On a whim I contacted Camp Waub o Jeeg the week before the 4th of July and found that they had 1 site left. My Wife and I went and what we found was absolutely what camping should be. Woods, spacious sites, friendly and welcoming owners who took individual time to show us to site and advise on best way and location to park our camper. The environment given from their seasonal campers was enviting and gracious. This camp doesn't make an itinerary full of things for you to do but instead offers things such as hiking, 4 wheeling, live band that weekend, trails right to the river where you get a table and fire pit to enjoy if you wish or a moment to enjoy your surroundings with beautiful views. They are at your disposal should you need something. I later found that the owners also have their year round home on the property which made sense it feels as though their welcoming you into their home when you arrive. I grew up on camps my entire life growing up and since then searching for a place where I felt like the memories of growing up and I finally found one here. If your looking for paved roads, golf course like manicured lawns, in ground pools and a concierge to carry your luggage, your not looking for a camping experience your looking for a Hilton. If you want to experience or share the experience of camping and just great family time and in a family atmosphere in a beautiful valley of trees on the St Croix River, call camp Waub O Jeeg and ask Rick or Deb to reserve you a site.

This was hands down the funnest camping trip! The owners are wonderful! It may have been the hottest weekend ever but the atmosphere and people here make it such a blast. The band Back Alley sounded great even from our tent site. The fireworks were fantastic and personable, almost like they were just for us. We were close to so many beautiful St. Croix river trails, shops and cute cafes. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already pre booked for 4th of July 2021. I highly recommend Camp Waub-O-Jeeg for anytime during the open season! Thank you so much Ricky and Deb for all you do to make this campground what it is and all you do for your guests.

Absolutely glad we came here. I got places based off of reviews. And this is the spot for a tent camper. Or for me. They had it all. Friendly staff (fantastic staff). Clean campground, wood, and other camping essentials. Came all the from Indiana and stayed a week. Other reviews mentioned noise. During the week it was quiet. Memorial weekend a little louder, but when you take into account people are on vacation, it's part of it all. Fabulous showers and bathrooms. Good entertainment. Looking forward to come back. Have fun and enjoy!

Not at all overly impressed. The bathrooms are filthy with no electricity. The male owner will not only stalk you but sexually harass you too. Good luck having a fire........the fire pit at our site was completely full. The only reason this campground is getting any good reviews is because of family and friends. The only reason I'm giving it 1 star is that's the only option I have. The way it used to be when John and new owned it was much better. It was clean and peaceful and overall the way camping should be. You camp to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet.....that will never happen here. Not as long as these current owners own it. Lakeview park in Balsam Lake only 15 minutes from camp wabojeeg is really the place to go. It's clean, organized, and the owners are truly amazing. They will go out of there way to make sure your stay is nothing less than amazing without bothering you to death!!!! I would like to respond to the owners accusations of us not paying our bill.......first off, our bill was paid in full. We have the receipts to prove that. As far as attacking you, that is not the intention here. We just want the public to know that this is a public campground. You can come and go as you please. You don't need to consult the owners to do so. When the owners come to your campsite ( constantly) and your not there and they go around the campground looking for you.....even in the bathrooms, that's just sick. It's even more disturbing that the male owner bothers you while your trying to take a shower by bringing you coffee. Nice gesture but not in the bathrooms.. that to me and most women is considered harrassment. And why is it when the proper authorities were called the male owners supposed name never came up on the computer? Seems strange to me. I have police reports to prove this.....they dont lie. And yes, your bathrooms are dirty, disgusting and without outlets. Read the other reviews........what improvements have been made really? Paint that just chips off?? Garbages that don't get emptied? And showers that don't get cleaned. Overall, ladies and gentlemen.......if you want to be verbally, and sexaully harrassed and have your privacy invaded.......this is the place to go. If that's not your thing, I would suggest going...

What's up with some of these negative reviews? This campground was a great little find. It is close to the cities, yet we still feel like we get away. The sites are beautiful and wooded- similar to the State Parks. Some just have electric for tenters, and many have water and electric for RV's and campers. There are some rustic sites as well, with no water or electric. The dump station is easy to get in right as you are leaving. The owners (Deb and Rick) are super helpful too. They will help you get into your site, bring you wood, Ice and pizza's and often stop by for a chat. There is another section of camp that is just trails in the wood for hiking or riding your ATV. There are some seasonal's here that call this place home all summer long. They are friendly and helpful as well. There are walking trails down to the St. Croix River, and you are very close to all the great things Taylors Falls and St. Croix Falls has to offer. As other reviewers have said, there is a big hill to get up to the campground. But is has never a problem for us and our camper is close to our SUV's tow max. The cool thing about the hill is you kinda feel like you are in a tree house on some of the sites because you are so much higher in the trees. The owners upgraded the bathrooms last summer and put in laundry facilities. The camp store has lots of snacks and many essentials you might need. Weekends are definitely busier than weekdays, but that is the case at any campground. It does quiet down by 10-11PM. Most of the sounds you hear are people playing cornhole and lots of kids laughing and playing. There are two playgrounds in the camp, and kids all started playing together with their new friends they met from other sites. If you are looking for a flat, open RV park with hotel like amenities, this is not the place for you. But if you truly enjoy being in the woods and want to experience all that actual "camping" has to offer, this is a great campground. There is lots of wildlife too. Bring your camera! We...
