Truly made all the difference for our anniversary celebration trip. We stayed in Cabin Barnwood with our dog and visited some near by sites including driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. We got lucky, no one else was around, but even if people were.. it still would have been a lovely stay. The cabin was adorably decorated, clean and it is obvious the hosts are extremely thoughtful! They supply everything you need short of food, your own clothes and extra hygiene products of course. (If you need food or essentials, Stuart's Draft is a good sized town just 20 minutes away.) They give you firewood, board games, movies and even a little bin with goodies for your dog! Our dog sure did enjoy a few of those milk bones! The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils and appliances necessary for food preparation. They have extra blankets and towels neatly stowed in the bedroom. The hard floors decorated with a rug was an appreciated cozy touch. I loved that they made up a local info binder for your stay and also provided a guest memories book. Those kinds of personal touches make all the difference to me! We enjoyed having one of the living room windows open often and listening to the creek while comfortably sat inside, bug free.. but we also enjoyed sitting out on the back deck and gazing at the creek and forest too. It was so nice to wake up and walk down to the creek for a morning earthing sesh both days we were there. It's quiet and all you hear is nature, aside from the occasional car traveling by on the road out front. The cabin is clean, the grounds are well maintained and it was overall a wonderful stay. We didn't want to leave! The peace felt here is incredible. If we ever visit the area again, we will be sure to stay here and maybe check out another of the cabins! 😊

Stayed in Cabin Barnwood. Adorable one bedroom bungalow. It DOES have wifi. Everything perfect size for two Rustic for sure but clean. Kitchen well equipped (note-- gas stovetop, smallish fridge, no dishwasher). Has wood stove (not a fireplace)4poster bed, comfy but squeaky. Patio w gas grill, and fire pit area. Wood appears to be provided. Creek out back but not easily accessible from our cabin. No place to go for a walk exc along the road (eek a bit). But to hole up for a weekend with snacks, beverages, and your best friend... It was just what we needed.

They thought of everything. The only thing we needed to bring was ourselves and food. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how much this place makes you feel like its home. We stayed in the Foxwood cabin and it was very spacious, clean, comfy, and peaceful. Julia, who I believe was part of the management at Cabin Creekwood was so kind and gave us wonderful tips about the area. I'm not even an outdoorsy person and tend to prefer hotels but for a second I felt like I lived here.

Video/pictures are carefully presented to not depict what you will be truly getting. If you are looking for a private cabin in the woods with easy access to a creek right outside the back door, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. ||||- The cabin is located on a well-traveled road, not off the beaten path via the gravel drive depicted.||- There are two additional homes right next door - a big rating of 0 for privacy.||- The inside is extremely small (which was ok), but the photos do not accurately depict what is there. The full size washer/dryer (in the kitchen) is overkill in this little space , no cute table & chairs; instead an ugly bar thing. The furnishings are more than a little worn; look like they came from a bad second-hand store.||- Bath is ok; no shower.||- Upstairs is a one room loft. The video depicts 2 full size beds, the written description states 3. Which is it? Three beds and dressers, which makes for very little space to even move around. I can't imagine 6 adults sleeping up there. ||- If you are disabled or elderly, you will not be able to enjoy the creek in the back as one must navigate a steep vertical slope down/up. And, I mean steep!||- While the cabin is set up to sleep a hand full of people, the size is truly for no more than 2 - even three would be pushing it. ||- As we didn't stay, I can't really comment on the kitchen (it "appeared" adequate) or the condition/comfort of the beds.||||We wanted to get away from it all, not be sharing our time with the neighbors next door and not be able to enjoy the creek and surrounding woods. Suffice it to say, people do not pack up with 2 large dogs, fill up with gas (which is not cheap these days), and travel for several hours only to turn around and leave. While we were offered to try another cabin, we declined in that we really didn't want to deal with folks who had been so deceptive from the get go and continued to place the blame on us since we didn't investigate the property on Google Maps. Really!!! We were offered a 50% refund, of which we only received a portion. We should have been refunded 100% for the pet fee charge and the arm load of fire wood we purchased, plus an error in their math when initially charging us. As far as I'm concerned, we should have been refunded for...

Our experience was outstanding, at Cabin Creekwood, we stayed at Logwood Cabin. The moment we walked in it was like we belonged there, like we were at home. The Cabin was very rustic and smelled like a cabin right down to the fireplace smell of past fires shared by loved ones. The history in this cabin is unbelievable and be sure to check out the journals of other people's experiences. You can cozy up to a romantic fire place or use the heater to keep warm, with a loved one it doesn't matter just to spend some quality time together is a hands down a win for all. They have everything for you, right down to my favorite dish washing liquid Dawn, just bring food (full frid. and freezer) and your clothes. The atmosphere and surroundings are so peaceful to listen to the stream out back while having coffee on the back porch is so soothing and relaxing you hate to go back inside. Be sure to soak in the tub with there bath salts, not a bath person but really enjoyed that and made the skin feel so soft. We had a great time grilling out a couple of nights, David and I enjoy cooking together....just like Thanksgiving, lots of fun. The weather was not in our favor when we were there but we did the best that we could and still had a blast. It all really comes down to spending the time together wether you just have a lazy/relaxing day or your out and about doing stuff. We both highly reccomend making your next adventure get away to Cabin Creekwood, they have 9 different cabins to choose from to fit all accommodations and family sizes, a sure win what ever you choose. We will return and the next time the campfire will be used and more cooking outdoors will be done. The day we had to leave was sad because of course we were going home, but we knew that we would be back and that's what we look forward to...Wonderful time, make this your next adventure you will not be sorry....:) Peter and Julia and there daughters were wonderful they make you feel like family....very friendly and helpful. One does not find that kind of hospitably these...
