Amazing place for families and kids (7 and almost 2)! Very good value for your money and they have the perfect amount of activities for a long weekend! Some of the campsites are a little on the small side but, this isn't a big deal as there are so many activities and attractions that you don't spend a whole lot of time staying "home". Pool is nice even if it isn't huge (very clean!) - nearby Tiki bar has very affordable and tasty frozen drinks, mixed drinks and a domestic beer assortment (no craft beers). They were relatively affordabe at 8 adult beverages and a kids frozen drink for <$55. Activities that we enjoyed during our weekend there: Luau party (live acoustic music), necklace making, tie-dyed t-shirt making ($10 including a yogi themed shirt), barrel train rides (mostly for child riders but I did ride with my 2 year old more than a few times), larger train for passengers of all ages, bounce pad and the Water slide is fun - even for us big kids! Other things I observed (at least on our weekend): Minimal traffic! Seems like most people came to the campground and stayed - very safe for kids, Minimal late night noise (bad experience at another recent campground with loud acoustic music past 3am), good mix of permanent and weekender campers.

I wanted to love this place. It had way to many seasonals that had lots of extras on tiny sites making it look very trailer park-ish. Our site was saturated and a huge mud pit and was very unlevel. I know rain is something that cannot be controlled but us and the dogs couldn’t even enjoy our site and everything and I mean everything inside and outside our camper was covered in mud and still is. I was excited to be on the lake but it was very small and we were disappointed to see no swimming spot on the lake. The bathrooms and public areas were super clean and had good signage. The staff was so so friendly and we really enjoyed the activities that were offered. When booking I was excited to see they had a cafe and tiki bar but was disappointed to find out neither of those were open during the duration of our trip here. Our site was so muddy we decided to not have a fire but probably would not have anyways given the price of $12 per bundle. This place has great potential and I think in time it may live up to that potential. It was a quick stay and I probably won’t come back but appreciate the hospitality.

The Kids had a great time. Similar to previous posts, the amenities, including the golf cart, water slide, basketball court, pool all provided the kids with enough activities for the day. The Staff is very friend. We stayed at the Tent Site, and our last day, late at night my wife heard noises outside the tent. She didn’t bother to wake me up, but as it turned out, some unwelcome guess invited themselves to go thru our stuff. The Lesson’s Learned is Not to leave anything (Portable Radios, Flash Light) outside the tent. When we found out about the missing item, we called back just to alert the staff. The only other item, which I’m sure at the end of the day, it will make the place a better resort, is that the tent site, looks more like a construction site than it does of a camping area for the time being as they are adding Addtl Hook ups for Electrical and Water Connections

First time staying at this property, and we stayed in the house. We will probably do a yearly 3 day trip for the house. It’s in a great location and for $1300 you get a whole lot of house. My nephew loves this place and has stayed in every cabin type with his friends. They do a great job with entertainment. Labor Day weekend they had an adult event every night. Also, the tiki bar was great with cheap drinks and food. Every staff member was super nice and approachable too. In regards to customer service and feeling the place cares about you, Jellystone Bath is tops!!

Although my nephew loves staying in all the cabins, I could only do the house. The house is excluded from everything. I’m the type of “camper” that likes a cabin with space from others. The main campsite everyone is on top of each other. I know there are social campers that love this, but if you are a claustrophobic type of person like me you’d probably not enjoy the other parts of the camp ground. Also, everyone seems to have a golf cart. Walking the campground wasn’t too enjoyable due to constant dust from the golf carts, and one family almost hit us walking off one of the bridges. He made a rude comment to us, which could of escalated other people to a bad situation. I know that situation Jellystone was not at fault, but they really need to enforce the speed limit and safe driving in this compacted park with the golf cart drivers

So, the house was the best large cabin we’ve ever stayed in. It was stocked with things we didn’t expect like paper towel, hand soap, dish soap, dish washer pods, and all linens. I’ve never been to a campsite that supplies all this stuff especially charmin toilet paper. This gives you the feel that they really care about their guests. The pictures on the rental site hit true. Living area and kitchen were better than an air bandb house. The outdoor deck was well furnished as was the indoor porch. Even the fire pit was supplied with chairs. We loved having fires, and watching the moon rise over the mountains every night. Also, master bedroom was phenomenal. Walk in master bath, closet, and even a tv. Also, wifi and tv in the house were phenomenal!! Oh, and we had spilled stuff on clothes at one point. Jellystone to the rescue, for they had a washer and dryer with laundry soap.

So, nothing is perfect, and there were minor issues with the house. Biggest for me was the fridge. A previous guest must have spilled fish guts from a fish they caught. It smelled so bad, and even made stuff smell. We couldn’t have ice in our drinks without the smell in them, that’s how bad it was. Other complaint was the bathroom in the other side of the house. Shower was not usable. The flow was too low, and the drain was bad to the extent people had dirty water to their ankles. Lastly, the living room skylights were amazing!! However, 2 bedrooms had skylights in them, which we couldn’t close. Usually camp cabins are near impossible to keep light out of the bedrooms. However, usually you can stop some, but the skylights let sun 100% sun in around 6am.

Thank you Jellystone for the great stay! Great job making us feel welcomed with the customer service, and the great job with stocking the house! We didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to be back sometime next year!! Nephew will be back in 3 weeks at one of your...

My family of 3 stayed in the rustic cabin the week after Memorial Day. We enjoyed our stay as the site, was well kept, and had activities to do for our daughter who turned 9 while we were there. The cabin had a bunk beds, mini fridge with freezer( freezer was bigger than I thought), a small island with a convection oven, tv, and a AC. Outside it had a firepit, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill nestled just a steps off the lake/pond.  My daughter and husband barely left the lake/pond as they loved to fish, and caught quite a few fish. The cabin was more than I expected with the exception of the mattresses for the beds were more like changing pads for babies which hurt our backs and I thought it could have had running water weather it be inside or out. Since we cooked, we had no way of washing the cookware. There were two bathrooms by the cabins which had a toilet and a sink which was perfect in proximity for nighttime bathroom breaks. Watch out for the caterpillars dangling from trees. My daughter accidentally locked herself in the bathroom by our cabin. The lock for her was tricky and she didn’t realize you had to turn it a specific way.  I had to call the front desk and Rhonda was there in a split second! The main bathrooms/showers were up to date, and always kept clean. Marty was super sweet as well! My daughter loved the activities from the pool, train rides, pillow, sidewalk chalk, and bingo. Rhonda and her staff were wonderful, friendly, polite and helpful as well!

About the area : the campgrounds are literally in the middle of nowhere on the mountain. However, there is a small town of Bath like 5 minutes down the street. It had 2 gas stations a dollar general and I even managed to find their grocery store. If your looking for stuff to do in the immediate area I don’t think there was much there in my opinion. We drove to Corning one day (25 minute drive), we went to Watkins Glen ( 35 minute drive) beautiful place. The town lost power that day so we were unable to eat in the area. We headed to camp and ate at the Kozy Korner ( it was good diner food). We also visited Elmira to visit Mark Twain’s gravesite and the Soaring Museum. On our last day, we drove into Hammondsport and stopped at 2 wineries. I truly enjoyed Bully Hill Winery! It sat up top the lake, the wine is delicious. We were doing a tasting and asked about tours. They were free, and happened to have one in 2 minutes. Kurt was our tour guide and it made it interesting and we enjoyed the tour! Spectacular Views.

All in all I would totally recommend this campsite for families. Even with the mattress and not having water, the staff made the place family friendly. On our last day, Rhonda hugged my daughter and said she loved us. It was...

We were 2 families with young kids and went for 2 nights in a large camper.

Pros: Amazingly gorgeous and clean bathrooms and showers; friendly staff; quiet nights; kids had a blast (ages 1.5, 4, 6); ice cream and slushies saved us on our hot day; kid activities included large inflatable water slide; daily schedule of kid activities - kids liked all that they did

Cons: Camping sites are packed like sardines. This was such a strange feel to me. There are no trees on the campsites - It was a parking lot of grass - it was not a camp feel; lack of trees made our hot sunny August day a bit uncomfortable during activities...there is no shade to be found except for your own camper canopy and a large tree in front of the main office. Water slide hours were limited to two one hour slots each day: 11am-12pm and 5:30-6:30 - the latter during kid dinner time which was tricky.

My kids had a great time! My first impression was we were parking at a trailer park with kid activities. I kind of never shook that impression but made the most of it - I just shouldn't associate this with camping, I think. I personally felt like an outsider or intruder to so many regulars because many, MANY, sites had permanent decks and other semi-permant structures...though everyone we encountered was friendly. It just was very different that I could have imagined. Most people seemed it was their home or second home and I'm not sure I felt comfortable being is such close quarters and no trees or privacy separating campgrounds. I am not sure I would recommend this or not and I am not sure I would go back. It just depends what kind of experience you seeking. I hoped for more of nature feel...The paddleboats were nice with a great view...but where are all the trees at...
