South Fork Tieton Dispersed Camping — Hotel in Tieton

Loud Bass Mexican Music played all day then all night.. still blaring now after 1 am! I enjoy Mexican music But not 20 hours straight!! Crazy people Right now Are STILL Partying around their Huge Camp fire With signs posted NO Campfires! Because High Risk! WTH!! All day ..Atvs racing in and out by same group of about 45+ people adults and children. It says Be respectful of Neighbors quiet hours start at 10pm ! So Drained & Exhausted from all the yelling, LOUD music and noisy atvs . I Travel all over National Forests through out North America! For years now this has been a complete nightmare . Seriously blaring music ALL day and loud Atvs spinning up dust back and forth all day ..People go to National Forest for Nature, read, relax, maybe even enjoy being able to listen to the river.. not a bunch of drunkards, dropping trash everywhere and acting like they own the the right to disturb everyone else's peace. Both dumpsters are overflowing with their garbage.. not impressed. It looks like an encampment .. 5 massive tents, 7 smaller ones, all squeezed into 2 campsites ! Plus 3 to four shade canopy's some down on the river with more grills and more loud amplifiers to blare their music all day across the water . Not a moment of peace! Lots of places to camp up and down forest service road 580. The further you go down the road the less people there are. This place fills up with whitewater boaters and river rafting companies starting Labor Day Weekend and for the month of September. Water is released from Rimrock Lake making the Tieton River turn from a lazy creek into some Class III+ whitewater rapids. I have been camping and guiding rafts just down stream of this exact spot since 2007. I have hiked all over the area and around Rimrock Lake. I know where some cool waterfalls are and how to get to the top of goose-egg mountain. Book a trip with Alpine Adventures and maybe I will see you on the river. Drive up to the airport and check out the lake, it's a special place.

The area around Rimrock Lake was the fall hunting grounds for the Yakima Indians. Goose-Egg mountain and the surrounding area is a sacred place. I could let go the dust, wind, noise, crowds of jerks not taking covid precautions (in Yakima County who has one of the highest infection rate, but one of the lowest pop. density in the state), such as gatherings of 30-50 people with none wearing masks , but I can't get over the poo and toilet paper littering the ground. You can see it just driving down the road. Forestry even posted a sign about the poo poo and TP. No wonder everyone is sick. Can't even go for a walk without dodging mine fields of poo and discarded TP. I drove 4.5 hours to get there. Terribly disappointing, disgusted, and left feeling dirty and possibly exposed to covid.
