Edited: This place puts the rough in roughing it. It hasn't been maintained in years. Don't be fooled by being on Da Bus route. Your stay here does NOT include a ride wristband. The whole nightly entertainment is nonexistent. There is a kitchen but its hours are a mystery. The showers are gross. We had to shower in the dark the first night. Most of the toilets are just water troughs to do your business in. And their "rules" are only enforced for some people. When told about a group of punks doing mini bike burnouts at 3:00 am in camp their response was "Well, we couldn't hear it up here." Biggest disappointment ever. Won't ever stay here again. Hopefully somebody buys this place and revamps and reinvests in it. Because it has potential and 20 years ago was probably pretty cool.
Got a call from the owner, Mary, to argue with me about my review. She didn’t really deny anything in my review, just said that it’s not fair cause it’s really expensive to run the place, she has told the guy who runs the kitchen to stay open longer, they can’t hire bands anymore cause it’s too expensive, and they can’t control what people do in her campground. But at no point did she offer to make it right with me by any sort of refund. Super awkward and...
Read moreWe stayed here at the tail end of the 2025 Sturgis Rally. There were parts about this campsite that was amazing and parts that were a little cringe worthy. It was very rustic and low key which was great! The tent camping did not have assigned spots so you set up wherever you want! Plenty of large established trees to get some shade and a little more privacy.
Getting to the site is a loose gravel road so be careful! There are rough roads on the campsite but you will be riding in the grass so be aware. Your bike will not stay shiny and clean :)
There are very rustic outhouses throughout the site which is both good and bad. Great in the middle of the night when you gotta go.. but the smell will not go well with your after dinner drink.
If you like to miss the craziness of the rally and be there at the tail end when it’s a little quieter, be prepared to scooch out of there by the Monday after. Everything shuts down! Toilet paper will be removed from the port-a John’s, no more paper towels at the very rustic shower building. Trash cans will disappear!
The gentleman that checked us in was really nice as well as the workers that made our amazing...
Read morethe owners are friendly, there is an area for tents ⛺️ where it is a little quiet, it has washing machines, the bathrooms with showers are very few for so many people, I don't like that women enter the bathrooms to smoke, that's why there are a lot of free area for them to smoke outside there was not a single day at night that women entered to smoke, they should prohibit smoking in closed areas. We were there for the week of the motorcycle event, it is a good location but very expensive, they told us that the cars and the trolleys that pull the motorcycle would pay extra Parkin if we wanted it inside our store, but then one already being here because we have to pay, the camping place ⛺️ has no electricity or water, this place is only conditioned for adults who only come by motorcycle, I do not recommend it for families...
