Sugarloaf Mountain Inn, Cabins & Dining Lodge — Hotel in Town of Bellmont

My wife and I have owned a "camp" on Indian Lake in Mountain View, NY for 25 years. We were very happy to discover that about a year ago Sugarloaf Cabin Rentals was taken over by a new owner who also opened a small restaurant on the premises. We had heard great things about their food so we went over last night to check it out for ourselves. We ordered two different kinds of pizza. The pizza was great. You could taste the freshness in the ingredients in the preparation. I also liked the consistency of the crust. They also offer a pulled pork sandwich with homemade cole slaw and cornbread. Outstanding. I also ordered desert which was homemade coconut chocolate cheesecake. Wonderful. They a very good selection of beer and wine. The atmosphere is North Country Woods and very authentic. Would recommend this place for couples and families alike. 5 stars. Will return again to try their bar-b-que ribs. ...

I have had the chance to photograph a few weddings at Sugarloaf Cabins and a full moon snow shoe event. Each time I go I cannot wait to do it again. The grounds are beautiful and there is a sense of calm that surrounds this place. If you are looking to have a small event, wedding, or just a weekend away, this is THE PLACE! Not only do they have wonderful accommodations, but the food is yummy, and the staff are extremely fun...

The BBQ was second to none! The brisket was tender with great bark. The mac and cheese was delicious. And the collards spot on.

The place is small and quaint with limited seating so make your reservation as soon as you can. My son and I both have smokers and it was great to talk with the owners on how they run their's. Just really great down to earth folks.
