My wife, Kim and I recently purchased a travel Trailer and wanted to try it out close to home. Now we are spoiled!!! Pheasant Acres is one of the best places I’ve ever been camping. We both agreed —we will be back quite often for some little getaways here and there. We could not get over how quiet and peaceful the park was. We’re bringing our friends back in October. Sherry is a delight, we were close to her house near the front and ‘Bunnyville’., it was quiet. We enjoyed the campers who walked past our site and chatted with some great people. Sherry was so cheerful and accommodating. My wife just loves her! We found all the amenities, including the trees, grass, woods, and Flash! —- even the bathrooms are well taken care of. Sherry welcomed our dogs and my wife loved her bunnies. We will be delighted to return. Kim says there’s such a feeling of welcoming and belonging there. True. I especially liked that we can cancel our Reservation without consequences- but I ask you — who would ever want to miss a stay at Pheasant Acres? That said, Sherry understands if something happens. Thank you so much, Sherry. We feel like we have found a true gem. Oh, Kim says – make sure you take a walk on Sherry’s paths in the woods – there’s little surprises around...
Read moreGreat little campground. You bring Hwy 8 to the camp so very easy to navigate and the road in the campground is good. Sherry the owner is fantastic, super friendly and knows all the local ins and outs and a great deal about Route 66, which is what brought us here. The campground is well maintained, a mix of seasonal and over-nighters. It is very quiet with no road noise. The sites are gravel with some grass, very level and include a picnic table with a solar light on it, and a fire pit. Ours was a back in with full hook ups and 50 amp. We had to push our tow dolly off to the side and we had just enough room to park our car after backing our 37-foot RV in. There is plenty of shade which we like. Water pressure was good. WiFi was good, but didn't always work, our Verizon hotspot was strong. There are trails in the woods that take you to the Conservation Area next to the campground, great for hiking and walking the dog. Bathrooms and showers were clean, no laundry facilities. Route 66 and all it has to offer is close by. We stayed the last week of August 2016 and paid the weekly rate of $140/...
