Been stopping here since 2015, back when the same owners were under the "Rodeway Inn" franchise. This is a gem and should not be missed. Views are spectacular right next to Capitol Reef Nat'l Park, the rooms are always top notch, and the hospitality unmatched in the closest towns of Torrey or Hanksville. There was a beautiful tile community smoking patio I watched the sunset on. They really try here and because of that I will always try to find an excuse to use this inn when travelling RT-12/Moab area. Until next time!

Me and my wife stayed here for a night to catch the sunrise at the temple of the moon and sun. It was the closest hotel to the location and worked out perfectly. The staff was easy to work with and extremely accommodating of our schedule. The pool was 10/10 during the hot summer. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay more nights! We had low expectations and cathedral valley inn exceeded them all. Lei was super kind! Location is perfect for all the things to see.

Rooms are old and dirty. Its scary place to go outside when dark. BUT staff is excellent and kind! Love this couple who are working there together. There is also video surveillance so you can leave your car outside and sleep well. Every reservation includes breakfast and it was so good! Waffles, cerials, bagels, coffee, tea… 10/10.

We stayed at this property on the night of June 14th, 2025. The rooms are pretty vintage, but overall decent and clean. However, for the price we paid, I’m sure we could have find something better in Torrey. The real issue, for us, were the employees. Specifically one. The morning after the day we arrived, my husband, his service dog and me went to have breakfast. One of the employees, (hopefully the only ignorant one), did not let my disable husband in the breakfast room because of the dog. We tried to explain him that that was not a pet, but a service animal. We even asked to talk to the manager, cause no one told us anything when we checked in, and he said he was the manager. After we informed him that not letting our service animal inside was against a federal law he said that “he has 5 service dogs at home, but he doesn’t let them in the breakfast room”. First of all, I don’t think you can have 5 service dogs, but if you really have a service dog it’s because you need it to be with you, you cannot just leave it at home. Additionally, he was just very rude, kept interrupting us while my husband and me were trying to talk to each other. His argument was that they have people from all over the world and that they do not like dogs. After this horrible discrimination, my disable husband was forced to have his breakfast outside. The employee did not even offer to bring the breakfast to him so I had to prepare it and bring it outside. This behavior was not only discriminatory, but also incredibly ignorant. If you are the manager of a hotel you should know the rules and apply them. We will file a ADA discrimination report. Clearly, I do not recommend anyone to stay...

I went on vacation to capitol reef recently and my partner and I chose this hotel for our stay because it was super duper close to the park, not gonna lie I was hesitant at first because of the remoteness of the hotel location but oh my gosh I was so pleasntly surprised with our stay! This was easily my favorite hotel we stayed at on out week long journey through Colorado and Utah, the rooms were super clean and spacious, the dude who ran the check in was super friendly and even hung out and chatted with my partner and I while we are dinner on the balcony and told us about some of the cool local hiking spots. Also if you're a nature type person like my partner and I are there is some really cool public land behind the building that is open for hiking and star watching at night so it was a wonderful place for a short after dinner hike with our dog. There's also supposed to be wonderful star views at night which I can definitely imagine because the hotel is pretty remote, unfortunately it was raining the night of our stay so we didn't get to see that stars but that's completely okay because we got a lovely evening storm with really pretty views of lightning over the mountains of capitol reef which we watched from the cute lil chairs on our rooms porch area. I would Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to capitol reef or the surrounding areas, the remoteness may seem intimidating but trust me the beauty of the nature and the calmness of the location is totally...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cathedral Valley Inn, and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience I had there. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their friendliness and willingness to help were truly outstanding. When I faced some unexpected travel issues, they bent over backwards to assist me, ensuring that my trip continued smoothly. Their dedication to customer service is unparalleled.

The rooms at Cathedral Valley Inn were immaculate. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, and it shows. Every detail was attended to, from the fresh linens to the spotless bathroom. It made for a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

The view from the hotel was another highlight. Waking up to the stunning scenery each morning was a real treat. The natural beauty of the surrounding area is simply breathtaking.

Additionally, the location of the inn is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. It is conveniently close to several cool outdoor activities, including jeep trails and a nearby national park. Whether you're into hiking, exploring the trails, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, Cathedral Valley Inn is ideally situated to offer easy access to all these adventures.

In summary, Cathedral Valley Inn is a gem of a hotel that excels in hospitality, cleanliness, and location. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay while exploring this...
