Absolutely love this place!! The campsites are well maintained and secluded. Most have paths to the water which is great for fishing or swimming. I do recommend keeping your food and cooler secured as critters will and do get into them. The bathroom is clean with an oversized shower stall. Not too noisy or crowded (we went on a Sunday and Monday night). Will definitely be an every other week getaway. Lots to explore around and close to city amenities.

We go to The Point a couple times each year. It is a nice, quiet COE campround. Clean, well kept sites, friendly camp host, clean showers. The only possible negative is there is little-to-no cell phone coverage in most cases...but that is part of the allure to us.

We went here and stayed a few years ago. The shower was amazing. The whole camp experience here was one of our best trips ever. I highly recommend this campground.

Unlike other reviewers, we loved our campground host. When we arrived we checked in with the host to show that we reserved online weeks in advance. He told us to drive around and get familiar with the grounds. When we got to our site, cars were parked there. We informed the host and he took care of it so we didn't have to. That's what hosts are for. :)

The campsites are better suited for rv camping over tent camping since they are a 20x20 hard gravel square pad that has a defines perimeter of hard stone with a stationary picnic table and fire pit. Our tent is massive 10x18 so it barely fit. But we LOVED having a defined and cleared space because we were camping with a 1 and 3 year old. Also if your tent requires stakes to stay upright, make sure to bring a mallet because the ground is tough!

We did our research and this campsite is more secluded and more spread out than other...

I would leave 5 stars but the people in boats play music as loud as they can & of course it's up all the way because they don't care people are trying to enjoy a peaceful nature day. That would require actually considering how others feel & they aren't capable. They do here like they do with EVERYTHING else they touch; they ruin it totally & completely. We do NOT want to hear your yee-haw music, your loud drunken mouths run, and loud motors scaring the fish away. 😒 My nerves can't handle you guy's blatantly disregarding everyone's...

Let me say...the campsite and area was absolutely gorgeous. We had a perfect spot and I will definitely be going back. The reason I give it 3 stars is because of the campgrounds park host, David. He made us (two young girls) feel incredibly unsafe and threatened. He said if he had a gun he would "shoot my dog" and that it would be better for everyone if we just left. Mind you, we had just set up camp and were relaxing. It was completely uncalled for and I definitely suggest looking out for David...
