I bounced around between 4 and 5 stars. There was a few things that I thought could be 4 star but the all the employees were awesome to deal with and my family and I had a blast. We tent called at site 69 Sustains: All the employees I talked to were very nice and helpful. I love the customer service. Great having the fishing lakes. We caught a lot of Bass. They are small fish but super fun to catch a bunch of them. We only fished the small lake. By far CLEANEST bathrooms on any private owned campground I ever been to. I was super impressed by how clean the bathrooms are. 2 river access points for swimming and fishing. All the busses and vans used for the floats were in good condition and clean. They let you sign your name on the ceiling of the busses which was a fun little extra. Y the rafts were in really great shape as well. My kids loved playing on the little playground. They made a couple other friends there. Improves: The prices for floats and food. The float was $50 more than where I usually go. The cost of the pizza and ice cream is really high. I understand small business and convenience but it is still very pricy. We carried all our stuff up to the front for the float to only find out we had to drive down to the river to be picked up. The busses are all staged by the front. So we had to carry our stuff back to the campsite then drove down to the river to be picked up to drive past our campsite. I wish they would've explained where to go for the float before going up there. No discounts for veterans. I never expect a discount but this is the first campground I stayed at that doesn't give veterans a discount. I wanted to do the paddle boat for a few hours on Sunday before we left. They don't do half day paddle boats anymore and I would've had to buy day passes and a full day paddle boat pass. I wish they would've just let us stay for a couple hours to paddle boat without having to pay the day pass. Conclusion: My whole family had a blast and the kids have said multiple times since we left that they want to go back and make it our normal camping trip.

We spent 3 nights at Lucky Clover last weekend and had a good experience overall. Saturday we toured Fisher and Onondaga caves and Sunday we did a 5 mile float on kayaks rented from Lucky Clover. Sunday was a great day for a float as there were very few people on the river - most of the trip we had the river to ourselves. The campground staff is very friendly and the floating staff were great as well. We were in RV1 which wasn't as level as some of the spots further down the line but we made it work. There is a dump station on site. The campground is very clean and kept up well. The river isn't visible or as close to the campground as I thought, but the view of the lake from each campground is nice. The men's bath house is pretty compact and was clean. The showers were rustic concrete stalls with a shower curtain, 1 hook, and no chairs, benches or anywhere else to sit for changing purposes (there really isn't room for that). One of the 3 shower stalls had a one very high shelf (I used that one). Showers cost 0.50 cents for not sure how much time (I ran out of time on my 2nd shower and had to feed the meter again). The office has a small store with some camping essentials and was a life saver when I realized I didn't bring mustard for the hotdogs. A bag of firewood was $10. I'd certainly come back to stay at Luck Clover and float the Meramec River.

Really nice place to stay! Mostly quiet and beautiful. No trash anywhere and the lakes are stocked well. The people are extremely kind and friendly. The campsite is also located in a good spot by Zahorsky woods and main street. There is a few reasons why this isnt five stars for me. The fishing gets crowded. We stayed for 5 nights and throughout that time people fishing would stand on peoples campsites while campers were trying to enjoy their time. The trails listed on their map arent really trails, just small walking paths, basically the same as walking to and from the bathroom for us. We are big on National Forest camping and used to having trees to put up tarps and hammocks, that wasn't really an option here as the only trees standing were along a ditch. In the womens showers only one of three showers worked, I notified them of this but the rest of our stay they did not put a sign up on the second shower that did not work. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying to anyone looking for that kind of scene. I think we will stay at a national forest/park next time though.

We've been camping here for probably fifteen years or so and have always loved it. It's quiet, not commercial, family friendly, and the employees were great. Needless to say we were a bit concerned after we heard the place sold, and this was our first trip with the new owners.

We were happy to find that the new owners were all fantastic. They were nice as could be, prompt with anything we asked, and just generally super friendly. There are a few things that need fixing/updating, keeping it from 5*, but I'm guessing they are already working on them.

We stayed in spots 7-10. They've recently added rock to these sites that used to be all grass. The problem being they added rocks, not gravel that can be leveled. Every one of us had a rather difficult time getting our campers level, which wasn't an issue on the grass. I'm hopeful this will be fixed soon, as we looked at spots further down and they looked like they had much bigger gravel spots for the campers, and even looked like they might have leveled them somewhat. This would make a huge difference.

The only other issue was the bathrooms. They are fine for campground camping, not expecting the four seasons or anything. But, the sink backed up every night to the point you couldn't even put your hands in to wash. They also lack any ventilation, so they feel twenty degrees hotter than outside, and steam up any time water is turned on.

Aside from those two things, the kids had a great time as usual. The playground isn't much, but the kids are still there every evening having a blast. The lake makes for great views. The float is a fun, relaxing float. And the people running the place...
