Find another place to stay, this place is not worth it! My stay here ended with a police escort outta it. The only reason it's getting one star is because it was a roof over my head for the night. I became stranded in this town trying to get back home. The person I was riding with became violent and I was literally dumped out of the car on the sidewalk with all my belongings. had 2 backpacks 2 suitcases and some blankets with me. The motel owner was extremely rude and instantly profiled me making comments that "I need to cover myself up more" because "your tattoos and hairstyle choice tells me nothing expect you do drugs". (I was wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants) . He said if I wanted a room, I had to leave all my bags with him to be locked away in one of his private spaces for the night. (why did I agree and let him take my things? Literally had nowhere to go till I could figure out a ride so it was give up my stuff or sleep on the streets) his reasoning for taking my bags was "he doesn't know what I all have in there" and he further implied I probably had loads of drugs with me. (completely ignored the fact I just had to cross the Canadian border to get into the USA and had all my bags searched by border patrol. Obviously I didn't have anything) I also had my dog with me, and inspite of the fact he charged me a pet fee he gave me Rediculous rules for my dog basically not allowing the dog to eat in the room, drink in the room, or lay anywhere comfy. Eventually the police came, got me all my belongings back and escorted me to a more pleasant hotel where I was treated like a human being. This was hands down one of the worst human interactions of my life. 25 year old traumatized woman stranded 1,500 miles away from home comes into your establishment respectfully with money in hand and just asks for one night and THIS is what you put her through? Serious lack of empathy and basic...
Read moreI came to town with 3 other soldiers as part of a Funeral Honor Guard for a Funeral scheduled for Saturday 7/26/23. It was for a local soldier (also a volunteer Wildland firefighting force) who had passed away unexpectedly a few weeks earlier. I called a few weeks in advance to check availability and reserve a few rooms. The owner was very friendly and asked what was bringing us to town, and when I explained to him why, he advised me that he also had been a soldier many years ago and wanted to support us and the family. He gave us their larges suite along with a roll out bed that slept us all comfortably. I thanked him and asked him how much it would be, and he told us "absolutely Nothing". He refused to accept any money for our room. The owner, like many other people in the town of Tonasket, WA are very friendly, fiercely patriotic, and are the epitome of small town hospitality. We are very grateful for such a kind gesture. The room was clean, and the beds were VERY comfortable and I loved the quiet, small town vibe. Thank you so much for your Support, Red...
Read moreThe guy running the place has a bit of an attitude problem, then we got to our room.. there was dirt and stains and buildup in the fridge, and the ice box had never been properly cleaned or defrosted so the ice was so built up nothing would fit in it. Then when I tried to take a shower the water didn't get warm and when I put my hand on the wall of the shower the paint rubbed off on my hand, so it was not a waterproof paint at all. Then the air conditioner hadn't been insulated and it was 34 degrees outside so it was just blowing in from around the unit itself. When you tried to turn on the sink all the way, the handle came all the way off. Then the toilet was clogged and we couldn't plunge it so we had to use other facilities when we needed to go..... So one thing is for sure, I will not be staying here again and I recommend the Junction or...
