I never post negative reviews, but travelers be warned: I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. You’d think it’s customary to clean a room before new arrivals, but that wasn’t the case. Clearly the cleaning job wasn’t too thorough if there was a full pack of fruit snacks spilled on the floor right next to the nightstand. I’ve seen hotels put chocolates on your pillow, but I’ve never seen gummies on the carpet before. Some other little gems about our stay: the sink was uncleaned with brown stains all over it. The door to the adjoining room was stuck open. We had no idea who was in the next room, and it’s not reassuring to spend the night next to strangers without the ability to fully close and lock the door. And finally, by some miracle, there were no bedbugs when I checked for them...but what I did see was someone’s scab under the duvet. It seems like they didn’t even bother to at least shake out the linens from the previous guest. With a prison nearby and an incompetent motel staff, we weren’t sure if we felt safer in the gross motel or in the parking lot near the local riffraff. For $120, this place robs you of your money...and your dignity. No one could pay me to sleep here again, even if it meant getting my $120 back. Don’t let the Wyndham affiliation fool you, it is still a Super Dirty 8. Do not go!

This was a quiet lil hotel right on the outskirts of town very clean. The only reasons on not giving a full 5 stars is because the ac unit did this crazy buzzing to come on while in auto mode and the indoor pool was not open. Be prepared to bring your things up the stairs because I don't believe we ever found an elevator. Other than that the stay was very pleasant. The only staff i ran into was the desk clerk and he was very polite had a small comforting conversation while I purchased my snacks. If by any chance I'm in Sterling Colorado at any moment I will be staying here again

Front desk staff is nice. The sheets and towels are clean. Good water pressure in shower. Everything else is horrible. Room was very dirty and in disrepair. There was a domestic dispute around 10pm and 5 sheriff vehicles showed up. The guy across the hall from us looks like a homeless person who needed a shower... He fell down in the hall with his bike full of his belongings and made a big scene about it. The smoke detector in our room was disconnected and sitting on a shelf. We only paid $99 for 1 night, but probably should have spent the $220 to stay at the holiday inn.

I would absolutely give this place a negative 20 if I could! I booked two nights for a class in the nearby area and was bringing kids, so we were trying to find something that looked okay, and was on the lower expense side.. Well unbeknownst to us, the Super 8 (which acquired the Budget Inn we booked) had no sign saying to check in for the other side (Budget Inn @ the Super 8), had BOARDS up and PADLOCKS on, the outside was falling APART, when we finally got INTO the building half the doors were busted, “residents” were leaving their doors open WHILE SMOKING!, when there was NO HOT WATER (no, not even lukewarm) the manager (Tina) had the audacity to tell us that we just needed to run the water for 30-40 minutes and then it would be fine, it took TWO HOURS just to get a remote then I had to PROGRAM IT, and they made NO ATTEMPT TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION.. When we asked for a refund to find another room, we were told that the manager would be in about 5 hours later and we’d have to come back.. When the lady at the front desk told us this, we told her she needed to come in now to fix it so we could find another place to go to which she told her manager “I guess they are leaving”.. Super 8 looked okay, but the Budget Inn SHOULD BE CONDEMNED!!!! Not only does the building have to be FAR out of code due to its deterioration, but the manager is absolutely horrific and she should NOT be in the customer service or hospitality industry!! Tina (the manager) was rude, didn’t care in the slightest to help, and apparently this is NOT UNCOMMON! THANKFULLY, there is a great place RIGHT NEXT DOOR Comfort Inn with a wonderful lady named Katrina who was ABSOLUTELY a godsend and SAVED our weekend...

I ended up in Sterling, CO after my car was totaled and my husband and I were trying to figure out how to get to our new house in Nebraska. I was too tired to drive any more and my dogs, baby and I needed a place to sleep. The Super 8 staff have been so accommodating! They got us into a room right away and one of the maintenance guys helped me unload my luggage into my room. The room was great for what I needed. The bed was very comfortable. The tv and wifi worked fantastically. The AC was an amazing reprieve from the Colorado heat. The mini fridge is a little loud but I could handle that. After taking a nice shower my daughter and I enjoyed the pool. The wading pool seemed dirty but the regular pool was nice and clean. Later on in the day I found that I needed to check out at 1:30 instead of the usual 11am. I explained my predicament to the staff and they were so understanding!!!! I was fearful I'd be stuck in the heat for two hours waiting on my husband to catch up to us. Breakfast was great too! Its what you would expect from a budget hotel. Not anything fancy but there were waffles and cinnamon rolls so I was happy! Overall I am glad I stopped in sterling to rest. I'm also glad I stayed at the Super 8. The staff were so nice and caring and my room was great...
