Honest review. I chose this place based on the reviews and pictures online, but I was disappointed when I got there. When I got there it looked so dingy and run down old place. They have gravel as a road inside. The office has a shrine to buddha. I got the key to my room and when I got there inside my room it was ok. But looks like old furniture they got from the good will store. The pool was closed and had a plastic cover over it with dirty water on it. So I was to stay here for two nights and lasted only one night. The first night as I slept I could hear some woman talking through the walls I guess on the phone. That night I could tolerate the talking but that night I was having breathing problems and a discomfort in my upper lungs. Something in that room was affecting me. One of the towels in the bathroom had a womans hair on it and the bed sheets felt like they were not fully properly washed. Before I entered that room and after I left that room my breathing was normal again. The only good thing was free parking, a fridge in the room, private bathroom and a helpful friendly staff. But the next morning I left and went to another motel. Place is disappointing I would never stay there again. But staff who was Chinese was very nice. Hopefully they will improve this place. Also they had many electric extension cords in the room and hand written notes on the walls. This did not look...
Read moreIt's an old-school roadside motel. The room felt more like an efficiency than a typical motel room, with a fridge, microwave, a cupboard with some tableware, and a small kitchen table. There was also a coffee maker and free wifi, and an electric radiator to supplement the baseboard heaters but I found the room quite warm without it. Everything was clean and neat, no odors, stains or vermin, no complaints. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was nice. My only gripe was that the beds were pretty hard, but I prefer a softer mattress. If you like firm mattresses then this may not be an issue for you. ||I was expecting something dodgier for the budget price, but was pleasantly surprised. It is also close to hiking trailheads and a short drive from local restaurants and breweries, so the location is pretty convenient. It's not the Four Seasons you're thinking of, but it's just fine and good value. I would book another stay here if I have another hiking itinerary...
Read moreThe room was large, very clean, and had a micro wave and refrigerator. It had a comfortable bed. I could park my car right in front of the door. Staff was very friendly. these are the things that I find important in a place to stay. It was difficult to adjust shower water, but once I got desired temp it did not change. It also had large hanging bar, to hang ski clothes to dry over night. Also towels were large, soft and fresh smelling. The place is tired looking and has purgo flooring. It was 26 minutes from Windham Mountain and 24 minutes from Hunter, by way of main well traveled roads. I was told by a local that the road is well plowed during snow events. At $68 a night, I found it to be a great value. It would have been nice if it was a...
