So lets begin, we started staying at this campground in 2021, and the first year was great, we had a seasonal site and had no problems at all except bathrooms being absolutely disgusting and very outdated, but little did we know what was to come over the next few years of seasonal camping at this campsite. So the years of 2022, 2023, and 2024, we had so many issues with flooding to the point, where owners of campers were losing them due to flooding because the owner's didn't have the decency to call people when the river was approaching flood levels, despite the fact of having all fellow campers numbers listed in a book. Multiple campers were totaled due to damages. i personally almost lost my camper because by the time i got down to the lower campground, i was knee deep unhooking my camper and the water was about an inch or two from the belly of my camper and up to the running boards of my truck. Owners kept promising things that never happened like fixing campground draining issues and would take his time to fix things like power boxes needing repairs or water lines so sites could have water. THE ONLY MAINTENANCE THAT I EXPERIENCED AT THIS CAMPSITE WAS REPEATED RAKING OF THE ROAD ALL SEASON. This would cause us to most years lose at least a month or two of camping time. Also, promising family of mine sites that they could have once previous campers moved out and then giving it to hoarders of campsites that have rented 5 or 6 sites because they have "First dibs on the site because they have another site next to it." Also promises that were being made by the owner, "to come down early to set up" is usually shot down due to laziness or not being part of the "Cliche". Owner usually favors large family's before taking care of newcomers and making them feel welcome. If you plan to come here for the season plan to have a very bad experience, whether it be flooding, noise, arguments because people are so drunk they cant control themselves, people staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning partying or people riding 4 wheelers with no care as to what is around them. People also driving their cars 20 to 25 mph through the camp while people are walking and kids are playing. Not a very safe environment. If you plan to come here for the night or the weekend you can expect much of the same, examples like dirty and outdated bathrooms, gross showers and old washing machines, no amenity's except river being right next to campground which is very brown and gross. On a couple occasions i have even found glass in the beach areas so i wouldn't recommend going to the beach barefoot. When the campground would flood the owner would come down and hookup sump pumps and electric golf carts to our power box for hours and then we would receive no kind of discount on our electric bill for them using...

Read moreThis campsite was affected by a hurricane in 2011 and under new ownership, the campground is starting to get back into shape to its former glory. There is so much to potential that I am eager to see what the new owners will do with the very large space (i guess over 100 acres) ||I loved staying in the RV, it was quiet and very close to nature, I saw many animals such as beavers, deer, turtles, cranes and eagles. I love that I was able to bring my dog and walk around with no worries through the campground.||Truly...
