stay was made miserable by other very inconsiderate guests playing radios and causing a ruckus well into late night/early morning hours. To add to the frustration, the on site grounds keeper rides his ATV throughout the site near constantly adding to the noise level and shining headlights through your site. The camping area is also close enough to highway 66 for construction and vehicle noise to be disturbing and very much detracts from the camping experience. There is also a dog that wonders the grounds and invites himself into your tent and makes himself right at home on your site. Which can be disturbing when you have a toddler and a dog of your own with you. Tending with an animal you don't know adds a level of stress not desired during what's supposed to be a relaxing experience. To end on a positive, the camp ground is extremely close to Clark Creek, and the ride back after an exhausting hike is short. Too bad we couldn't get much rest. Never been more happy to get out of the woods than leaving this camp ground. If a genuine camping experience is what you're looking for, keep looking. 1 star for convenience to great sites and hiking, and 1 star for the general friendliness of the grounds keeper.
Edited to add: their website states $20 a night. I was charged 27...
Read moreThis place is absolutely beautiful! We come back again and again; we have stayed in the cabins, electric, and non electric sites and have had an amazing time no matter where we stayed. I have not found a more beautiful campground with its sloping ravines, many tall deciduous trees, wildlife surrounding you (the owls like to hoot at night and a plethora of birds to great you in the mornings which we love and if you stay at the A frame inside the camping area you get to watch a family of chipmunks go about their day!) and the trails close by. Ms. Brenda is amazing, if you want to know anything about this beautiful area she is full of knowledge about the land. Always super helpful and friendly, always around the grounds busy making sure everyone has everything they need. She’s an absolute gem, we just love her! If you are looking for a peaceful stay surrounded by nature in a beautiful campground this is the...

Me and two friends stayed here for the weekend. We chose this place since it was close to Clark creek natural area. It was a straight shot, 15 minute drive.
Brenda and staff were very responsive to any questions we had, and really made sure we were comfortable.
When we arrived at our two bedroom cabin, everything was clean and in place, ready for us.
The two bedroom cabin had a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer which was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot.
There was a bbq pit on site that we used, and also a fire pit. The A frame cabin is next to the 2 bedroom cabin if you’re trying to book both with friends.
If you’re looking to be close to the Clark creek natural area, or just looking for a quiet retreat I would absolutely recommend...
