I had very high expectations before setting foot on the property. Not only did this resort receive consecutive 5-star reviews on Google and other social media sites, but my close friends had stayed here on multiple occasions, raved about their experiences, and urged my girlfriend and me to book a stay.||||Generally, one will be let down when expectations are as high as they were. Fortunately, my stay at A TINY HOUSE RESORT exceeded those expectations which should give you the utmost confidence that this should be placed on your short list of places to visit on your next vacation.||||We booked two nights for the end of July 2024 using the website. There are different tiers of Tiny Houses to consider based on their size and location on the property. While the waterfront houses offer a spectacular view of the creek, I can't say that any of the other offerings would be a bad choice. Everything you need to do and see on the property is within a short walking distance. ||||Since we booked a premier house, we were allowed early check-in at noon, three hours ahead of normal bookings. We were met by Margie, the owner of the resort, and an incredibly sweet lady. Before my arrival, I had sent numerous emails to her with questions about my upcoming stay. All were answered within the hour. I was very impressed with the amount of effort Margie and her daughter Melissa put into communicating with their guests before, during, and post-stay. Their website does an exceptional job of providing an overview of the property complete with a map and expanded FAQ. ||||So, our initial impressions at check-in were very positive. The property is well-secured with a gate that is only accessible by guests. This means complete privacy and safety from outside visitors/onlookers. Since we arrived early and our house was still being prepared, we took the opportunity to take ourselves and our dog on a walk across the property. ||||There is something to see at every turn. Chickens, roosters, and ducks roam the property freely, not at all fazed by the human activity around them. Goats and sheep graze in a fenced area, and if you like, you can walk in and pet all of them. We were surprised at how friendly and loving these animals were. ||||As we continued walking the property, we stopped to admire and take photos of the beautiful waterfall. Our dog enjoyed running around the dog park and getting to know other dogs guests had brought. Though the resort is very dog-friendly, I would advise great care around the farm animals. Our leashed dog growled at the goats and tried to leap toward a chicken, which is the reason why pets must remain secure when out and about.||||The property is very well-maintained, with an emphasis on properly securing trash to keep it safe from the reach of wildlife. ||||Weather held up quite well during our stay which gave us ample opportunity to swim in the pool. Though only four feet deep, it was large and refreshing enough to enjoy. Large umbrellas provided shade to the lounge chairs scattered poolside -- perfect for catching up on reading.||||Amazing I am this far into the review and I haven't even talked about our Tiny House, which was spectacular. We stayed in THE FLAT, a premier Waterview house. Walking in the front door, we were impressed to see our freshly cleaned home complete with an enclosed bedroom, a fully serviced kitchen, and a bathroom with vanity. Outside was an expansive fenced deck complete with a grill, covered seating area, and propane firepit. ||||Within two hours we were in our car and on our way to Hannaford Supermarket, which is a mere five minutes away. You'll also find a CVS across the street. We came back with bags of food for our planned BBQ to enjoy on our Tiny House deck. All the grills and firepits are hooked to a direct propane line, making it effortless to use. Some videos are sent to you before arrival explaining how to use the creature comfort utilities. ||||We spent our evenings, relaxing in front of our fire pit, roasting marshmallows. The houses are far enough apart to provide ample privacy and the opportunity to listen to nature. We slept better than we do at home thanks to incredibly comfortable bedding. ||||As emphasis is put on a family-friendly vacation, there are plenty of activities to keep kids busy including candle and bead-making, various art classes, and a daily goat walk. Unfortunately, due to a very dry summer, the creek water had substantially rescinded, canceling kayaking and tubing activities. ||||Having written more than I anticipated, I suppose it's very evident that we had a memorable stay at this resort. So much so, we plan to come back next Summer. Our thanks to Margie for going above and beyond in making this an extraordinary stay...

I planned a 14 person group trip to Atinyhouseresort for my birthday and unfortunately had an awful experience. Everything was going great, up until the moment I actually booked and paid for the trip, and suddenly their team, particularly Melissa, became very rude and unfriendly in her communications. I chalked it up to I caught her at a bad time but going into my stay I felt anxious that things were already turning sour.

We booked two houses to accommodate our party size, the double wide which is technically off the main property and one on the main property, the lodge. The double wide was the larger of the two. We had people arriving at all hours on the first day -- it would have helped us tremendously if we could have dropped a few people off at the property while we made the rounds to collect the rest of our party from the train. They wouldn't accommodate even a half hour early arrival and in fact they were almost TWO hours late turning over our rooms!! We had 10 people on property by 5pm and no where for them to go because the double wide was not ready. That was a HUGE inconvenience that the staff never really acknowledged let alone try to rectify the problem.

Day 2, we struggled to find a way to fit our group into the activities schedule that we pre-paid for. The staff again was entirely unhelpful, rude and passive aggressive. Their whole system to book activities is outdated and inconvenient - you have to text them in the morning to reserve activities on a first come first serve basis with everyone else staying on the property that day. I asked for suggestions from the staff on how to make things easier and they just rudely reminded me as a big group we were not going to be given special treatment. I was so frustrated going back and forth with them and navigating their idiotic system that it nearly ruined that entire day for me.

Some warnings: DO NOT BOOK THE TUBING! the creek is extremely low, maybe 6 inches of depth at its highest which meant the entire time your butt was scraping the floor of the creek, dragging over sharp rocks and crawfish. They also want you to text them so they can retrieve the tubes when you're done which makes no sense because why would you take electronics with you for that activity? I was so embarrassed that I suggested this activity to my group who did not have a good time at all.

Candle making was boring, you simply choose a fragrance and stir the wax in. It's done in 10 minutes. Goat yoga is kind of gross - the fully grown goat walk around you kicking up mud and in some cases, shit, on to your yoga mat.

My group however did enjoy bookmark making and key chain making.

On the last day, we had the unfortunate shock that we would not be able to participate in the activities until 2pm like the rest of the resort because we booked the double wide. I had been texting them that morning to reserve activities to no response. But if I texted about checking out I got a response it was INFURIATING! Seeing as the previous days activities were a huge let down, we were looking forward to this. It's completely arbitrary policy because some of us stayed on the property and some of us stayed in the double wide (both managed by their staff by the way) yet they were attempting to turn our entire group away!! I finally put my foot down and they acquiesced but it was a bizarre and confusing experience.

Since we checked out at 11am we waited on proper until the first activity. We had our dog with us as well. 12 comes around and we make our way to the craft studio and the instructor barks at us from inside the art studio "you can't come in here with that dog!" we attempt to leash him outside and still she yells "we don't do that here!" and as we're trying to figure out what to do she comes out finally to hurry us up. I was so beyond frustrated at this point we just decided to go home early.

To add insult to injury, one person in my group had an early departure and accidentally left with a wristband. They were going to charge me 50$!!!! if it wasn't returned. the perfect ending to...
