Traveled from Arizona to Alabama for the Talladega race weekend. You never really know what to expect until you arrive. We were greeted with kind and genuine owners, who take pride in their campgrounds, and their tenants/customers. I cannot say enough good things about the ownership. The grounds were nicely manicured and kept up. You feel like you're deep in the middle of the woods, not just right off the highway. We rented their recently remodeled small camper. It was perfect for what we needed. It had 2 beds (1 was a futon, 1 was a double bed), a small microwave, an AC that was perfect for keeping the place cool and a small refrigerator that did a perfect job at keeping our refreshments cold. The trailer was parked in the most perfect place - near the brick & mortar bathrooms. Might I add very clean bathrooms! The (men's & women's) bathrooms had 2 bathroom stalls, 4 sinks and 2 ideal shower stalls. Friday night's entertainment was karaoke and Saturday nights was a band, which was held at the amphitheater on the campgrounds. They served a delicious breakfast for this event. The owners know exactly how to make their visitors feel at home! Best for last, the camp mascot, their dog. He greeted people everyday, all day. He helped me while I was missing mine. Keep doing what you're doing, you're all very wonderful folks.

My husband and I loved staying here. We stayed for 6 months here through the winter into spring after we got a referral from another park who said our camper was too old. And if you’re someone with a newer RV, the older models are kept in a different section in the back so you get the best of both worlds! As someone who travels full time, this is by far one of the best we’ve stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the long term residents are a joy. Everyone minds their business but will still wave and smile if you’re passing by. Beautiful grounds and views that feel secluded, even though you’re right off the interstate and in walking distance to the dirt track. I took some great moon photos staying here with how clear the night skies were! I’d recommend this place to anyone coming down for the races, as well as any full time camper dwellers looking for a new spot. They have great rates, lots of nearby trails and parks, and only about 20 minutes away at most from everything you’d need.

Very nice clean campground with friendly staff to assist you to your site. The staff go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Case in point: When we arrived, we were told that they were going to put us in a different site so that everyone would not be packed in together. Our new site was in a much better location than the one we had reserved. We are self-contained, so I didn't visit the bathhouse or the cottages, but everything seems in place and well kept. There is a playground up front for the kids of all ages to play. Full hookups available with 50 amp service on several sites.

Campground is quiet until the races start, and then you hear everything to where the race car engines are vibrating your camper. But that’s not why I lowered the rating on this review.||||When placing the reservation online, the website would not take any discount codes, so I figured I would book the site and work with the staff when I arrive. When I arrived, no one was at the office. I called via phone and the female that answered said she has me checked in and she provided me with the lot number to go setup. I asked about the Passport America rate and she said because I already paid for the site, they can not retract or refund part of the rental. Not even for Good Sam. I went and setup my camper. I would’ve scored this review as a 2 star, but manager showed up and was really nice with welcoming us to the campground. Fortunately even though I was forced to pay full price, at least the price was still reasonable versus other rv parks.||||The park is more of a plain rv site with not a lot of amenities, with the exception of full service hookups, the cabins that get rented, etc (as pictured on the website). I didn’t get to see the store since no one was there during check in.||||It looks like they are trying to do some landscaping upgrades since some lots were partially flooded, but there was a bulldozer on site. That area of the park was not being rented out. Some permanent residents that live there in older campers, and we were next property over from a cemetery. Other than that, seemed like the park was being taken care of.||||If we were into racing and wanted to be near the racetracks, we would...

We have stayed here two years in a row. Race week is Tuesday thru the following Monday. In the event of rain postponed races, stay over is at no charge. The owner Bobby is an absolutely great person. Could not ask for a better host and generally good guy. They would bend over backwards to help you out. We arrived during a rain storm and Bobby offered to take us to the site and check for ground stability so we didn't get hung up. We have a site with a 30amp connection. The power is extremely stable. I used our air conditioner and electric hot water heater at the same time and it was great...no worry about power issues at all. Sewer connection and water connection are standard and what you would expect to plug into at any other campground with absolutely no issue. The access to the interstate is great. Leave the campground, turn left and boom you have your choice of fire wood purchases, gas stations, suvenior tables, and on ramps to both I-20 East & West. Leave the campground and turn right and boom there is the race track. After the race it took us about 12 minutes to get from the speedway back to our parking spot at the campground. The campground also runs a shuttle service via shuttle golf carts to and from the speedway driveway to the campground if you don't want to drive your own vehicle over to the speedway property. There is also very decent 3G AT&T service and pretty good over the air television channels to watch. I think that I get about 20 air channels for the TV. We definitely will be returning here again...this place and the owner are great!!! ...
