Petit Crest Villas — Hotel in Talking Rock

This was our first time here. The villas themselves are way up in the big canoe community, which is gated and they check you in at the gate and give you a card to scan to enter after that. There's so many other places to stay all up in here. Along with a marina with boats and kayaks you can rent and a little shop at the marina. They have many trails to hike up in here, some waterfalls and walks around the lake. They also have a few restaurants, pools you pay to access and I believe a beach area with a slide but haven't been to that yet. They also have golf. You are always finding more to do up in here. Also, the room was nice and the balcony is nice to sit out at night and look at lightning bugs. Only improvements I would say would be a better bigger sign for the office to check in, because it was kinda hard to find and get the keys and to kinda fix up the decks a little. There's also lots to do in nearby cities. Where we stayed had 2 bedrooms downstairs along with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, washer and dryer and dining and living room with 2 decks. If you want peace and quiet, then this is the place to book. Several cabins deep within a heavily forested area, surrounded by trees and foliage. The cabin we booked was clean and could comfortably sleep 6-8 people. A few complementary amenities were included in the kitchen, which was appreciated. Big Canoe is beautiful; if we ever return, we will be sure to bring our boat to cruise the large lake and explore a little more. While the area had plenty of spiders (it is in the forest, after all), I did not see a single bug inside the cabin. A Hidden Gem in the Mountains – Perfect Getaway!

Petit Crest Villas turned out to be an absolute gem! We stayed for nearly a week and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The villa felt like a true home away from home—comfortable, peaceful, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing stay.

The staff at the front office were incredibly warm and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The location is fantastic—just minutes from the lake—and offers easy access to plenty of outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and boating.
