My wife and I stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary weekend up in the White Mountains. After we got settled in on our first evening and I woke up the next day, I immediately loved how close we were to the main areas of the Whites, yet we felt a world away in Thornton. There was a great view of the mountains right across the street, with a car or two passing by every so often, but for the most part the area was peaceful and serene.||||We stayed in cabin #1 which was everything we hoped it would be–small, cozy, warm, and welcoming. The faux fireplace heater in the living room/kitchen kept that room very toasty, as did the baseboard heater in the bedroom. Even with me, my wife, and our 60 lb. dog in the small cabin, we never felt cramped.||||The kitchen area had a mini fridge that was just the right size to hold a few days worth of food, and the electric burner on the counter worked just fine for us to cook spaghetti and tacos on for dinners. The amenities were just enough to make us feel right at home.||||The view of the stars at night from outside was simply stunning. As we watched them come out on our last night in front of a big fire, we were blown away. It was as peaceful and wonderful as a trip to the mountains can get.||||I highly recommend these cottages to anyway traveling to the Whites. You won't be...
Read moreThese are cabins with a real New Hampshire vibe. Opening the door to the wood paneled cabin after a day of snow adventures is like coming home. Very clean interior. Enough kitchen utilities to cook from scratch a simple Curry or Chicken coq au vin. For that purpose a sufficient medium-sized fridge hums in the kitchen corner. Bed is firm and cozy. Bathroom offers a true hot shower. The cabin stays warm all day even with frosty wind blowing outside. The hot tub gets extra high marks because it also smelled like a Norwegian spa with woodsy aromas. Everything is well organized and managed . The driveways and the walks are kept clear and safe all day. The barbecue station is ready to go when you are. To top it all, the owner(s) were very personable, and accommodating with the short-notice booking and earlier check-in time. Thank you for sweet 4 days in New...
