My husband and I stayed at this KOA for the month of December, 2022. We have never stayed at a worse site in all of the U. S. or Canada R. V. Parks we have stayed. Firstly, I want to say the staff and customers were awesome and I've even been told the new owner has improved the park tremendously since taking it over the past 1 1/2 years. My complaints are only involving the long-term guests and where they are parked and the price they are charged. We were charged $1300.00 per month for the worst site we ever stayed in. #1 The cement pad beside our trailer was cracked all over and uneven, making for a tripping threat. I kept our picnic table over the worst part so we wouldn't fall over it. #2 The big tree beside our trailer has above-ground roots growing in the grass where we parked our truck. Another tripping/falling hazard. #3. A large motor home was parked next to our truck parking space. Noone occupied it all month. My husband had to back out around the front of it every time we went anywhere. He couldn't see anything coming(child, adult, vehicle) down the road from the driver's side until to late. They allowed this to happen. I am not normally a bitcher, but I feel our site was very unsafe and I can't understand why we were even put in it, let alone have to pay $1300.00 non-refundable dollars for it. I will never stay or even book at another KOA!! Update to my earlier review: When we made our reservation to stay at this KOA last September, we told them we needed 30amp power. Before we left Arkansas to arrive here on Dec. 1/22, I noticed our email reservation said we had a 50amp power site. My husband phoned and told them our trailer won't handle 50amp and they said all long-term customers are put in 50amp sites and that all we have to do is tell them when we come in the gate and we will have to buy a $38 adapter to change the power from 50amp down to 30amp. So we did as were told and thought there was no problem for the month of Dec. When we moved to another campsite 20 miles down the road on Jan. 1/2023, we lost all our power immediately, to find our power cord to our trailer had been fried along with our power converter. A professional RV repairman confirmed it was caused by the adapter we were made to purchase at the KOA. This problem caused us $129.99 for a new power cord and $1,005.00 to replace the power converter, which we feel should be compensated for by this KOA. I will let you know if justice is served, as I have reported them to BBB.

We have a annual vacation with grandkids at a KOA, and booked stay over 6 months ago.We booked here because it was near NASA. We were disappointed with our stay at Titusville KOA, and never went to NASA due to many shows and such still closed due to Covid.I will take partial blame that I did not make sure there were various things for kids to do at KOA. I assumed there would be a few other things for kids based on other KOA's( bounce pad, movie night, kids activities). We wanted to leave and stay in St.Augustine but would of lost money. Pool was decent but closed at 8pm, play ground was ok, office store had minimal items, large amount of permanent residents with poorly kept housing/yards that use same entrance and exit, many large breed dogs that were not suppose to be allowed in park that permanent residents allowed to walk onto cabin yard and use the bathroom without removing waste, and dogs on long lead lines that would continually bark at kids walking by to pool. Drunk adults in pool. Small kids swimming with no adult supervision. I did not feel safe allowing kids to walk anywhere alone. No staff driving around. Two nights in a row both cabins next to us were rented by young people drinking, smoking hookahs until 1am. Vomiting off of their porches, yelling, cussing and drunk driving. No fire pits at cabins other than cabin #1. Many small ants that would get into anything left on table or counter top. Bushes were trimmed at entrance to cabin and were just left on ground. Smoke alarm went off everytime you cooked in cabin. Broken door going into back room that no one ever showed up to fix after waiting 2 hours. Beds are horrible so bring a memory foam for futon and queen size bed. Bunk bed mattresses were decent. Cabin was not cleaned very well. Food in burners on stove and floor was filthy. I normally don't leave such a long review but hopefully will help the next family out. We did enjoy Playalinda beach which cost $20 a car and was good for 7 days. About a 30 min drive away. Airboat ride at Midway was awesome about a 15 minute drive away. Dollar General is right next to KOA if you need any items you forgot to bring. KOA needs to look into this campground, and maybe remove name from it.

Nothing but money hungry. Booked a reservation for 30 days in March. Made the reservation 8 weeks prior to the date we wanted to stay. 3 days after booking reservation I found out I couldn’t make it so I called to cancel. Mind you, I already looked online prior to reservation to make sure I could cancel if needed. Online it states that for long term stays (any reservation longer than 2 weeks) a 30 day notice is required to get your deposit back. The deposit was $1300 because of the time of year (not to mention this was ridiculous enough). Got transferred to the long term stays department where the man told me I wasn’t gonna get my deposit back. Told him I was going to dispute the charge because it clearly states online their national policy at KOA is a 30 days notice and you’ll get refund back minus a $20 charge. He said “good luck, two people just tried to dispute charges and lost”. I hang up, he calls back the next day and says we may be able to work something out. He said KOA would sell my reservation to someone else, and they would give me $650 out of the $1300 back- out of curtesy. I simply laughed and said you’re gonna make someone pay full price and only give me half of my money back? He said unfortunately this is the only thing we can do, but you can’t dispute the charge if you want us to try and find a buyer for your reservation. Long story short, discover credit had enough common sense to read their cancellation policy (which is clearly posted online) and rule the dispute in my favor. KOA is nothing but a money hungry cooperation. They tried so hard to get me to accept only half my money back from the deposit while they could charge someone else full price. Not to mention this was an entire month before the reservation date.

We drove 4 days from Canada to stay in Florida to escape the snow/cold. Booked a 6 night stay here as it was a decent location, easy access to the hwy and amenities for the kids.

We’ve been to plenty of KOAs all over Canada, they’re not 5 star resorts but are nice/fun places to stay. so much to do and to see; Quality places we enjoy.

They have mini golf, jump pads, splash pads, fishing ponds with fish you can catch & release, pool, playgrounds with toys, life size chess/checkers games, green space to run & play frisbee or soccer. This location doesn’t have many of these; the ones they have were unusable.

This location is not like anywhere we’ve ever stayed at. We were told new management took over from someone who ran the place into the ground and it certainly is still a work in progress. We understand things take time & they’re waiting on permits (We were openly told that by management).

The bathrooms are cleaned by staff daily & smell good. However most of the doors (toilet/shower stalls) in the women’s bathroom don’t lock because the locks are either broken or had been taken off & not replaced. The showers in both women’s & men’s are random. You’ll end up getting one without any hot water at all or a shower head that doesn’t work properly. Some of the Sinks don’t drain properly.

The playground looks like it might be ok to use. It’s dated but gated so you can have your kids play & not run off. Our kids never showed interest in it mainly because they were excited for the pool.

When we realized the pool was cold as ice, we inquired and were told the cover was broken so they didn’t want to heat it as it would be a waste of resources. Which we understood. 2 days into our stay they got a new cover in! We were happy thinking maybe we would be able to enjoy the pool. 3 days passed the cover was never placed over the pool and heater not once turned on. Despite it being 24C outside, a Pool being 16C is still too cold especially for smaller children.

It was frustrating trying to explain every morning to our kids as they’re too young to understand. Even after we asked so politely through the week, being told it will be up & running the next day that it doesn’t actually guarantee their words hold any worth. Just excuse after excuse. If they didn’t want to heat the pool this season just say that rather than get guests hopes up.

UPDATE: heater was finally plugged in and running as we pulled out for checkout. Go figure…

We decided since we’re right off the hwy that we would only sleep here & just go adventuring outside of this KOA for enjoyment.

For the price we paid to stay; it was not worth while in my opinion. Rates should reflect what’s available on site.

The staff were friendly. Management seemed nice the one time we spoke to them. We were called after my original review (it was quite mean but justified at the time to elicit a response). we were told many things we thought sounded reasonable so I removed it in hopes to give some grace but I guess we just didn’t stay long enough to see anything happen.

We hope to hear this location does well in the future but we won’t be coming back as there are plenty of KOAs and campsites that are family friendly/enjoyable...

First the positives. The Campground staff that we encountered are all amazingly friendly and were very helpful! So that's a great plus. We had toddlers in our camping group that got a lot of enjoyment out of the playground. Playground was clean, shaded and fenced in so that was very nice also. We had an all concrete site, which was great for leveling the camper, keeping bugs away ect....also a plus.

Now for my constructive criticism. This campground didn't live up to my normal KOA experiences. The campground in my opinion needs a lot of updates and improvements in many areas. The majority of the washer/dryers in laundry room were broken or out of order, which left all of like 2 remaining. Not surprisingly though because they were all very old and definitely need replaced. A small heated pool is available for the guests, however while we stayed it remained covered for all three days. While it may have been chilly out, my Florida born kids would have been perfectly happy swimming in a heated pool. The game room had 4 items, 2 of which were broken or inoperable...again a bummer for my kids. The part of the campground available for short time campers is rather cramped, while the concrete pads were very nice, I felt like I was literally on top of my neighbors and one of the neighbors spent the weekend scowling at us for having fun. I'm not bothered at all by the fact that half the campground is for permanent residents who live in their mobile homes/campers....but really not what I would expect from a KOA exactly. I felt like they almost tried to hide that from the outside world by putting up a fence around the permanent area so campers don't see that....just strange.

Additionally on the few times I visited the bathhouse, I saw stalls with no toilet paper and sinks with no towels. The floors were dirty and I was very glad we had our own shower in our camper because I would not have felt comfortable showering in there. Another big complaint would be that they advertise WiFi,..but all weekend long we weren't able to connect to it. When I inquired about this at the store the lady blamed the WiFi issue on my service provider for my phone....Ughhh No lady, the problem was your WiFi. Literally an hour before we packed up, a guy came around and reset the routers through out the park and WOW WiFi connected. Amazing! Wish they would have done that after my whole group said it wasn't working three days earlier. While there are more issues I could write about I will just wrap it with this....my family and I have fun no matter where we are camping because we are together. However there is so many things that this park could just improve upon to make their customer experience about 100% better. In particular, KOA's generally have higher standards and I was disappointed in the run down nature of this park. I think with a few improvements this park could see their reviews and...

Titusville / Canaveral KOA

I read the reviews and was a bit hesitant about coming here. But after staying a few days (11-16 Feb 2024, here are my honest thoughts.

31 foot Class C with back and side slide (no towed vehicle).

FRONT OFFICE - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ outstanding!! Tara took my reservation and Lilly worked the front when I arrived. She even called an hour prior to closing to make sure I was still going to make it. Already identified a slot for me and had an employee named DJ ready to escort me back to my spot. DJ ground guided me in (at night) and probably saved my marriage.

ROADS IN THE PARK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The road is narrow for an RV park with some big trees in some key spots (drive slow and you will be fine). Same for parking…backing up had me inches from the golf cart across the street.

PARKING SLOTS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All paved and level. I had slot 111, and with my luck, it dipped in the middle with some weakened settled concrete. It took a couple boards on the right side to get me close to level and then some magic with the levels. Some slots are back in, some are pull through. Hook ups conveniently located 20/30/50 amp, cable, water, sewer.

WIFI ⭐️ Terrible about sums it up. Definitely need to upgrade the system and install repeaters throughout the park. My wife works from the RV…the lack of connectivity was unsettling.

FACILITIES - Bath house ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall dated and could use some upgrading. Functional for the most part, 1 toilet out of order (used 1 of the other 3). Ashley was cleaning and doing the best she could with what she had (like I said…needs some updating).

LAUNDRY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ New washers and dryers for $2.50 wash 30 min and $2.00 dry 36 min. Everything clean and dry. Large table to fold clothes. Looks like they are in the process of putting in a new floor (so that is good…I would have done the bathrooms first).

CAMP STORE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Has a small assortment of items. Love’s truck stop and gas station across the street and Dollar General next door…everything there if it is not at the store (especially perishable items). Hours had them opening at 1030, but Debbie saw me looking at the window and said she would open up early for me. Pleasant surprise!!

EMPLOYEES ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (extra star) Lilly, DJ, Ashley, Debbie, Tristan, Tony, and Melissa are all fantastic employees. If you are a competitor in the Titusville/Canaveral area looking for help, swing in and make them an offer. I guarantee you they don’t make enough at this...
