I read several other reviews of Capon before I went so I knew what I was getting myself into. This is not a luxury resort; there is no WiFi, no TV, no cell service, and no 5 star amenities. However, there is great food, exceptionally friendly service, and a lot of activities for all ages. After spending the weekend at Capon, I would highly recommend for anybody looking for a low-key, unplugged getaway.||I went to Capon for a girls' weekend with my sister. We felt a bit out of place as first timers, whereas everybody else seemed to be in large family groups, but we were quickly welcomed by Jonathan (one of the owners/family members) who made us feel part of the community. Jonathan made several appearances throughout the weekend, leading a campfire sing along and a tour of the historic spring house. ||Our room was in Poe with two full beds. It was simple, but clean and well kept. All of the buildings are historic and somethings seemed a bit quirky (two sinks?). The bathroom was simple, perhaps a bit dated, but suited our needs. The doors now have locks and keys, a change due to COVID. ||Everything is included except for golfing or the spa. There were several activities everyday and you can borrow board games and sports equipment from the main building. There is also a lovely library with a great collection about the history of the property. Highly recommend checking out the historical stuff!||The food was delicious, just be prepared to eat what is served. There is no menu and no ordering. Everybody gets the same entree and sides. Meals are also served at set times (8:30 am, 1 pm, 6 pm).||COVID Updates: I was very impressed with Capon's COVID measures. Masks were required inside and they frequently reminded people to be aware of their pods and distance outside. The staff were definitely sanitizing and keeping things clean. They added a to go dining option for those who feel uncomfortable eating inside. ||Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed Capon Springs. Just make sure to read up about the place before you go so you know...
