Nice spot. We took a very SMALL TRAILER on the forest roads up. Not much trouble at all. Maybe the work had been done to prepare for Obviously a lot of work is done to keep the roads sound. Still, there were some deep potholes. (We went up from Beaver, and the forest road was about 14 miles, pretty steep and hilly.) It was busy because of a holiday weekend, and the cluster of camp sights right by the lake were full. We weren't there to make new friends, so we camped at a drive-out spot that we saw on the way up. There are plenty of these drive offs, and plenty of places for "dispersed" camping. The lake is more like a POND. It's very small. Lots of people fish this pond and lots of people take little boats, canoes out on it. The pond is well-stocked, judging from the regularity with which people pulled fish despite the paddling boats in the nearby area. We used an inflatable raft, and a couple of times I was worried about the branches from sunken timber. We're looking forward to going back when it's not a...

Went on a scouting mission towards South Lake for some dispersed, trailer-worthy camping. Never got to the actual campground because the road began getting progressively worse after pavement ended. Gravelly, washboard ridden turns tightly wound around hills that give you nothing but drop-off cliffs to hold you in on the other side made it really hard to enjoy the view. We turned around about a mile and a half from the location's pin. Beautiful area and we did have service for the duration of the rough road (AT&T network) so, if you don't mind white-knuckling it for 6 to 7 miles, the camping spot might be worth it. But the various pull-offs available before and after the camping closures might be...

Very nice place easy to get lost on the many trails that aren't well marked the camp area was really busy especially near the lake and the bathroom structure was very high traffic...but is a decent mix of camping with some luxuries with a bathroom being available and was fully stocked with TP some trash people left behind it is a pack in pack out camp area but very pretty out there...some phones have service...so far we have found sprint gets some service not much tmobile has none at all but at&t I had 4g service with 4 to 5 bars near the lake area some areas I did lose some service ...

!Roads were fairly maintained, even when we hit some snow it’s still a nice little spot to get away. Beautiful area. Happy I found it to end my trip.little bit of trash but nothing I can’t handle but heard it gets pretty gross. Has a vault toilet that’s been vandalized and super beat up. From looking at reviews other places the area is flooded with party goers and they like to mess with things that aren’t theirs. Beautiful area to go to especially spring time summer I think I’ll stay away.
