Really fun spot! We went as a guest. Huge slides into the water. Docks & diving boards. Bathrooms were kinda gross. People were lighting fire works off. There was a wedding happening. Golf carts riding everywhere. A lot was happening at once.

WARNING- non- members prepare to be met with intimidation from hostile and threatening manager “Tracy.” My boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice afternoon lunch while visiting in the area- chowder, salad, martini, lava cake were all delicious. Unfortunately the nice afternoon ended abruptly when manager Tracy met me at my car telling me I had been “over-served”…after 2 martinis (a full meal as described and two glasses of water). I truly would have appreciated her intention of keeping the roads and myself safe, If I thought that was actually her objective. Instead, I believe she was reacting to to us as unwelcome visitors to the property and restaurant. The overwhelming sense of “othering” at this park was made extremely apparent: the members and the “non members.” The park is only for people with memberships (which to me is totally fine) but the way it was conveyed to us I found to be extremely intimidating, threatening, and unprofessional.

After lunch we went down to the water and dipped our feet in and were promptly redirected by a teenager who I’m guessing was staff, though she didn’t introduce herself as such, told us that the park was for members only. I thanked her for letting us know and headed back to our vehicles. All of the sudden Tracy showed up at my car window and told me I had been over served and she was writing down my license plate and going to report me to the police!! I couldn’t believe it. I have never been confronted like this in my life. I assured her while yes I had enjoyed 2 drinks at the restaurant, I also had a full meal, water and dessert over a 2 hour period of time… and was fully capable of driving. Tracy - if you were that concerned and convinced I was not able to drive a vehicle you should have never let me leave that parking lot. If you’re not sure someone is incapable of driving, find a less threatening way to approach them. Also, if CT PD want something better to do than to respond to reports that are completely spurious and unfounded- visit this establishment and observe how they ID (or don’t ID) their patrons when purchasing an alcoholic drink. Unbelievable. If someone cares so vehemently about preventing drunk driving, I would expect them to do their due diligence and actually ID individuals before sale of alcoholic drinks.

HORRIBLE experience at this business, have never experienced anything like this in all my years and would highly discourage anyone from visiting- plenty of other places in the area. Would appreciate if someone in management could address Tracy’s unprofessionalism and...

The camping looks fun but I have only tried their restaurant that is open to the public and not good. The waitress was pleasant and the food was expensive and just average. The real problem is cleanliness. Was given a dirty glass for my beer…like it hadn’t been washed. The restaurant overall needs a thorough cleaning. Outside deck where we ate was dirty with food crumbs and a pile of dirt from a plant was left under a table where people were seated. Looks like it had all been there for a long time. Window sill with junk on it, tipped over salt and pepper shakers. Total turnoff and I should have known better when there was plenty of outdoor seating at prime dinner time on a sunny day. I ate because I was hungry but couldn’t finish at the thought of what the kitchen looked like. Such a shame because the location has so...

Horrible owners. Specifically Tracy and Karen. Got banned off of the beach with my service dog, who is necessity for mobility. I enjoy being able to appreciate the freedom a service dog has made possible for me. By law they should not be sble to do this according to the AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT. Expections to every rule you should NEVER cuss at guests for the first words spoken. Strongly suggest going to a real family beach club because...
