My fiance and I were married here in May of 2020, after our wedding was delayed due to COVID-19 Pandemic. It was important for us to keep our original date, and I will forever be grateful to Jodie for helping our elopement be absolutely amazing and safe, with just the two of us and a photographer. It you are looking for intimate, sweet, rustic elopement package (or just place to stay), this is the place for you!
The grounds are beautiful, the room (we stayed in the Pines Duplex) was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable-- I kept taking pictures for decoration ideas for our future house! The rooms are easily temperature controlled, bed was comfortable, and the robes and amazing bathtub made me feel like we were on a luxurious honeymoon (and took a lot of the sting out of having to cancel our planned honeymooned due to travel restrictions).
Jodi is beyond accommodating, and is genuinely a lovely human being. Breakfast was delicious and definitely filling enough to last through lunch or even later. Max (Jodie's adorable little dog) is beautifully behaved and very sweet!
Because we were there during lockdown, there obviously wasn't much to do in the area other than eat and hike, but that worked out just fine, as all of the meals we ordered (recommended on the Inn's website) were to die for. We were more than content to curl up by the fire with some book's from Jodie's library.
One thing to know about the area that we didn't realize before arriving, is that cell phone coverage in the area is rather spotty, so that's something to be aware off, regardless of where you stay. The Inn has free wifi and our room had a landline as well, which definitely made things easier!
This inn will hold a special place in our hearts and made for wonderful memories-- we hope to return for many anniversaries to come. You won't regret...
Read moreThis is a beautiful inn in a very beautiful part of the country. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was wonderful, the smores at night were adorable, and the staff were really friendly. I enjoyed the outdoor furniture, both shaded and in the sun. Chatham and Lenox are both close (about 20 mins by car), both charming. Our room was small but nicely appointed and the A/C worked great. There was nowhere to put unpacked clothes in our room other than hanging them in the half-size armoire, but we made do. The only real downside for us was the busy shoulder-less road the inn is located on. We had hoped to bicycle to meals, but these conditions meant we had to drive everywhere. This might not be a problem for more intrepid cyclists, or for those who don't mind car travel, but it bothered us, especially at night. Pro tip: if you want daily cleaning service, make sure to request it. One day the staff texted us to see if we needed anything. We didn't, but we didn't realize that was the time to request room cleaning!. We figured that out when we returned! One other tip: we paid extra for access to a local lake. Turns out swimming is limited to a very tiny part of the lake, not enough to swim laps. But then you had to swim through tall unpleasant lakeweed, and tiny fish were biting everyone - not painful but equally unpleasant!...
Read moreMy wife and I were meeting up with her sister at Tanglewood for the Boston Pops so we figured that we would book something for the night before and make a weekend out of it. Most everything close to Lenox was booked, but we luckily found this Inn.
They texted a few days before in case we had questions or any special requests. When we arrived, the check-in was quick and easy. It is a quiet farmhouse Inn that is nicely renovated... we've stayed in some older places that were really run down, but that was not the case here. The common area looked very cozy with some nice seating and a large bookcase full of reading materials. They even have an old Frigidaire if you have anything you need to keep cold.
Unfortunately, we didn't stay for breakfast because we had reviewed their long list of local eatery recommendations and found the Bartlett House only about 15 minutes away. When my wife saw they had a Kalamintsi lime soda, we had to go. Their recommendation did NOT disappoint! Everything we had was delicious.
We are planning to make a longer weekend of it next time. The one night just wasn't enough. Next time we hope to stay for at least...
