Centerstone Resort Lake-Aire - Tomahawk — Hotel in Town of Bradley

Upon arrival there was a funky odor in the room and just around the premises in general. There were full garbage bags everywhere around the property. I'm sure that is what smelled outside at least. You would think they would have all of that garbage cleaned up by check in. The only reason we decided to stay was because how wonderful the Lakeview was. Don't be fooled by this though as it's the only thing that is good here.

We were locked out of our room due to faulty locks on the lakeside of the building. Where the "old" key card locks, auto lock. When we finally grabbed a housekeeper, she rudely said "that's just how these old locks are". Then a warning should be issued at check in about all of the faulty equipment. Which also included the blinds. We needed proper blinds here too as there was a male employee looking through our windows one day. Extremely jarring and inappropriate. Nothing was done about this.

Then magically we were evicted by a county sheriff and hour after this perverted infraction for supposedly "smoking weed". My partner and I enjoyed maybe 4 tobacco cigarettes while we were there. And we walked all the way down to the beach for that. Even the cop didn't care to try to search us or investigate any further. It just shows how incredibly unprofessional and spineless this family that runs it actually is.

I recommend anyone of any sort of color or with a non American sounding name stay far away. The same man that looked through my window had an unmistakable hatred in his eyes when we were leaving. Please be safe and I hope you takey...

I called and made reservation for 2 nights, we needed a handicapped room. The person that took my reservation said yes a handicapped room was available. Ok, so we arrive, the room she assigned to us was no where near suitable for a disabled person! For one thing the bathroom door opening measured 22”, accordance with the ADA the door requires to be 36” to accommodate a wheelchair another item the toilet did not meet requirements of the ADA! So from that point we looked at other rooms to accommodate my husband and I. The lady that was trying to check us in was very patient, she finally suggested to look at a room on the second floor, keep in mind this is a Friday afternoon. So, we took a look at the 2nd floor room, the bathroom door was big enough but the toilet was really low. We realized we did not have a lot of choices. We took the room on the second floor, my husband has a prosthetic leg, which means steps are not the best ! Not to mention once he takes the leg off and is in the wheelchair, we are located on the second floor. What would have happened if there was an emergency, fire or weather related problem. We were told upon check out we would get a discount on our bill, we did, under $5. My sister and her husband stayed in the same size room we had, so I know how much they paid compared to our bill ! I believe Centerstone has to become more aware of the ADA rules and regulations ! Also, Centerstone must re-evaluate the people that take the reservations! My husband and I stay there October 17 checked in dropped off items in room and left to meet a group for dinner down the road. Got back to the room around 930 and the refrigerator was not on, hot as hell so our water and beer had to stay in melted ice since gas station was closed. No hot water and the bed sucked to where you or your spouse rolled and you rolled into the middle of the bed . Left at 7 am Saturday no one in the office and left key in night box. Called this afternoon once we were able to have signal to call and complain about issues and I was informed that since it wasn’t reported at the time there was nothing they would do to make it right. No phone in the room and no signal on cell phones so not sure how they expected us to call and report anything to them . I found them very unprofessional. I feel they should have to reimburse something but nope. I wouldn’t recommend them . Also just ran into another person who stayed there last night as well and they had the same issues too and for what the charge is ridiculous.
