Update: I returned a year later for a second visit. Also during the week. Still one of my favorites 🤩. I've been to 12 of these 🌈 parks since I bought my camper trailer. They are all different. They all have their own character.. But This one is lovely. It has a comfortable feeling.🥰 After the short bumpy unimproved neighborhood road,😣 you will see the entrance is tight🫢 something I found at two other 🌈parks as well. If you're towing your house behind you, there will be some careful manouvering🫢 Even though I was unable to get in on a weekend to experience an event, 🥳the layout, the different loops, 🌠the rustic areas,🌲 the hiking trails🥾🚶 the dance barn, 🕺🏻the beautiful swimming pool🏊🏻‍♂️, the restaurant 🍽️, the large property for the seasonal residents - surpass any of the other parks I've been to.🙌🏻 It's a wonderful evening walk.🍷 This property is ginormous! Residence would definitely require a gas-powered golf cart. I understand they're adding cabins because that seems to be the biggest seller for overnighters.🤑 Again, something common in these types of parks is very limited overnight RV sites. They seem to all be focused on seasonal and perms, but they do have plenty of ⛺ tent sites. The tent area does have power⚡ and water💦. There's actually a large centrally located tent area,🏕️ a secondary group tent area,🎪 and a rustic tent area in the woods by the stream.🌊 They have a well stocked store with any type of camping need or food item you would need. Also bathing suits and the necessary 🌈 items as well. The price is reasonable. The staff is exceptional.. Cleanliness is second to none. The only thing that's missing is a playhouse😈 or a hot tub. 🤓

The pool was beautiful. Cold at first but we got used to it. The pool at Hillside was warmer. Enjoyed the people at JP but missed the cafe table servers. Now you have to order at the counter and wait for your buzzer to ring. Less personal now. The dinner food at the cafe was mediocre. But the breakfast was very good. The cabins have some nice amenities when they work properly. I couldn't make coffee the first day because the Keurig didn't work. When I told the staff at the office about it, they replaced it with another coffee maker but that one didn't work either. So no coffee. The dances are usually a lot of fun but on my last trip the music wasn't that good. Almost nobody dancing. But things did pick up later when the music selections got better. If you want an experience that easily rivals JP, we highly recommend Hillside campground in PA. But if you want a low key weekend with just the basics, Jones Pond is an acceptable place to stay, just not sensational.

This was our first visit to Jones Pond. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful. The crowd is also very friendly and fun - lots of positive energy, and a strong sense of community at this campground. Facilities are very clean and placed conveniently. The pool, barn and cafe are close to the entrance to the campground. Cafe serves delicious food and is very well priced. They are a BYOB campground since the state of NY doesn’t allow campgrounds to hold liquor licenses. You can bring alcohol anywhere within the campground - no glass at the pool or barn. A nice perk is that they accept Canadian Dollar at par everywhere: you can pay at the cafe, store and even the camping fees in Canadian cash. The only exceptions are the reservation deposit, which is charged in advance, as well as bingo - those are in $US only.

We visited Jones Pond in July 2016 which was our first time visiting. As we pulled in, we were greeted by both owners, Matt and Brian (super friendly couple), made us feel like we were home! Providing a few tips for our week long stay. The pool was very well kept, cleaned regularly with lots of available chairs during the week, however on the weekend it was packed very few available seats. The Park offers an onsite cafe, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday - I never visited, however lots of people rant and rave about how good the food, I see this being a great option for someone looking to visit with a day pass or a tenter not looking to cook. The grounds offers some great walking trails, the main one (yellow trail) is longest and most used, section are wet the back of the tail as it is close to a swamp, my first time I was in sandals, wasn't the smartest move on my part.

Overall I was extremely impressed with this resort, I will be back again and again and again. If I needed to pick something negative about this resort two things come to mind i) some road ways are washed out extremely rocky and was not easy to walk in sandals or flip flops. The owners have (based on other camps I talked with) made huge improvements on some on the roads, knowing that other campers are seeing improvements year over year tells me they are aware this is an area of improvement and are working on improving it. ii) I wasn't able to...

JONES POND (Where the boys are)

My worries, they ceased, as I took in the air, beautiful day, and the bright blue sky. I felt so at peace, while sitting back in my chair, and I greeted the men strolling by. Booked an RV of my very own liking, amongst numerous camping sites. Hit the trails because I like to go hiking, then sat beneath the stars that night. The day to follow, I'd cool off in the pool, sprawl nude in the warmth of the sun. Simply abide by some reasonable rules, you're sure to relax and have fun. Lucky to have found such a place, my "get away," as a single gay guy. Brought a life jacket, just in case, to kayak on the waters near by. Early rise, baby birds you'll hear, hungry for Momma no doubt. Small grazing bunnies, everywhere, as chipmunks scurried about. Scheduled events I may entertain, bonding with other gay men. Choice to get laid, or simply refrain, but might pitch a tent again. I frequent Jones Pond only once a year, looking forward to it every time. Four hour drive just to get me there, but it's worth every penny of mine. A professional well run business, so accommodating, sweet and kind. Inspired, I'm happy to write this, rainbow flags at the entry, aligned. A real quaint Oasis, one I'd recommend, as I increasingly grow more fond. Go it alone, or bring along a few friends. Either way, you're gonna love Jones Pond!
