This hotel is nasty, filthy, and dirty because management fails to do their job. The front desk manager thought that I was stupid and tried to convince me that the room was cleaned before my visit. I asked her repeatedly to come to my room to see for herself and she refused. I tried to show her pics of the dead and/or alive roaches, the mold, the refrigerator gasket that was crammed with roaches, roach eggs and mold and she became flustered, defensive, and rolled out plenty of weak excuses. Her response to all of my inquiries was that she was "going to discuss it with the housekeeping staff". The corporate office or the owner of this hotel needs to do an immediate, unannounced inspection of this hotel .||No Ma'am, it starts with you the manager. Discuss with yourself the ways in which you can improve as a manager. Start with improving your communication skills with customers. (I tried to show the manager photos of the mold that I had taken, she insisted that none of it "was mold, it was all just rust".) As manager, you must visually inspect the work of the housekeeping staff and check the condition of the room BEFORE customers check in.||My room was very unsanitary! The room was outdated, unkept and smells of cigarettes, musk, and moth balls. The carpet was stained throughout and had a foul odor. The room a/c sounded like a freight train, the toilet did not work properly and the tv remote did not work.||My room had cockroaches and tons of mold! I saw roaches and roach eggs on the nightstand, in the refrigerator, the oven, in the microwave and in the bathtub. I was afraid that the roaches were going to infiltrate my luggage and other belongings and that I would transport them home. I was also terrified that roaches were going to crawl on me while I slept in the hotel's bed. ||I specifically chose this hotel because I’m on a special diet and I prefer to cook my own meals. The hotel's website falsely advertises that the hotel has cookware for purchase on site. When I went to the front desk to purchase the cookware, I was advised by management that they no longer sold, loaned, or even kept cookware on site. ||All gross things considered, trying to get cookware to prepare my meals should have been an afterthought. There was absolutely no way I could prepare ANY food in that kitchen! The microwave is filthy nasty, the refrigerator gasket is crammed with mold, dead roaches, live baby roaches, grime and it wreaks of rotted food. The interior of the oven has tons of dead roaches and what appears to be burnt trash on the oven floor. However, management told me that the room had been cleaned and inspected. ||At the time of my check in there were no room keys available and the phone system was down. The front desk is not staffed at night and is only staffed sporadically throughout the day. ||This hotel is dirty and run down and does not feel like a safe place. I requested a handicapped accessible room on the first floor. This hotel is not handicapped friendly! There is a big step that you must maneuver to get onto the ramp leading to the front door of the hotel. The front doors to the hotel must be manually opened, there are no grab bars in the bathroom, and you can't access the tub/shower unless you are able to walk/stand independently. ||I shared my experience with the front desk morning manager. I asked her repeatedly to come to my room and to look at the roaches, the mold, and the filth. She refused, stating that she couldn't leave the front desk for even 5 mins although my room was on the 1st floor, just a few feet from your office. A customer tells you the horrific condition of their room and you refuse to see for yourself? ||I tried to show her all of the photos that I had taken of the room, she became defensive and began to make one foolish excuse after another. I was hospitalized in Tampa I got discharged on 4th of July and my left transportation driver that the hospital paid for me to get dropped off at no place just home less peoe around And my Driver Mr MD Hall he was also a pastor a prophet also from mission any ways God is Good cause I didn't want to be in a bad area of Tampa he made sure he brought me to a safe area of Tampa I am not from the City and not feeling all that well medically while IN the Hospital my phone was turned off he brought me to a phone store Crickett so I could get my phone on prayed over me power full and gave me peace of mind and feeling safe where he brought me extended stay America Tampa FL 4811 Memorial Hwy Tampa Florida it was amazing but first I had my debit card paid for phone bought McDonals And paid him for his taking me safe to this place do you know I lost my Debit Card when I got here to register And the lady that was checking me in I started crying I lost my card man got all the way here no card or monies she said calm down I'm not giving you any attitude or making feel more upset she was worried about me so patient I was trying to get my relatives to loan me the money for the night and I would go to the bank in morning and pay them right back but no monies then my son Ira I has Givin him my credit card and thank God he Had that I was so upset That I forgot that I even had credit cards They were patient very understanding I was in the lobby about 21/2 hrs going threw my Baggs to no prevail Thank God the manager I believe she talk to my son and explain how to book the room online and explained they went way beyond what they had to do help me man u know u hear about it happen but till it happens to you it is really overwhelming experience scared it all work out and lucky to get a room cause of 4th July man the room is Amazing clean big living room a kitchen stove refrigerator bathroom man big bed big flat screen TV just so amazing and man when I took a shower nice power of water nice and hot boy what a treat they b Have a gym pool free breakfast coffee oh my Goodness for $100.00 sure was well worth it and how the staff helped me and understand what my son needed to do was wonderfully 💙 they didn't make me feel rushed helped man very professional patient kind and understanding Fenesse the young Lady that made me feel calm helping me stay focused I was in the City never stayed in places like this before by myself very scary sition to go threw But by the Grace of God I got put in Good faith people that what the lord does found so much safe and help WOW And Jennifer Charlah how all these great staff here first time I ever stayed at extended Stay in America made she they got me a place to sleep and rest air clean I recommended this place 💯 plus if you are ever in Tampa FL I can't wait to come back I was Medically needed a place and they had my back I recommend always this place show time movies free wi fi you come in the front lobby and we are all safe and secure in side clean parking lot to smoke cigarettes yep no smoking in...
