Indian Creek Lodge — Hotel in Stanton

Pros: The house itself is beautiful & View is amazing Layout of the house was perfect. Had two of everything - fridge, stove, dishwasher, sink, hot tubs Bathroom in every room & Bunk beds in loft

Cons: Drive is 5.5miles (15 minutes) past the "address". The road is not safe - turns from two lanes, down to one lane, into a "go cart lane", and then into a half mile of gravel that is not wide enough for two cars. Many houses along the road are in very poor condition. Travelers should really be warned - take caution and the area is kind of sketchy. No firepit like pictured - no one told us this was taken out. Something we were really looking forward to and we should have been notified. We asked about it and were told the owners were changing the patio and the contractors hadn't been there in awhile. Stuff was just left out and the back patio was not useable. Block wall is not glued down! Very dangerous for children or drinking adults. Probably every 5th block is glued? Not safe overall. Not enough towels, toilet paper, or dishwasher soap if you're going to stay more than 2 nights. No garbage disposal in either sink No charcoal for the grill Little cell service around the cabin - need to rely on wifi.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at the cabin! Some things really need to be addressed though and new travelers should be warned about the distance/road, firepit and block wall. We did a lot of hiking, and it took at least an hour drive to get anywhere. A great large cabin for a group in the...
