We stayed at this property on the night of June 14th, 2025. The rooms are pretty vintage, but overall decent and clean. However, for the price we paid, I’m sure we could have find something better in Torrey. The real issue, for us, were the employees. Specifically one. The morning after the day we arrived, my husband, his service dog and me went to have breakfast. One of the employees, (hopefully the only ignorant one), did not let my disable husband in the breakfast room because of the dog. We tried to explain him that that was not a pet, but a service animal. We even asked to talk to the manager, cause no one told us anything when we checked in, and he said he was the manager. After we informed him that not letting our service animal inside was against a federal law he said that “he has 5 service dogs at home, but he doesn’t let them in the breakfast room”. First of all, I don’t think you can have 5 service dogs, but if you really have a service dog it’s because you need it to be with you, you cannot just leave it at home. Additionally, he was just very rude, kept interrupting us while my husband and me were trying to talk to each other. His argument was that they have people from all over the world and that they do not like dogs. After this horrible discrimination, my disable husband was forced to have his breakfast outside. The employee did not even offer to bring the breakfast to him so I had to prepare it and bring it outside. This behavior was not only discriminatory, but also incredibly ignorant. If you are the manager of a hotel you should know the rules and apply them. We will file a ADA discrimination report. Clearly, I do not recommend anyone to stay...
Read moreI went on vacation to capitol reef recently and my partner and I chose this hotel for our stay because it was super duper close to the park, not gonna lie I was hesitant at first because of the remoteness of the hotel location but oh my gosh I was so pleasntly surprised with our stay! This was easily my favorite hotel we stayed at on out week long journey through Colorado and Utah, the rooms were super clean and spacious, the dude who ran the check in was super friendly and even hung out and chatted with my partner and I while we are dinner on the balcony and told us about some of the cool local hiking spots. Also if you're a nature type person like my partner and I are there is some really cool public land behind the building that is open for hiking and star watching at night so it was a wonderful place for a short after dinner hike with our dog. There's also supposed to be wonderful star views at night which I can definitely imagine because the hotel is pretty remote, unfortunately it was raining the night of our stay so we didn't get to see that stars but that's completely okay because we got a lovely evening storm with really pretty views of lightning over the mountains of capitol reef which we watched from the cute lil chairs on our rooms porch area. I would Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to capitol reef or the surrounding areas, the remoteness may seem intimidating but trust me the beauty of the nature and the calmness of the location is totally...
