I paid $56 for this room ( room 133 ) with a group rate pre-taxes & fees. Given the price range, I say this is an ok place to stay. Asked for a non-smoking room and indeed the air was free of any odor. The Chicago skyline wall art was a surprise plus and really added a lot to the room. Heat & AC unit looks brand new and worked well keeping the room warm. Bathroom could use an update and could have been a little cleaner, but again $56 / night. Some mildew spots on shower curtain bottom and under the non-slip mat. Shower worked well and water was warm. Bathroom has a heat lamp. Provided soap and shampoo worked well. The shampoo was a name brand I recognized - a surprise. Bed sheets were clean and free of any holes. Bedspread had a moderate stain but I just stayed away from the bedspread and didn't use it. Lighting is ok but could be brighter, especially by the desk. On breakfast, I only had some coffee from the breakfast bar. Coffee had a very good taste. Staff member at the desk was friendly on the phone when I asked for non-smoking before arrival and was great to work with checking in and out. Lobby has an updated wood-look tile floor and a quartz / granite front desk countertop. Considering the $56 price tag and convenient location if you've got something to do in Taylorville, I'd say this is an ok place to stay. The people on the staff at this hotel are doing a pretty good job given the limited resources $56 / night gives them to work with. Thank you for a great stay.

Room 116 was the dirtiest, non-smoking room I have ever stayed in! The walls were dirty, some had dents. No safety bars in the shower. The sink area needed an upgrade. The smoke detector and sprinkler cover looked like it had grease or nicotine stains. Waste can was filthy. The floor was filthy. I found loose tobacco between the fitted sheet and the flat sheet. Bathroom corners had mildew/mold. The shower didn't work. Handle spins. The bed was old. It sagged in the middle. The towels had stains. The microwave was ancient. Refrigerator was tiny. I paid $81.00 for the night. The front desk clerk never asked for an ID. He looked like he just walked off the street. No professional attitude at all. Though he was friendly.

This place is infested with black mold, this is also pictures of how I returned to my room after working 16 hours. The trash was placed in the proper locations when I left by the time I came back it appeared to be moved into a corner and some even thrown out of the container. Also this was dust and dirt from them allowing construction workers to come in and do whatever they wanted around my property without it being secured or informing me. When they changed my room they gave me a room with no sink and it was dirty, the staff are rude and will get an attitude about you using your rewards member info This was a horrible experience

Went in right after we paid to check out the cleanliness of the room and it didnt seem too bad at first. We went to see a movie and we were gone for abt 2 hours. We came back and there was glass all over the floor which definitely wasnt there before because we walked around without shoes on so we wouldve stepped on it. We were confused so we looked around to see where it came from and when we opened a drawer there was some random stuff and two vape boxes one fresh not opened and one opened ( we had a non-smoking room) neither me nor my bf have ever smoked... matter of fact im allergic to it myself so he cant smoke anyways. So either somebody was let into our room... (creepy asf) or they set something up while we were gone to try and get more money out of us because we paid cash and the manager seemed pretty upset we didnt use a card probably bc he knew he couldnt just suck money out of our accounts. So safe to say it felt pretty sketchy... we didnt even stay the...

The lobby is a junk pile. There is supposed to be breakfast as advertised on the roadside signs and website. Thank God there wasn't. They probably were shutdown for food safety reasons.

Our room was falling apart and hadn't been cleaned...maybe ever. Dirty sticky kitchenet. Rusty fridge with a loud dying compressor. Moldy grounds in the coffee maker. Every handle, door, drawer was scummy and sticky.

Stains on the bedding, patchy walls, non-working fixtures, dead flies.

We got in super late last night. It was dimly lit. We went straight to bed. I woke up itching and almost threw up while inspecting the room this morning. I hope I don't have bed bugs.

Booking was messed up we had to pay twice and luckily lost the rest of our days that we booked.

I'd rather sleep in the soy patch across the road.

I have...
