This is an old school property in that reservations are taken over the phone with no credit card. The front desk clerk was friendly and got me checked in quickly. Unfortunately, a huge family was having a party in the parking lot. They blocked several parking spaces with their lawn chairs. I had to park on the other side of the building and, as I walked into the room, one of the family members walked over to apologize for blocking my parking space. (The apology was not accompanied by any movement of the chairs.) It was just a little frustrating because the office clerk could see that the family was blocking several parking spaces, but did nothing to stop it. They weren't terribly loud, but 20 people are going to make a commotion no matter how loud they are. So I had to deal with that, too, until they returned to their rooms around 10 p.m.||||The room itself was fine. Perfectly clean with working wi-fi. Given the lack of options around this area, it's probably the best property to choose. Just hope there's not a party going on in the...
Read moreThis roadside motel was surprisingly nice. When traveling, you don't always know what you're going to get with a locally owned (non-chain) hotel. This one, while it looked like most other roadside motels on the outside, was very nice inside.||We arrived very late, pushing 1 am and decided to stop. Our stop woke the owner, who was very pleasant and accommodating. We got our keys and proceeded to the two rooms we booked for our family. The rooms were very large inside, with two sleep number beds, fridge, microwave, table, large TV, and nice decor. There was a lot of floor space. The rooms were very clean.||Only real negative was that the bathroom was very small, but the vanity & sink were in the main room and well lit. Not a lot of changing room in the bathroom if you're sharing a room. That said, the positives well outweighed and the price was right!||We would definitely stay here again and would recommend...
Read more$70 but worth it when you’re in the middle of B.F.E. on a cross country road trip heading home from laying my father to rest. I needed to relax and this was convenient. Good cold A.C. nice hot shower, tv with plenty of channels and a comfy bed. There was plenty of toiletry, towels, soaps, toilet paper etc. a mini fridge and a microwave with a little general store not far down the road. Only thing I suggest is throw away the ate up rotting chairs outside by the doors and clean the bathroom door, it was filthy and the toilet seat was sticky, and invest in some cleaner towels and linen. The blanket on the bed smelled like a musty man slept there before me so I ended up just using the sheet. Pillows were comfy. Very clean room overall just could use a little updating kind of a musty old smell that went away after I aired it out or my nose...
