It had been a year ago when I first found this gem. On my first trip here I got a huge burrito and it was phenomenal (and I mean slap your momma good). I wanted to come back sooner but just didn't have the chance. Folks I returned just after Christmas but before New Year's on a trip I like to call "me time". I use to ride my motorcycle down Rail Road Bed road all the time when I was a young buck (no wife & no kids) and check out the fishing holes throughout the creek that travels along side of the road. When I got to the taco shack & campground I use to know , something strange had happened. The little place I remember had grown into a huge raised off the ground, super nice, and brand new building. I checked to see if it was open and sure enough they welcomed me in and began to feed me and rehydrate me and said enjoy your stay we got the ball game on (nice, large, and smart flat screen) have a seat (real nice leather couch in front of the HDTV) we'll have your food out in a jiffy and feel free to look around. Besides my two handmade 50/50 beef & chicken burritos I bought a really good quality tye dye t-shirt for my son. I had a couple ice cold lagers and talked to some of the patrons. Everyone seemed like they were family and couldn't have been more friendlier. I will go back soon to hear the live band and this summer I am going to take my son & wife down to this diamond in the rough to do some camping...
Read moreWe’ve been floating this area for several years and have always loved the kayaking, food and staff, not this year. We had 14 people kayaking with our own kayaks and were charged $20 a head that basically covered us parking 4 vehicles on the property, no help with unloading or loading our kayaks. We’d be happy to pay for parking and services for a reasonable price, but not $70 per vehicle. We had planned to eat at the Taco Shack after a great float, but the non service had everyone wanting to spend their time and money elsewhere. We plan to come back to float again, but we’ll be shuttling ourselves, floating past the Taco Shack and parking at a...

This place needs a sign outside or a window for ordering otherwise not giving a business my money because it's legally discrimination. There is outside seating and they can enjoy their meal with the animal there, but this is an outdoors fun area how are you expecting no one to bring a dog. It's a local owned business and can do how they feel but I just won't...
