Super 8 by Wyndham Staunton — Hotel in Staunton

When me and my daughter arrived we stood there waiting for someone to come out. Finally a lady that i assume was part of housekeeping said to pick up the phone and we could hear the phone right just right inside the back room along with the first desk lady. The following morning the lady at the desk called my daughter at work saying a smell of marijuana was coming from our room. When my daughter asked her what i had said to her the lady replied that there was no 1 in the room. Well another lie because i was asleep in the room. She then proceeded to yell at my daughter telling her that this was her first warning and if it happens again then they would charge me $150.00. About 2 hours later she decided to check our room and see if anyone was still there. I had the door locked which to me means do not disturb. Well next thing i know she knocked once and the unlocked the door and flipped on the bathroom light. At this point i had told her we didn't need anything and this is when she began yelling at me about the marijuana smell. I told her she was crazy. after a few mins of yelling at each other and her accusing me of something i hadn't done and wouldn't do especially since my daughter is pregnant and cant be around it she finally left in a huff and she took all of our towels and never replaced them. If the owner is reading this I really hope you don't rely on this woman to be your hospitality go to person because she sucks. I don't think sensitivity training would help this woman. No I will never stay here again and will tell everyone i know that lives around that area that the staff are all bullies. Horrible staff. Went through our stuff. Stole out of our suitcases and got mad when we went to the manager. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. I’m a platinum Wyndham member and will do everything in my power to inform cooperate.... honestly don’t have the words to describe how outrageous these people are. The owner Mrs. Patel is beyond ridiculous. The “managers” should not be employed by anyone. If they gave me a room I wouldn’t walk through the door.

Asked to fix our ac and heat.. they got mad.... Unbelievable... paid for a week and left after 2 nights. Found food in our beds that we didn’t have. Did not give us any credit at all for leaving early. Did not care that we are writing reviews.

Anyone who travels though this area should keep on traveling. There are nice hotels about 15 minutes away. I would rather sleep outside in one of the adjacent corn fields than ever walk back into this place.

I never write reviews. Even when it’s bad. This is honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I hope Wyndham looks into what’s going on...

I went to check water pressure in the bathroom sink and heard water under it. I looked and the P Trap had a hole that had rusted thru. Which also means the cleaning wasn't done right or they would have noticed it. Went to tell front desk. Lady was really nice about putting us in another room. The Tv was staying on for 5 mins then going off told front desk nothing was done. The timer was not on we checked before saying anything. Then we wake up at 330am and it was 75 in room. AC stopped working. Had to unplug it and plug back in before it would work. Was told the new ACs do that . No they don't. You shouldn't have to unplug then plug back in. Then found French fries on floor by bed (we had pizza) I feel we should have been partially compensated for that. Wasn't offered anything. Not fair in my opinion. Shouldn't have to pay the full price.
