Hello: I was planning a trip to the St. Bonaventure area and booked a room a few days ahead of time. On the way there I stopped by my moms house since it was along the way. She has been very sick and in a ton of pain the last several months. Since I live in DE and she lives in PA I see her as much as i can but not nearly as much as i would like. So Saturday 1/27/18 away we went. We arrived at my moms and at 930 AM. We were able to talk for about 40 minutes, then she began losing breath. We were going to take her to the hospital, but before that happened she left this earth in my arms. Truly this was God's plan all along. What are the odds me and my wife both having off the same weekend. What are the odds the game I was going to see happened to start at 4PM putting me at my moms at 930. What are the odds i was even there at that hour given my work schedule and home location. Clearly this was part of a greater power. A few hours later i called the hotel to notify them of what happened and that I wouldn't be coming. The guy was an unbelievable jerk and said cancellations must happen prior to 24 hours. I was shocked and couldn't imagine a person like that even existed on this earth. I said, do whatever you want, my card will never ever pay you and before I could finish the sentence he hung up on me. This was the worst experience of my life and this was his reaction. I sincerely hope nobody ever EVER stays here and they go out of business. In the meantime, my mom now rests comfortably for eternity. I look forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI needed a place to stay overnight in order to catch first chairlift at Holiday Valley in the morning. Not only was I surprised, but also joyful with this experience. I've stayed at several roadside motels over the years, this one is fantastic! Obviously, there's no fancy dining or a spa, but who cares, right? The host, Kelley, was very inviting and friendly and after a 3.5 hour road trip, it's what I needed! The buildings and grounds are well kept and clean. The lot was plowed and salted. Then the surprise of the day, the room! All I can say is wow! I work in construction, new home and remodeling... Who ever did the selections, my hat is off to you, well done. Up to date everything: flooring, window treatments, and the bathroom was perfect and clean. Oh, the mattress was top notch. I mean, I stay at resorts, 300 + per night, and those resorts could learn something from these guys when it comes to a customer's sleep...the mattress was not only comfy, but no lumps or dips!!! The only thing I would suggest is maybe offer a huge comforter for a couple bucks more at the front desk, lol. I'm used to my weighted monster comforter at home šš If you're headed this way and need a place to rest your head for a night or a week, give them a call. I loved it!!! Thank you for caring about a good night's rest and many blessings to you all...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThanks, TA reviewers, for leading us to New Lantern. Itās been years since we stayed in a motel (vs hotel) so I was a bit leery, but we just needed a clean place to stay one night for a long road trip. We called for the best price - which is a few dollars less than booking through Expedia and the like, after those businesses add fees and taxes. The woman taking our reservation was friendly and helpful; I believe we paid $90 using a credit card, cash was $85 (One Queen bed). The room was small but adequate, with a small fridge that actually refroze our blue ice, yay! The bathroom felt more spacious - there was a hair dryer, I thought one review said there wasnāt one. If you need conditioner bring that - āconditioning shampooā is provided. All was very, very clean, the motel looks recently renovated. Cereal and bagels are available for breakfast, along with coffee. Iām a tea drinker, so I made tea in the coffee maker in our room - I think there may have been a few tea bags in the breakfast room but I had my own - and appreciated that there was milk available to add to it. We would definitely...
