This RV park is a "glamping" resort. Totally met expectations. Unfortunately, its common amenities were closed due to Covid. Spaces are well separated with many trees surrounding each site. Nothing is paved, but speed limit is so low that we didn't have any issues with dust. Sites feel fairly private. Water and power are good. Not having sewer is the challenge, but there are many bathrooms and they are well maintained. Some folks used totes to empty tanks. We saw a service come through, although they come only on Tuesdays. No idea how much such a service would cost. The location is a great jumping off point for many activities within an hour's drive. Waterfalls from Tumalo to the northwest, Paulina falls to the southeast, Salt Creek to the southwest. Cascades lakes are less than an hour away. Many mountain bike trails outside of Bend. Some fairly close to Sunriver and the RV park. Sunriver village is a wonderful spot for hanging out, shopping, or riding bikes. The Deschuttes river is nearby tor a full day of floating. We didn't have any problems with mosquitos in August. We were able to use a propane fire ring. All regular campfires were prohibited due to the high fire danger. We will definitely be coming back!

First of all, I don't want to recommend this place except for the street advantages of Bend city or the surrounding Trail or State park. The first sewer line is not installed on the entire camp site, and as a result, the number of vehicle movement in the camp site is much higher, and the gravel is not properly laid on the bar, which hits the entire camp site with a huge amount of dust vehicles and trailers. I love bend and I want to come back anytime, but I have a membership, so I won't come to this camping site where I can use it for free again. The vehicles coming out of the dump station exceeded the speed limit of 5 mph, and there was more dust and I couldn't put things outside. Even if I report to the office, they only gave insincere answers “talk to manager “ and Ranger, who didn't have any aggressiveness, cursed his fingers In a European way, he probably think how would an Asian like me understand European-style cursing and when I protested, he said he had never done that. No matter how much I clean it, I want to strongly tell you not to go if you want to enjoy the dust that accumulates the next morning.

At the time of our booking the website advertised a pool which has clearly been out of commission for a long time. Website continues to list tennis courts and mini-golf, neither of which are truly available. Tennis courts are trashed and you would need to bring your own golf balls & putters for mini golf. Water was shut off shortly after we arrived, then when turned back on it was under a 'boil advisory'. Staff was extremely snarky when asked questions about these items. The little body of water at the front of the property is stagnant and filled with scum. The setting is great and the sites themselves are nice - not too terribly close together and pretty heavily wooded, although you can't attach hammocks, tarps, or anything to the trees according to their policy. Bathroom facilities were fine. The Little Deschutes river runs through the property and provided some swimming & paddle-boarding. Overall very disappointed in the misleading amenity information on the website resulting in little value for the cost.

EDIT: Since leaving this review, they have shut the water off for 3 days with no information on it coming back, and BOTH dump stations are now closed - My first email to corporate was met with a "We will look in to it, thanks" reply that tells me just how much Thousand Trails really cares. Basically they are trying to charge regular prices for literally no service at all - you can park your RV on BLM land and have the exact same experience that Thousand Trails Bend is offering its customers. Stay away.

Ive stayed at this park for three years now, and Ive had the opportunity to see what bad management can do to a great location. I would easily give this a 5 star review in 2022. The recent swath of bad reviews are completely understandable because its almost like the manager Tim is trying to shut the park down with a complete hands off approach and cutting every single corner. Where is there money being spent? They raised the rates for monthly stays and have stopped servicing the park!

Not on plowing the snow (They stopped doing that). They were supposed to hire someone months ago because their plow broke. What is the excuse for it being February with STILL no company hired to come plow your campground for you? Does corporate know that people literally cant move in and out of the park? (A sign has now been posted saying to enter at your own risk, which is comical for the people who already paid to be here over the winter)

Not replacing their broken equipment so that they can manage the park (If anything is brought up, there is a "Oh that is broken" response)

Not on removing dangerous trees (Dead trees are marked with pink ribbons and people still stay in the sites) for literally an entire season

Garbage very literally just piled up so that crows/wildlife tear it apart and stays there. There are two piles of garbage next to two dumpsters that have been there for months now.

The water randomly shuts off with zero warning.

The staff is a skeleton crew. Its clear that the workers themselves in lower level positions WORK, the cleaning staff does their job. But the on site management and manager themselves take a complete hands-off position and I have no idea how they earn their money when there is so much needing to be done.

All of the replies the manger has given in these reviews about hearing the feedback and implementing it - Thats a joke. Guy is never here at the park in the first place. Nothing is being done or has been done to improve the park the past year, it just keeps getting worse. I highly recommend staying somewhere else until the park is under new management, how they havent been replaced yet is absurd and...

We had been members last year and this year chose to just come for a week. After finding out from other friends who camped in July that TT changed there first come first serve policy Without informing any guests (retail or members) They were told that if they had called before arrival that they could have been moved next to there friends who arrived with them. || So I called the number for Bend/sunriver to request/ensure we could be next to our family that was coming with us in Aug. No one Ever picks up the phone at this location. I called 2 different days and it rang for almost 20 min before being transferred to a call center across the country and being informed they chose our sites for us now and that we were not even in the same loop as our family. They told me they couldn’t do anything about it.|| We have small children and they put us on the main rd in and out of camp (the busiest rd) We would have Never picked that site and would have never booked with TT if it wasn’t still first come first serve or At least let us pick our own site. But hard to do with Zero communication of them changing the policy after our reservation was made under the original policy. Also difficult when they have no customer service on site that picks up the phone they list at the bottom of the emails!|| I finally emailed the sales department on site and they forwarded my email to the supervisor at Bend/Sunriver TT and she and I had a few emails where she offered me two different site options to get our 2 camp sites next to each other which I was so appreciative. Just an hour before we arrived she emailed me and assured me she had made the change in the Computer and we were all set. ||At the time of check in just 50 min later they tried giving us completely different sites that we were originally given or the sites the Manager promised us!! The girls at check in informed us they already had put people in our promised sites! When I showed her the email from Cathleen Harms as proof that those sites were promised to us. They tried calling her to see what happened and conveniently she left 15 min early for the day and told them she had to give them away! Needless to say, I’m not sure how this is acceptable way to run a business!||Then when using the facilities I was disgusted and surprised with the lack of functioning sinks. One bathroom had a sink that the pipes underneath weren’t even connected and another restroom had a toilet completely removed from the hole in the ground and was being used to prop the door open. || We will not be...

What a horrible place! I met with Tim in February about renting a park model in the Fort Laramie side. Tim said they were purchasing the unit from the legacy member and once they purchased it I could move in and rent it sometime in mid May was the protected time. As May got closer I heard less and less from Tim, I would stop in to see him many days and he would not be there so I was finally able to get his email last week. I sent him an email asking about the time frame, he replied saying it was slow going, my VERY next reply was bounced back that the email was no longer being used and it provided an additional contact for an Erik, so I emailed Erik and after a few back and forth emails he said Tim had no authority to offer that for rent, the purchase won’t even be complete until the fall and Tim no longer works there. Tim had told me multiple times it was in the works and he had permission from his boss whoever that is. So here I am all packed up and ready to move with NOWHERE to move now and Erik could have cared less the issues they have now created. On top of that, Tim before leaving shared my personal phone number with at least 5 vendors and campers and I receive random voicemails everyday now from people who sound like they actually need to speak with someone at Thousand Trails, some were fire prevention, one was an elderly man in his 80’s trying to move in or out not sure since the poor guy was directed to me for whatever reason. There’s a water delivery company that has been trying for a week to get ahold of them. TERRIBLE business practices all around.

Update 5/20/25 have received 2 voicemails today from current tenants NEEDING to speak with resort staff. I am not staff I have no idea why my personal contact info was handed out!! I have tried calling member services, corporate headquarters, the resort office and get NO answer! GET YOUR BUSINESS...
