The campground is nice. But the manager of the park don't care about her campers at all she is thinking how much money she can get from everyone. I had reservations for 3 nights and had local family members come out to the park to visit. She made them pay day use fee's and told them where my camp site was so she new how many came in to visit. We had two campsite so we made a big dinner and served it at one campsite then all are guess split up into each site. She came up just when started serving dinner and we did have 12 people but just getting there food. I did try to explain to here that we were splitting up so we would be under the 10 person rules. She counted the children in on the 10 person rule and all adults has had there vaccinations. But anyway she didn't won't an explanation on what we where trying dong to do, so she called the police to come and tell us to leave because she didn't feel safe coming to talk me. I don't know why but she made sure to charge all my family to get the money then come down and told us we where over 10...
Read morePerfect place to take my three year old on her first camp trip this June.. So much fun that we booked another trip before summer was over. Site 35/36/37/40 were a good choice for us with lots of grass for tents and running around. Other sites had much less space so be careful which one you book if you need room. We had 5 families in our group and booked three sites next to each other and it worked out really well. This place has great, child friendly, river access and swimming hole. No cell service in the camp which was lovely and Fred Meyers only ten miles away if we needed things like ice/camp wood, ect. They did sell wood on site as well and we bought a ton. On the August trip we all swam in the river and found a bunch of neat rocks. There is a generous sized playground, a sand pit, basketball hoop and flushing toilets (sometimes they would be clogged up though). Thanks to the camp host for being so kind and helpful (Felesha?!) She was the reason we booked another trip. Hoping we run into her at another park on the coast...
Read moreIts a great campsite, there's a park for kids, and bathrooms on both ends. Easily accessible and cleaned once a day each morning. The river is shallow on one end and deep on the other with a rope swing, great for adults, children and dogs. While all of these things were great, the only thing that i didn't enjoy was how the actual area for camping was. You park your car and sleep in a patch of grass right next to it. You can see and hear the people on the other end of the camp. Their aren't any trees in between or anything for privacy besides some foliage to seperate sections. if it had been busy that weekend we would have been sleeping a few feet aways from at least 3 different families because that's how close they are. Luckily we had gotten the biggest section available (28) and weren't confined to the smaller sections like the ones we saw. Overall it really was nice though. Only a 15 minute drive to the tillamook cheese factory, and another 15 to the nearest beach (bay city) 20 minutes for Rockaway beach...
