🏆 Best campground for kids in Wisconsin, if you ask my kids 😜 📌 save and share this with your camping friends and family! We went with my parents to the @Wilderness Campground-Montello which is located in Montello, Wisconsin. (North of the Wisconsin Dells.) And my kids had the BEST time! 🏕️The campground had so much to do for my kids. They had TWO “floating water parks”. A huge bouncy pillow, a swimming pool, parks, a snack shack, beaches, bike rentals, hiking a trails to explore, weekly themed activities, mini golf, and SO much more. We camped close to the smaller pond with the floating water park and it had an awesome beach and little pavilions so we could put our stuff in the shade. We were camping so close to the water that we just walked a few yards, and we were at the pond. It was so awesome for the kids. 🥳My favorite part of the entire process was how easy the check in was. The staff sent up a email about a week before our arrival date and we were able to fill the check in information all online. Once we arrived, we were able to just immediately set up at our site. The staff was so friendly, the campground was organized and everything was so clean. We will absolutely be staying here again. 🥳 Hi 👋 I’m Morgan, and I love to share activities for kids, mom humor, recipes, my favorite hacks, DIYs, Midwest attractions and so much more. Follow along to see the craziness that I call life 😎 #wisconsin #wisconsindells #campground #camping #wildernesscampground #exploringwithkids #gooutsideandexplore #kidswhoexplore #gooutside #explorewisconsin #wisconsin #lifestyle #momlife #campingwithkids

I can’t rate the rooms because we camped. Campsite EE19 over the holiday weekend. We stayed 6 nights. Our campsite was W/E only. It was a moderate sized, fairly shaded site. We were a 2 mins walk from the pool/laundry/bath house and < 1 mins walk from a playground, ball diamond, jumping pillow and basketball court/volleyball net. It was about 4-5 mins walk to Bonnie Lake and slightly further to the office/restaurant and mini golf. The entire campground was clean and the staff was OUTSTANDING! So polite and friendly! They sent text reminders out for various reasons which were great reminders to guests about quiet time, speed and leaving our trash out for them to pick up…amazing!! S’mores Pond was a bit further of a walk and that area seemed to have more of a “party vibe”. We tried to eat at the Snack shack but it was unfortunately closed that day. However, they delivered two pizzas right to the beach and billed our card on file so we didn’t have to carry cash every where! Lastly, the dump stations x4 had full hookup with their rhino tubing and flush hoses! It was wonderful and convenient! We WILL stay again and may even consider a seasonal site in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Wilderness in a short review! We have been Seasonal campers there now for 7 years and the owners take great pride in the upkeep as well as reinvesting in the campground. New lake toys, adding an additional pond and sites as well as playground updates horseshoe pits and a bags area. The list goes on! The also do not slack on all the events they offer each weekend for young and old alike! Themed weekends with tons of activities and music every weekend from Memorial Day to the end of the season. Let's not forget the lakes and fishing! Lots of local eateries nearby as well as the wonderful Amish country shopping! 100% recommend this to anyone!

It's was ok. Seemed to be a Saturday campsite as little to no activities on Friday and Sunday. Too bad we had to leave for the day on Saturday to go to Summerfest. I was going to spend money at the snack shack Sunday, but at 6 pm supper time, it was closed. Why have a closed snack shack at supper time. I rented a cart to peddle my family to the snack shack, and when we got there all of us were ready for a fun supper it was closed. This hangryness combined with tiredness from getting back from summerfest at 230AM and also exhaustion from peddling the cart up hills back from the closed snack shack made me a crouch with the store help. I never raised my voice for 1 second. I just was hangry tired and hot. The store refused to refund my cart charge I used for 7 minutes to peddle to the closed snack shack and I didn't care one bit I just thought I'd ask. It was just $6. Who's cares. Also, please open the ponds water slide. My daughter was disappointed she didn't get to do it once. Again, like the snack shake, why even have it? I think it was open 3 hours on Saturday when we were away at Summerfest. Again, this seems like a Saturday campsite. And my biggest complaint isn't the campsites fault at all. Flies flies flies. I just sat at the campsite by the pond every minute while the sun was out swatting flies on my legs. On a plus the place was very clean and store prices were very, very reasonable. The game room the $25 my daughter spent on games should get more than a single toosie roll and a 2.5" yellow duck from her 265? Tickets She even hit a jackpot. 1/3 of the games didn't work. I won't be back and maybe I won't invited back for sarcastically asking if this was an occasion where the customer was right when I wanted to spend money rent a peddle cart but was told cart were closed. (they weren't) Very little to zero activities other than Sunday. So entertain yourself and bring a flyswatter or two. To ownership, I apologize for being a hangry, tired, hot grouch who never once raised my voice. I plan was to spend money to take my family to supper at the snack shack in a peddle cart only to get there with hungry bellies and see a closed sign which disappointed your...

BEWARE!!! Been going here couple years. Usually things are good but new owners are making changes. Kids can no longer rent the carts on Fridays because of check ins. Geez there are not that many checking in a 6 pm. My biggest issue is the fact that apparently the people who have paid hundreds of $ for a week long trip do not matter!!!!!! Only the ones who come on the weekends. I went to the office to mention about the deflating water toys on Tuesday, one section was completely deflated and total safety hazard!! The whole side of the 'square' water inflatable was completely pushed into the other side with some pieces on top of each other, ALSO a safety hazard!! I assume it was from the storm the previous Saturday/Sunday but I asked the office about it and all they said was "someone was out there this morning to inflate it (which was crap because you could push on the inflatable with your hand, the slip slide mat couldn't be used at all it was so deflated, there was no way they were inflated that morning!!!!) and I was told they "could not do anything about the completely deflated piece because they would have to take the WHOLE THING out of the water and it would be taken out after Labor Day anyways...." AND THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT!!! YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE IT WAS ALL FIXED ON FRIDAY, JUST IN TIME FOR ALL THE WEEKENDERS COMING IN!!! THAT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE WE PAYED HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO GO THERE TO EXPECT THINGS TO BE USABLE AND THEY WEREN'T!!! Don't get me wrong I understand with the storm it might take a day or two but the fact that they did not fix it until Friday when the weekenders came in that's what pissed me off! If they would have fixed on Wednesday understandable if they would not have fixed it all understandable but apparently the people who stay there during the week do not matter to this new owner...

This is a campground review. I don't know what those investments reviews are about. We were checking in with the speed talking desk clerk who talked so fast, we caught every 4th word. It was comical. I'm sure we didn't miss much, its not our first rodeo. We travel the country. It was our first stay here. We were pulling in to find our site, an older lady YELLED at us to slow down, real nice greeting there, we both looked down, we were doing 6 mph. You should consider a radar gun for her so she can judge more accurately. I hope my life doesnt amount to judging speed in a campground so I can yell at people! I enjoyed the pool almost every day, my husband fished. There's a lot to do if you need to be entertained. I personally just like the birds singing. One HUGE disadvantage was they turn OFF the internet at 10 p.m. !!! CRAZY UNACCEPTABLE REDICULOUS behavior which made me feel like my mother told me to go to bed! Sooo 2 nights in a row, we were not able to watch the end of movies, which leaves going outside to make noise for many people. Are you aware people WORD and go to school from their campers? If cable is offered it should be available to use when needed. The campground is quiet, (during the week, we did not stay the weekend) with the exception of one morning, then again in the afternoon a fight involving 2 seasonal drunk women screaming at each other in D section. One sounded like a sailor that had a chain smoking habit. She dropped the f bomb so many times the nice family next to us took their little one inside for some t.v. We were about 8 spots away. Maybe hire them for Thursday night boxing matches?? I may stay here again someday, but for now I will generously give a 4 star for atmosphere and check out some...
