We did a traditional campsite with tent. The sites include water and electricity. The staff and majority of people we interacted with were very pleasant and polite. Plenty of RV sites too. They also have pretty big cabins with full kitchens, bathroom, and bedding. Only thing you’ll need are your own linens. I highly suggest this campground whether you live in Illinois or are passing through.

If you’re looking for a family friendly campground then this is your place! Tons of activities for the kids, even during the week! The playground was great, the pool was big, the bathrooms/showers and laundry were all very clean, the staff was very friendly and super helpful. We always enjoy Yogi Bear Parks and this was another park that did not disappoint!

Good place to stay. Lots of activities for the kids. Everyone was super friendly. Quite at night. They escort you to your spot and help back you in, huge time saver as they get you in first try. You can tell they do it everyday. They rent golf carts. Carts are a bit pricey, but we enjoyed being able to putt around I'm between activities, kids loved it too.

This was our first visit to any Jellystone campground. It was my wife, 2 kids and I. We also had friends in the spot next to us. To say we were impressed and happy with our stay is an understatement. The staff was absolutely extraordinary and helpful in everyway possible. We checked in Friday about 2pm and left around 3pm on Sunday.

Tim and Joel escorted us to our site and helped get backed in, leveled and before I could tell them I had an extension for my power they were already on the way back to the office to grab a loaner. The sewer connection was to tight to get off so they went back to the office again to get tools to take it off for us. They were extremely helpful and very personable. I enjoyed our interaction with them greatly.

Friday night we went on the Hey, Hey, Hey ride. Allyson and I believe Tabitha were the young ladies helping with that ride. They made the ride enjoyable not just for the kids but for the adults as well. I have a feeling they will remember me yelling Hey, Hey, Hey in my best Yogi bear voice. Mathew was a great driver and got involved as much as he could and still stay focused on his task at hand. Although he still didn't deliver the pizza that someone else ordered to our camp site. (Just a joke in case he sees this post)

Saturday Tabatha helped us on the Wet n Wild Hey, Hey, Hey ride again. This was a blast. We had so much fun. The kids and adults as well. Brylee was the driver and did a great job with that. After we got off the ride we ran back to camp to prepare for the other rides to come by. Brylee made sure to slow down or stop so that we could soak everyone. Sorry Tabatha I'm sure you drank a bunch of the water that came aboard.

Saturday the kids took the barrel train ride with Ethan and Tabatha. Ethan was the driver and the kids couldn't stop talking about how much fun they made the ride for them.

After the train ride we did the water relay with Ethan and Tabatha. They made it a blast and everyone ended up soaked. Don't worry Ethan I won't forget that you poured that water on me when I wasn't looking. Payback will happen lol.

The front desk staff was great as well. My wife called to get some info about a place to buy a birthday cake and ask other questions. Sherry, Lisa, and Maribeth were great and offered helpful locations as well as answered any questions we had. I am looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to see what activities they have planned. There were so many planned that we didn't have time to get to many of them because we were in the...

Edit in response to owner:

You needed to post the closure on your website so those that specifically chose your location for the pool on a hot day would know it’s not available.

We were arriving early that day to use the pool for longer, also stating we had all those hours the next day is incorrect because we were checking out that day.

Good customer service is communication and understanding for your patrons.

Also is response to your response to my wife’s review, learn the word blackmail before stating that’s what she was threatening. Either way- run your business the way you choose……

Made reservations because they advertised a pool. Website did not specify that the pool was not available our day because it was rented out to a private party. Doesn’t seem right that they charge full price to those renting spots. Then charge someone wanting to reserve the pool specifically. You’d think they would discount the other quests for not being able to enjoy the pool they paid for too.

I did call and asked for a refund the day before we arrived. Per their policy, apparently, they couldn’t refund it because it was outside their cancellation window (granted no notice was given to us for removing an amenity most would like to enjoy during the heat of Aug), this I get BUT based on the fact that their website stated they had a pool, and said nothing about it being not being available should warrant a full refund. We chose this location because of the pool. Either way, the individuals answering the phone were seasonal stay/employees and said that they asked the owners for us and they said no refund. In place they offered a credit for a future stay.

We will never be through this area again, so a future stay is pointless. I get we cancelled inside the cancellation window BUT you were wrong in charging us full price for advertise amenities that were not available. Not good business.

If they provide a refund this review...

Campground is absolutely beautiful so much that we grabbed a rental spot two years in a row. The service however is awful and caused us to pull our camper out of there. The first year was just to get our foot in the door, our site was tiny and on a hill but we were able to get a better site the next season, or so we thought. The owners have pages of rules for the campground but only some need to follow them. When it came time for our seasonal spot to renew we decided not to after having issues of people parking at our spot , staff Letting other campers charge items at the camp store to our site so our debit card would be billed at the end of the weekend to our surprise. When we weren't camping the neighbors used our site and moved our picnic tables for their own use and that was just a few issues. The owners are still refusing to return our deposit even though We cleaned our site better than it was given to us but they are holding our deposit hostage because they found some items left( wood, concrete blocks) that were left by the campers before us and even though we submitted proof that the items were there before we moved onto the site and they are giving us the silent treatment and holding our money. We were warned that this is normal behavior for Jen and BJ but we were hopeful it wasn't going to be true because we had already signed a contract with them before we found this out. If your camping for the weekend you probably wont have as many issues as a seasonal spots but beware, Jen and BJ aren't nice people. I'll update if they decide to do the right thing and return out money since we sent proof to...
