I believe there is potential for this property. I was really excited to try Delta Hotel Philadelphia since it was nearby the airport, there was complimentary shuttle (which Chris was very prompt, kind and I loved the tracking upon arrival), and it appeared to be up to date. When I arrived I was greeted by the front desk and everyone was so kind. I did get in a little early and I had to wait only 30 minutes for availability to check in which I thought was awesome because I needed to work. Unfortunately when I checked into my first room, that's when problems started to arise.

Room 610 - First room that I checked into with the ceiling peeling/falling in. I went back downstairs with pictures and the front desk representative "Diamond" apologized and called maintenance right away. She also promptly gave me a new room. Room 615 - This was my second room and it was better than the first room. So while I was doing my wipe down of the room, the refrigerator had left over food in it, in the bathroom what I thought was a bug was somebody's old eyelash, and the bed had blood stains all over it. There were even black speckles and at that point I left the room. It was completely disgusting. I went to the front desk and show the pictures that I took. This time I spoke with "Casey" and she apologized profusely providing me a new room.. Room 915 - I walked in and the carpet had burnt marks that was more than normal wear and tear. I didn't even bother staying in this room and I went back downstairs right away because the state of the room is not worth what I paid for. When I went downstairs and told Casey that I don't know that this is the hotel for me, Diamond was also downstairs at the front desk and said she would find a room for me. At this point it's been one and a half hours between changing rooms, going up and down stairs, and waiting in line with guests. I sat down in the lobby and waited for Diamond to come back with a room that she would have found acceptable. She gave me room keys to a new room. Room 312 - This is now my fourth room and that I checked into and the lobby manager "T" was extremely kind and followed up with to review the room to ensure it would be comfortable for me. Out of all of the rooms I have been in this room was the best, the mattress in the room was fine and it appeared that there was minimal wear and tear. Because I was so tired and still needed to work I was able to make the room work. T assured me that if I needed anything to please let the staff know. After T left I realize there were fruit flies coming from the bathroom, and above the bathroom door there was something yellow dripping along the door frame. Since I always do a wipe down of rooms I'm staying in. I did wipe down the door frame. In addition, the fridge was leaking inside but a quick wipe down was sufficient to use the fridge. I left for the evening and when I came back I wanted to take a shower noticing that the shower liner and the shower curtain were dirty and smelled. I had not initially noticed it because the shower curtain was not expanded yet it was folded up to the side. I called down to the front desk requesting a clean shower curtain and liner, however, no one could locate a clean shower curtain or liner anywhere in the building. Since it was after hours I said that was fine. If I could be brought one the next morning since I could take a shower then. Unfortunately, I did not receive a new shower curtain or liner. I called every day and mentioned it to the staff, even spoke with housekeeping directly in person on Sunday requesting a new shower curtain and a new liner and housekeeping could not provide me a new one. So I had to spend my time with a very smelly mildewy shower curtain and liner my entire duration of stay while taking a shower. I was fortunate that my friend brought me a can of Lysol for me to spray the shower curtain and the shower tub every time I used it. There was also mold on the wall.

Corporate needs to bring the property up to Marriott standards. I was never offered anything...

I've come to the this hotel numerous times. I've always had a some what good experience, enough to come back for an overnight trip. This last trip was highly disappointing. I booked via Hotel.com a double room. I did have an issue in the past where I booked a double room, went up to the room with all my items to only find out it was a single room. Unfortunately, this happened again this trip, I asked before going up if it was indeed a double room, I was told "Yes, it is a double room". (room 630) Needless to say it (again) was not. I had to come back down with my items and my disabled child. I went to the front desk explained the room was single and not double. The front desk person quickly got me into the room next to that room and cited that there was a few rooms not listed correctly in the system. That is a red flag, as I experienced this issue a year ago. Makes you wonder how long these rooms have been listed that way and why management have not changed them. It isn't fair for the front desk to have to keep up with the rooms in that way. So! I get to the second room, (room 631) it is indeed a double room. We begin to unpack and wind down for the night as it is 9pm ish. I always check the bed for bedbugs (you never know!). I did not find bed bugs but I did find a lot of crumbs and hair under the sheets and an extremely dirty mattress. Also, in the bathroom the sink was stopped up, when washing my hands I noticed the water was getting higher and not going down. (for the record the entire time we were in that room the water did not go down). Also, the shower was dirty, dark stains all over it and hair. Also, the drain was hanging out to the side and not fully in the tub, broken. Again, I go back to the front desk, where I spoke to Jordan, told him the situation he was very nice about it. He documented what I said, changed my room and offered me 2,000 points. Upon entering the room (Room 625). I checked the bed, (not so bad but meh) I checked the bathroom and it was clean with a working shower/tub and sink. Great! You would think....I also noticed an ant on the desk under the TV. I killed it, then I saw another ant. I killed it and didn't think anything of it. I did decide to not put anything on the desk and put my things on a side table near the fabric chair, thinking it would be safe. At this point, 3 rooms, 2 changes I wasn't going down to reception again! I was tired my son was tired. It was all too much. I must say I wish I would have done it or just slept in my car. I say this because we stayed the night left in the morning. I told the lady at the front desk about the ants, I didn't get her name as I had to be out of there quickly. She documented what I said about the ants and the other room 631. Later that day after we did what we came to do in Philly, we stopped half way (oh before I say that, I did see an ant on my sons stroller after we left, didn't think much of it at the time). I opened up a soft mesh cooler we had, that has a silver liner inside. Low and behold! It was completely infested with ants, too many to count. Sheesh! I get home I to take my son out the car and move his diaper bag and guess what there are 2 ants in my car on the floor under his bag. I check his bag and guess what?!? Yes infested with ants (hence how it got on the stroller). I had to hose down the stroller, throw away the two bags and cough up money to pay to have the inside of my car detailed. I tried to clean it myself but there were too many ants to get. I did call back to the hotel to speak with Juan who is a Director there. He took all my information and documented what I said. What got me was he had no knowledge that I made these complaints. The staff should have told him as he is the head of housekeeping. The worse thing to do is let ants go unchecked in a hotel. I'm sure by now that isn't the only room infested on the 6th floor. Needless to say I will never stay here again. If you read this far and still think you might want to, check for ants and god know what...

If I could give this hotel ZERO STARS!!! I would!!! Steer clear clear of this place. I came here on Christmas Day 12/25/2023 with my mom for the holy convocation. The front desk worker Nicole was FANTASTIC!! SHE gets a 10/10. When we first arrived and went to our rooms the beds didn’t look maid up and shower was kind of dirty. We let front desk know about the beds and that we found hair and they said housekeeping was off because it was Christmas. Understandable, I said if you give me the sheets, covers, and pillows I’ll make the bed myself. fast forward 6 hours later we’re getting ready to sleep and the air isn’t working. We let front desk know and they moved us to the room next door. That room was no better. My mom had a bed and I had a bed. I NEVER sleep under the covers because I always feel like they aren’t clean enough. Fast forward 2 days letter I notice house keeping hasn’t cleaned our room. We let front desk know and the guy said ok I’ll be sure to send them up to your room. That was at 9am. He go to breakfast and come back 3 hours later. Room still not done. We let house front desk know as we are leaving to go back out. They guy said oh I’m so sorry we sent them to the wrong room I’ll be sure to send them back up. Few hours later we return and room still not done!! We called down and house keeping answered and said we need to schedule 24 hours in advance that’s their rule. I hang up and plop on the bed. My mom says my sheet was coming off the mattress. It wasn’t a fitted sheet. I pull back the blankets for the first time to fix it. Mind you I haven’t slept under the covers in TWO DAYS!! I pull back the covers AND FOUND PERIOD BLOOD ON MY SHEETS!!! We let management know and he brushed it off and said house keeping will come tomorrow you’re supposed to book 24 hours in advance. WHY DO I NEED TO BOOK HOUSE KEEPING?! THATS THEIR JOB TO CLEAN ROOMS EVERY DAY!! THIS BLOODY SHEETS HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE WE GOT IN THAT ROOM BUT DIDNT SEE IT UNTIL THE SHEETS POPPED OFF. Then they sent the janitor to come change our covers and sheets. He pulls everything off only to reveal a HUGE PEE STAIN ON THE MATTRESS!!!!. We went downstairs and asked for a FULL REFUND!! They said NO we will comp your FIRST NIGHT since you had a change rooms but that’s it. AFTER I SHOWED YOU THE BLOOD A PEE YOURE ONLY COMPING ONE ROOM??!! I don’t think so! I called headquarters and told them what happened and they were disgusted and apologized profusely Because we are loyal Marriot customers for YEARS!!! They refunded us ALL OF OUR MONEY!! And front desk must have got chewed out because they called us asking if we wanted a new room and apologizing. We left and found a better hotel which was a 10/10 experience. Pat the manager didn’t want to give us a refund until my mom brought up her cancer and he only refunded us I believe so we would keep our mouths shut and not sue them!! CHECK YOU BEDS BEFORE SOMEONE CATCHES AN Uncurable disease!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT...
