Last weekend Nov 7th we (my partner Jerry and I) escaped to Silver Lake, NY, Letchworth state park and the town of Perry. We decided to take an overnight not far from where we live as the weather called for mid 70’s. We had hoped to camp but turns out the local campgrounds were closed. After posting on FB that we were looking for accommodations it was recommended that we check out Silverlaken Estate. Turns out the owner Michael still had some of his tiny houses open.

This is a beautiful piece of property right on silver lake with many different options for accommodations. There are two houses, glancing tents, tree tents, tiny houses and a sauna house (which we wish was open)(Covid)there are kayaks and other water sport options, fire pits, marshmallows and more....

We opted for a hike at Letchworth state park, bubbles upon returning to camp upon the announcement of the 2020 election and then we ventured into Perry to the wine bar Ration and onto The Hole in the wall for dinner. The next morning I made us a campers breakfast, French press coffee and leftovers bubbles.

The weather was so gorgeous we took our coffee down to the dock for morning meditation.

I would highly recommend checking this place out and tell Michael we sent you (fascinating person to know) or of you stop at the wine bar or hole in the wall say hi to Jackie and her husband (chef and owners) there’s also a lovely local butcher shop called butter meat co. Small towns, upstate NY charm and getaways that feel like you’ve traveled somewhere else. This is what warms the heart and makes 2020 something we can get...

I can't speak highly enough of this place! We stayed in the bubble dome and house boat #2. My fiance and I have a rooftop tent and usually camp, but for our anniversary weekend were feeling something a bit more luxe but still in touch with nature/the outdoors (plus the proximity to Letchworth is pretty great). The Bellamys put quiet contemplation with nature front and center; I especially appreciated their quiet hours and the lack of loud music (typical in most campgrounds these days unfortunately). The place is primarily operated by Ting, the eldest daughter and I think she has a pretty big career ahead of her in hospitality, if that's what she wants! They were so prompt and friendly in their communication. The accomodation was both cute and extremely comfortable and convenient. They've really thought of every little thing, and I love that the whole place is solar powered! Sitting at the fire at night, stargazing over the lake- just beautiful. The nearby community of Perry is also super vibrant and well worth a visit for breakfast, some antiquing, lunch etc. The farmers market especially was such a delight. We travel a decent amount (Belize, Mexico, Italy, great parks in the southwest, etc), and I have to say this has been one of our favorite spots to stay, ever. And it's very affordable (which... Who knows for how long if the word gets out!!). Many thanks again to Mike and Ting. What a gorgeous place you've created! AND definitely take advantage of the sauna. Even if you've never done one, this is an excellent...

I recently stayed in a tiny home at the Silverlaken Estate in Silver Springs, NY. The area was peaceful and safe for all ages. There were plenty of amenities, including a sauna, grill, kayaking, free firewood and fire pit, and easy parking. The lake was clean and underrated, and the people around were very friendly.

The tiny home itself was nice and clean, with an AC unit and a comfy bed. The shower was a little claustrophobic, but it was workable. The only real downside was that it can be a little difficult to climb up the stairs to the bed.

Overall, I had a great time at the tiny home in Silverlake. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and affordable vacation experience.

Here are some additional details about the area and the tiny home:

The area is located in a quiet, wooded setting, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. The lake is a great place for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The area has free wifi that be used. There are several hiking trails in the area, perfect for exploring the natural beauty of the region. The tiny home is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a kitchenette, bathroom, and living area. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a great stay. If you are looking for a unique and affordable way to experience the beauty of upstate New York, I highly recommend staying in a tiny home at the...
