We just got back from an unforgettable camping trip, and I can't recommend it enough for families with kids! From the moment we arrived, everything was easy, welcoming, and perfectly set up for a fun family getaway.
There was so much for the kids to do! The campground had a safe and clean playground, pools, splash pad, putt putt, pedal karts, and a jumping pillow. Our little adventurers loved biking the trails, collecting sticks, and roasting marshmallows at night. The kids were so busy they completely forgot about their technology!
Our cabin offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The location was peaceful with a picturesque view of a pond; ideal for morning coffee on the porch and evening campfires under the stars.
The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, shower, comfy beds, and a TV (for rainy days).
Peace & Quiet (with just the right amount of noise): While it was peaceful and relaxing for the adults, there were plenty of other families around, so we never felt like our kids were being “too loud.” It had that perfect balance of nature and community.
Nearby Activities: We loved the close proximity to nearby activities! We went kayaking, took a boat ride, went to the county fair, a museum, and explored the quaint little town of Hammondsport.
This camping trip was the perfect way to unplug and reconnect as a family. Our kids made new friends, had non-stop outdoor fun, and we all made memories we’ll never forget. We’re already planning our next trip back!
Highly recommend for families with children...

Read moreWe stayed at the KOA for 5 nights. The campground itself was okay. The amenities lacked on up keep. The camp store is small but has the basic necessities. We did find that all of their brochures were outdated at least a year, typically two or more years. While the bathhouse was clean, there was little water pressure and warm water in the showers. The laundry room contained two washers and four dryers and only takes quarters. There is a change machine that works, but bring your own detergent and dryer sheets since the dispenser is not refilled. One washer was out of service and we found out from a resident it had been since the beginning of the season. Upon arrival, on a rainy day, it was obvious there are major drainage issues since a small pond formed outside the laundry room, and a river was flowing down the gravel road behind our camper. The dumpsters were overflowing with trash upon our arrival and were not emptied until 3 days into our stay. || The kids did enjoy the large bounce pillow. The spray area next to the pool looked fun, but it was too cold to check it out. The mini golf course looked fun, but some holes were full of water, see drainage issues above. We heard the campground was nice and well kept. Hopefully post COVID it will be able to get back to where it...
