I've been coming here for years for my sister's birthday float, so this review isn't just based on one experience. The quality of site you get can vary WILDLY for instance: there are tent sites in a field with no trees, and tent sites buried in the woods along the river. The site we got this year was in the Riverbend family loop. Worst site in the whole loop. 292. Don't book it. It's right along a ditch which fills with water when it rains. (My 1 yr old loved it) And you literally can't tell where it ends and the site next to it begins. (Great if you share with your friends) The service when checking in is always awful. I get it, they're busy, it's a huuuge place, but they literally look annoyed when you come up to check in. They might want to consider splitting up the check in by loop or something since it's always crowded. They have SO much to offer, which is great! You just have to know what you want, because the staff is no help. They had three showers take our money and not turn on, which of course, they refunded us for, but with an operation this size and price point, there's no reason they should have that much trouble. I will say, they're quick to fix mistakes, and if you hate your site, please, for the love of goodness, ask if you can move. (My husband is stubborn, so we didn't) $77 for two people for two nights is too much to deal with something you're not happy with. Picture of site 292 included. Oh, also, there's no designated parking spot for this site, and it's literally right across the street from the showers, which I thought I wanted, until I found out that the hand dryers are outside. 🤦 All. Night. Long. *Vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....rrrrrrr vrrrrrrrrrrr. Vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* anyway, not the worst experience I've had, and the grounds are beautiful, I'm glad the owners share it with us, but there are some down sides too.

Awesome campground! Lots of wooded sites and plenty of places to play in the cool, clean creek that flows all through the campground. We had an electric only site, but filling up with water and dumping the camper tanks was easy at one of the unoccupied pull through sites just across from us. I liked being able to drive the truck down to the creek as well, made it easy to transport chairs,a pop up canopy, and the cooler so we could sit in the water while the kids played. We also did the campground tube float, where we rented a tube for each of us and the resort took us by bus up to one end of the resort and we floated downstream for about 45-60 minutes. At the end you get out and walk about 200 yards to the store and do it all over again. We floated right past our campsite and truck parked at the waters edge so refills on drinks and sunscreen were easy. Once we had enough floating fun, we just turned in the tubes and continued our camping fun. With a 4 and 8 year old, not being stuck on the river in a raft for 6 hours was nice. If they got bored or had enough 2 hours in, it would be a loooong rest of the float! Highly recommend the electric only sites near the store, they are mostly level, nicely wooded and shady, with easy river access. If you have a tent or smaller RV/camper and don't mind filling and dumping tanks, it's a great experience! The full hook up sites are still very nice but they are not as shady and are more conventional. Whatever you are looking for though, you can find it here at Bass' River Resort!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We were there in off-season but they have everything you can imagine from horseback riding, inner tubing, kayak rentals, swimming pools ect. And lodging you can go tent, full hook ups for rv, to a small cabin, to a slightly bigger cabin, to a slightly bigger A-frame, to a full-on house! On top of that they have a store, barbecues on the weekends and breakfast buffets in the morning plus pizza delivery from the store! They have a lot of campsites they have a noisy area where you can be noisy till 2:00 in the morning, a family area, adults only area And I can't remember the rest. All of these or separate areas that are not right next to each other. The bathrooms were super clean and showers worked well. They do require quarters for the shower 50 cents for 5 min of shower. They have an event center for weddings conferences or whatever to rent or an outside stage for live music! This place is beautiful, clean and has everything you can imagine. It is on the higher end of nightly stay and they do charge per person per campsite. But I really don't think you'll be disappointed with all the activities you can do!

Every year for as long as I can remember, my aunt and all of my cousins get together for a long weekend to do something fun. This year we had booked the Ridgeview #2 cabin for a long float weekend. The cabin was set back away from everyone and absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed a ton of time on the back porch that is perfectly situated for watching the sun rise and fall over the rolling hills of forest. Although the water was pretty low this year, we still had a great time on the float trip! We went back to the river the next day with our lawn chairs just to sit in the river and watch the crowd as they came in after their trip down the river....and here is the reason why I wanted to post this review. As we were sitting in lawn chairs, totally enjoying the day, a young man in a kayak came barreling right through the middle of our chairs. It was clear to us that he was extremely intoxicated and was struggling to get control of his kayak to bring it to shore. Eventually he made it through our group to pull his kayak out, but instead chose to just sit down on the edge of it right in the middle of our group. We are very easygoing people and could see he needed a few moments to gather himself so we offered him a bottle of water and tried to engage him in conversation. Very quickly, he became offensive, even grabbing my drink out of my cup holder when I had gotten up and helped my aunt move her chair to a more shaded area. We eventually asked him to move on from our group. He declined to do so, however after a while of us ignoring him, he silently got up and moved to the next group down. That group also asked him to move along and so we found him back with our group at which time we asked him again to move on. This time it was clear he was looking for a fight and he flat out refused to leave our circle. At this point we asked the gentlemen working for Bass River Resorts pulling and loading the watercraft for their assistance. ALL of the gentle man came over for assistance!! They handled the situation PERFECTLY!!! The kayaker was most certainly doing everything he could to escalate the situation and the Bass River Resort employees kept the situation as calm as possible, eventually placing his personal craft on their truck and taking him back to his campsite. We were able to totally enjoy the rest of our afternoon at the river. A HUGE thank you to the outstanding employees and to Bass River Resort for ensuring the safety of their guests. I would highly recommend Bass River Resort to all my friends and look forward to coming...

Our list of complaints about Bass River Resort is so long I honestly don't know where to start. I called several days in advance to ask about the price for tubbing and if a reservation for tubbing was necessary, first the staff member could not tell me the exact price, and after several minutes of waiting I was quoted "it's around $25-$30" and then was told that if we did not pay and reserve the tubes now, there would not be any left for us and there were only a few tubes left and we would not be able to float the day we arrive. On the day we were supposed to float, I checked the weather before we started our drive to bass river resort, seeing the weather called for storms starting around 2pm, I immediately called bass river and asked about their cancellation policy. I was told on the phone they will not refund any booked reservation within 10 days of that reservation regardless of weather. I was then told "I don't know why you are trying to cancel your reservation, it's a beautiful day and there is not reason to cancel" Because I had booked 5 tubes($30 per person) and 2 canoes($50 per canoe) my group decided to float on the river and hope that the weather would hold out since we wouldn't get our money back. After driving 3 hours to get to bass river from our home town, we arrived and checked it. When I explained to the staff member that we were there even though we knew it was going to start raining and we would have liked to cancel, we were told we could have canceled if there was bad weather! At this point there was no reason to not try and float. We were rained on the entire time and paddled as fast as we could to end the misery. The worst part about the entire situation was that upon floating on the river, we were quite literally THE ONLY GROUP WE SAW WITH TUBES. Even though we were told previously if we did not reserve the tubes they would we sold out? We saw probably 100 tubes stacked upon the river shore before starting our float, and we were one of the last groups to star floating on the river. We were treated extremely disrespectfully and it became ubundantly clear after speaking with the staff at bass river resort numerous times that their customer service was not only poor, it is simply non exsistant. We are not difficult people, all we ask if that when we call about the price of something, your staff should be able to answer us and when we request to reschedule due to bad weather don't lie and say we can't and then later tell us that we could have after we already drove 3 hours...
